YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1979 MERCEDES 300SD TURBO DIESEL. I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH THE INTENTION OF USING IT FOR A PARTS CAR FOR MY MERCEDES BUT I PUT A $125 BATTERY AND A FUEL FILTER ON IT AND IT FIRES UP SO RATHER THEN PART OUT A GOOD RUNNING CAR I AM LOOKING TO SELL IT.
I ALLWAYS TRY TO BE AS HONEST AS POSABLE WITH MY LISTINGS AS YOU CAN SEE FROM MY FEEDBACK. I WILL LIST SOME OF THE OPTIONS AND AS IS WITH A CAR THIS AGE THE ISSUES. I AM SELLING THE CAR AS IS I JUST COULDENT PART IT OUT WHEN IT RAN SO SMOOTH.
OPTIONS,  AM FM RADIO,POWER WINDOWS, POWER STEARING, POWER BREAKS, LEATHER, AC, FOG LIGHTS, TINTED WINDOWS, ALUMINUM RIMS.

ISSUES,  TACK DOES NOT WORK, SUNROOF MOTER WORKS BUT IS STUCK CLOSED, POWER WINDOW MOTERS WORK BUT MOVE SLOWLY AND NEED HELP GOING UP I THINK IF THE TRACKS WERE LUBED UP THEY MIGHT WORK BETTER, TRUNK SEAL LEAKS ON DRIVERS SIDE, TIRES ARE A LITTLE WEATHER CHECKED FROM SITTING FOR 2 YEARS BUT HOLD AIR ONE MIGHT NEED TO BE REPLACED, CRUZE WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO, THE CLEAR COAT IS PEELING ON THE TOP OF ROOF HOOD AND TRUNK AND THERE IS A SMALL AMOUNT OF RUST BEHIND THE REAR PASENGER TIRE OTHERWISE THERE IS NOT MUTCH RUST OTHER THEN DOOR DINGS AND SUTCH, AND SOMETIMES THE LOCKED STEARING HASE TO BE WIGGLED TO UNLOCK THE KEY.  THE HEATER BLOWER MOTER TURNS ON AND OFF, SEEMS LIKE A WIRE IS LOOSE.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD CHEEP CAR FOR A DAILY DRIVER  OR FOR A GREASECAR TO RUN ON USED FRYER OIL THESE CARS ARE SOUGHT AFTER FOR THAT.  THEY TEND TO RUN FOR THE MOST PART TROUBLE FREE FOR 300,000 PLUS MILES. I HAVE OWNED 2 AND LOVE THE CARS.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS LET ME KNOW
THIS IS A LOCAL PICKUP ONLY THANKS

BMW expects China to pass US as its top market in 2013

Thu, 11 Jul 2013

When you combine two billion citizens, 100 cities with more than a million inhabitants and an economy that's as unrestrained as Jim Cramer on an Adderall binge, China's explosive auto industry growth shouldn't be a huge surprise. Audi already lists the communist country as its largest market, while Mercedes-Benz is expecting it to be there in the next few years. Now, according to a report from Automotive News, BMW is expecting the People's Republic to overtake the United States in sales by the end of 2013.
We already discovered the extent that BMW is going to in establishing a dedicated Chinese stronghold, when we explored BMW's Shanghai-based DesignWorks studio ahead of April's Shanghai Motor Show. And while we argued that DesignWorks Shanghai hasn't really borne fruit, it isn't due to a lack of sales.
BMW China has seen a 16-percent jump in year-over-year sales, lead by a 28-percent gain in 5 Series sales. Part of BMW's growth strategy comes from an ever-expanding dealership network. Remember those 100 cities we mentioned with over one million people? According to Karsten Engel, CEO of BMW's Chinese operations, those 100-million-plus city dwellers don't have access to a premium dealership.

Mercedes-AMG considering turbo fours, hybrid sixes for future performance sedans

Tue, 29 Apr 2014

Think of the letters AMG and you'll probably end up picturing a performance sedan with a big V8. Such has become, after all, the Mercedes turning division's calling card. But with the introduction of its 2.0-liter turbo four, AMG is working at turning that notion on its head.
The highly potent engine produces 355 horsepower and is presently installed in the A45 AMG hatchback, CLA45 AMG sedan and GLA45 AMG crossover, giving Benz's smallest family a full range of performance models. But that might not be the full extent of the high-strung four-pot's use.
Speaking with AMG boss Tobias Moers, Britain's What Car? magazine reports that Affalterbach is considering slotting the same engine into larger models, particularly performance sedans like the C-Class. As we recently reported, Mercedes is already preparing to up the power from the turbo V6 in the C400 to slot a C450 Sport in below the C63 AMG. The C450 is expected to offer around 367 horsepower where the CLA45 AMG et al pack 355, but the lighter weight of the four-cylinder engine would likely offset the truancy of those extra dozen horses. Of course such a prospect would be much further down the pipeline than the C450 Sport which is expected to arrive much sooner.

In Which Mercedes' Sprinter Becomes A Long-Distance Sherpa
In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
As I am about to nod off on my long leg flight from Minneapolis to Anchorage ahead of driving to the Arctic Circle, the friendly twenty-something Alaskan knitting furiously in the seat next to me pauses and says, "When you're driving up there, don't open your windows." In the dead of winter? I hadn't planned on cruising alfresco, but her warning to keep the glazing snugged against the weatherstripping is one I would take to heart. She continues: "If you leave 'em open, a fox is liable to jump right in. There are lots of rabid foxes up there, and they leap into your car and just Go. To. Town." And here I was, thinking that a curious bear or maybe an ill-placed moose in the road was going to be my biggest potential four-legged threat. In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
