Hello, up for Auction is my Pristine 95 RX-7, These are the most rare and collectable RX-7's in the North America.  Only 500 units were imported and only about half of them are left, some in poor condition and others in collectable quality. I am the second owner , I purchased this car back in 07 from a doctor that lived in Canada. When i bought the car it was in great shape,  but i wanted to make it perfect, even better then new. I decided to have it totally restored from top to bottom! As you will see in the pictures and parts list everything was replaced even if it didn't need it , I wanted it New!!! The best parts availableI have invested over 30k on this vehicle , every nut and bolt ordered from Mazda dealer. ( they thought i was crazy)  Maybe so, but it is one of the best and cleanest RX-7's out there. Every body panel is original , this car was never wrecked or abused!! It may have a list of high performance upgrades but it has never been tracked or raced. I do enjoy spirited driving on the highway and occasionally putting M3's and corvettes in there place. This car has unbelievable handling and accelleration. I have owned many sports cars everything from Supra TT to M5 to Porsche , and this car is right up there with the big boys. I am fourty years of age for those who might be wondering so i'm not your typical 18 year old street racer. I have decided to put my baby out for sale to see what happens. I will also include all the factory parts that were removed if the buyer request. I have the original Turbos ,Rear end, injectors ,intakes ,factory wheels with brand new tires, the list goes on. I have put less then 1k miles on the car since overhaul / Upgrade. Everything is still new!! The car is never driven in the rain, and is parked in climate controlled garage I will not be giving the car away so please do not bid if you do not have the funds. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

On May-27-13 at 07:19:58 PDT, seller added the following information:

Be aware that this is a rare limited production vehicle that will only increase in value as time goes on . It is very difficult to find a 1995 let alone one with every available option. Please do your research and see the value of the car and the quality parts that were installed. A stock/good condition/low mileage 95 will sell on average for 20-24k .   This vehicle was appraised at 36k for those you out their that offered me 13k, 15k.   It went up to 25.3k  2 weeks ago on ebay.  As i said before this toy is for big boys who are aware of the value and quality of this vehicle. ( The wheels and tires alone were 5k ).  On that note please only contact me and or bid if you are serious and have the
funds for this vehicle.  Thank You

R&T chases down a burglar in the million-mile Miata

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

Is the answer always Mazda Miata? We discussed this in passing on the Autoblog Podcast earlier this week, and most assuredly the answer is "no." For example, the little MX-5 would be a terrible people carrier, and it'd be useless off road. You can't really tow anything of substance with it, either. Still, if push came to shove, it's satisfying to know that the diminutive roadster could eke out a career as a chase vehicle for the police.
That fact was proven when Road & Track editor Chris Cantle did something that he himself recognizes as "stupid." Upon returning home, Cantle discovered a "twenty-something" actively burgling his home. The resulting story is easily one of the more entertaining episodes to come out of the 1990 MX-5's service to the team at R&T and, we're guessing, will be one of the highlights of the Million-Mile Miata challenge.
Be sure to head over to Road & Track for a full retelling of the chase from Cantle, as well as a follow-up on the saga.

Which car companies are creating new jobs in America?

Fri, Sep 22 2017

Since January, automakers have announced investments totaling $9.5 billion in U.S. plants, creating or retaining more than 12,000 jobs. Some of those companies have yet to announce just how many jobs will be created given their investments, with the location of many of those jobs still to be determined. Specifically, the 4,000-job Toyota-Mazda joint venture plant still hasn't announced its location, with numerous states jockeying for it. Hyundai has plans to invest $1 billion but has not announced a jobs number yet. And likewise Ford is investing $1.2 billion in Michigan without specifying a number of jobs. Volvo this week announced plans to add a second line to its factory under construction in South Carolina, spending another $500 million and adding 2,500 jobs to the 2,000 it was already trying to fill. Then Thursday, Daimler announced a $1 billion expansion to its facility in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to produce EV batteries and electric SUVs, a move that will add 600 jobs to its hiring this year. Above, we've created a handy pie chart showing you which companies have announced new jobs and how many there will be. Mazda hopes to return to Le Mans

Mon, Jun 29 2015

Mazda has been away from the winner's circle at Le Mans for some time now. But it could be preparing a return to the forefront at the famous French endurance race in the near future. That is, at least, if the racing enthusiasts within its ranks get their way. "I know that the expectation for us to return to Le Mans is high. I can imagine a day when Mazda returns," Nobuhiro Yamamoto told Top Gear at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this past weekend. "I hope - as with many other Mazda fans - that we go back to Le Mans." His words hardly serve as confirmation of the Zoom-Zoom brand's intentions, but they certainly speak rather loudly to a desire within its ranks. They hardly come out of left field, either. Yamamoto-san is arguably the man best positioned to spearhead such a campaign – or would at least be best informed if such a campaign were underway. He's currently the program manager for the MX-5, and decades ago was the racing engineer behind the 787B. That Group C prototype racer represented Mazda's last major effort at taking top honors at Le Mans, and take them it did when it won the race outright in 1991. The Japanese automaker was out in force this past weekend at Goodwood, the event's central sculpture honoring Mazda's racing history, and its presence only fueling rumors that it could be preparing a renewed assault on endurance racing – potentially once again under rotary power. The 787B, motorsport history buffs will tell you, represented the first and last time to date that a Japanese manufacturer won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although Toyota has been competing with Audi and Porsche at the front of the field with the TS040 Hybrid, it has yet to win the key race, despite having taken the FIA World Endurance Championship last year. "Everyone at Mazda would love to see the only Japanese company to ever win the 24 Hours of Le Mans return to the famed twice-around-the-clock classic," a spokesman for Mazda's North American motorsports department told Autoblog by correspondence. "Whether that'll actually happen isn't something we can discuss at this time, but, given our historical and current involvement in motorsports, our interest in the event should be no surprise to anyone. We agree with Yamamoto-san when he says he hopes it happens." So while Mazda may not be ready to confirm the prospect of its return to Le Mans, it certainly isn't ruling it out, either.
