I know there's more but I'm at work right now and can't remember off the top of my head. I will add later.

I had the typical 5th gear grind, it progressively got worse. Now it lost reverse. I have a JDM trans lined up I will be getting professionally installed. I already purchased the upgraded clutch fork and a rear main seal just as precautionary measures.

The bad: some of the plastic interior pieces are loose from the cage install, I lost some of the push tabs. A few pieces are missing as well from prior owner..
The speakers aren't in the car, can't sneak them past the cage lol gonna have to get a thinner 6x9 but will include them anyway.
There are a few paint chips and small scratches. I would give it a 7.5 or 8/10 though.
There is a new vacuum leak I haven't hunted down.
The underside of the hood was "tagged" by a local artist that would need painted over if you didn't like it. (I wasn't too happy how it came out, but you may like it)
I bought about $200 worth of stickers as I was planning on powder coating the piping and "sticker bombing" the engine bay. I will include with the sale as well.
I will also include all the stock parts I still have.

I have put roughly $9k in the car just in the past 11 months so I'm losing my ass on it but it is what it is.. We all know how it goes.

I did drive the car 2 days ago and it drives hard and strong. It is always stored indoors and never sees snow or rain and honestly never gets driven hardly ever.
I truly love the car and don't want to see it go, but could use the money and get some of my credit freed up for home improvement loans. (Credit union has the title as I still owe just under $6k on it) it won best of show at a local car show.
I also have pics of the cage build if you'd like them.
The cage is proper with the plates welded, and is 1.675 tubing .120 wall, welded by a certified welder/fabricator. I can give you his info if you'd like as well.

I have the right to end this listing at anytime incase the car sells locally.

I am asking $22,500 OBO

I have dealt with shipping vehicles before and I would be willing to aid in anyway possible at buyers expense.

Mazda recalls 193k CX-9 crossovers over corroded suspension

Wed, Aug 5 2015

An issue with the suspension on the CX-9 has prompted Mazda and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to recall 193,484 vehicles across the United States. The campaign specifically affects units from the 2007-2014 model years, manufactured between October 24, 2006, and December 28, 2013. In those affected vehicles, the ball joints in the front suspension may corrode due to water leaking into the fitting. According to the statement below, if the ball joint rusts, the front lower control arm could separate, resulting in a loss of steering control. And needless to say, that could lead to a crash. To repair the issue, Mazda will have to replace both the left and right lower control arms, and will naturally do so free of charge, but will undertake the repairs in stages. First, owners of the affected vehicles will receive a notification that a recall campaign is under way. Then they'll get a second letter when the parts are ready and they can bring their vehicles into their local dealers. The company will start first with 2007-09 vehicles, specifically those registered in the snowy states of the Northeast and Midwest. Specifically: Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington, DC. (Oddly, states in the the western portion of the Midwest, as well as the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest, were not included in that initial phase. Nor was Alaska, for that matter.) After that they'll call in 2010-14 models in the same states before undertaking repairs on vehicles in other areas to the west and south. Related Video: RECALL Subject : Corrosion of Front Suspension Ball Joint Report Receipt Date: JUL 20, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V451000 Component(s): SUSPENSION Potential Number of Units Affected: 193,484 Manufacturer: Mazda North American Operations SUMMARY: Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain model year 2007-2014 CX-9 vehicles manufactured October 24, 2006, to December 28, 2013. The affected vehicles have front suspension ball joints that may corrode from water leaking into the fitting. CONSEQUENCE: Over time, the ball joint corrosion may result in the front lower control arm separating from the ball joint, causing a loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata shows off perfect 50/50 weight balance

Thu, May 28 2015

When I attended the first drive event for the Japanese-spec 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata in Spain earlier this year, I was blown away – and not just by the car. I was blown away by the charts and graphs Mazda's engineers brought along, showing how every little facet of the ND Miata was finely tuned for pure driving perfection. It's like rocket science. Only cooler. One of the most important parts of the Miata package is its weight distribution. The 2,332-pound roadster must achieve a perfect 50/50 balance, with a driver inside. That's not easy. But it has to be done. Only the best for the Miata. In this video, Mazda shows off the Miata's balance by putting it on an aluminum balance beam, to see if the car stays perfectly centered. You can probably guess the outcome, but watching it all take place is super cool, especially with commentary by Mazda engineer Dave Coleman and MX-5 program manager Rod McLaughlin. How does the 50/50 balance help the Miata's handling out on the road? You'll have to wait until the embargo on driving impressions for the US-spec car lifts. We'll have the full scoop at 3:01 AM Eastern on Monday, June 1. In the meantime, get a sneak preview of the new Miata in the video below. Autoblog readers got a closer look at the 2016 MX-5 at our Cars & Coneys meet-up, and as you can see, the excitement for this car is definitely real.

Graffiti artist Banksy turns Mazda Protege into warfare commentary

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

British street artist Banksy, who currently resides in New York City for its high pedestrian traffic and plentiful hiding spots, recently took his stencils and spray cans to a truck trailer and an old Mazda to make a commentary about war, according to a video report by Newsy.
Part of the canvas, a late-1990s Mazda Protege, is a sub-$3,000 used car at best, but we're sure having Banksy's art sprayed onto it has greatly increased its value, as it did to a piece at a Former Packard plant in Detroit a few years ago. The same goes for the trailer, which looks like it would be right at home attached to a U-Haul rental truck.
The graffito, painted in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, was accompanied by a link to some disturbing audio from a controversial 2007 military video leaked by Wikileaks in 2010. Head on below to watch the video report, and be sure to visit Banksy's website if you want to see the painting with the audio (listener discretion advised).
