Aside from that it ran pretty well when I drove it a couple months ago (we push started it) so the motor is in good condition still (NOT BLOWN). This car was built for the track so the interior is stripped essentially and has racing seats, nice suspension, and is pretty fast for an FD!!! 1993 Mazda RX7 FD Black w/ : ~~The Good: CLEAN TITLE Freshly rebuilt 13B motor (within 750 miles) + street port + Atkins Apex Seals Garrett GT40R Turbo Manual 5 Speed Extreme Dimensions (I am pretty sure) CF body kit + Seibon CF Hood (Needs resurfacing) + CF CF Headlight covers as well Haltech E8 Black Spoiler NICE Sparco Seats 2 Point Seatbelt Harness Tein Type HA Coilovers Springs ULTRA RACING 1 PC SOLID FRONT UPPER STRUT TOWER BAR BRACE ULTRA RACING 4PT REAR UPPER STRUT BAR ANTI-ROLL BRACE Upgraded fuel system (Primary Aeromotive 11142 340lph + Secondary Walbro 255LPH) (4) 1600cc Bosch Injectors CJ Motorsports Dual In-Tank fuel pump assembly CJ Motorsports Stage 1 fuel system Upgraded radiator Upgraded Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) 17" Bronze painted wheels, no curb rash but paint has chipped a little bit but newer tires (I will post specs tomorrow) Oil Catch Can Double Oil Coolers (one on each side) Radiator breather tank New brake pads and rotors (uner 500 miles) Power windows Sunroof (works well) Racing Thermostat Mazda RX7 RX-7 FD3S Enfini 93-95 Short Throw Shifter (not installed) RED STITCH SUZUKA SHIFT KNOB FOR 5 SPEED SHORT THROW SHIFTER (not installed) New Battery New battery relocating cables run from engine bay to behind seat Extra Oil Pan (1) Rotary Key + Two Spare Keys 2x SKUNK2 Adjustable Sleeve Coilover Spanner Wrenches ~~The Bad: 100,000 miles Body is in OK shape, could use a paint job or a wrap CF Hood is in bad visual condition (Needs resurfacing) CF Headlight covers (Needs resurfacing) Trim is going bad Some interior pieces are roughed up, don't fit like they used to Behind seats is all gone, down to the metal so this is built as a track car E-Brake could use some work It's just an old car, it needs attention and I can't give that to the car |

Mazda planning 'aggressive' dealer shakeup
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Mazda has set an ambitious goal of selling 400,000 units by the end of the 2015 Japanese fiscal year in March 2016, and to do that, it's going to need to take some aggressive action. That means that underperforming members of its 637-showroom strong dealer network are about to get the axe.
The purge won't just be limited to dealers that aren't performing, though. Mazda will seek to consolidate poorly located dealers and build new showrooms in better locations. It still isn't clear how many dealers are being targeted or at what point Mazda would end its cull.
This consolidation of dealers is all part of a one-two punch for the Japanese brand, that will also see increased marketing efforts in 35 key areas. Of those markets, Mazda is placing a special emphasis on New York and LA, although there's not much mention of what other regions are being looked at.
Evo pits Toyota GT86 vs. Mazda MX-5 Miata
Tue, Sep 8 2015The latest Deadly Rivals episode from Evo gets the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Toyota GT86 (our Scion FR-S) on track for a shakedown and a whole lot of drifting with Dan Prosser behind the wheel. The UK-spec coupes have slightly different power ratings than ours, but it's all close enough to be comparable. Their Miata has 158 horsepower (ours has 155), 148 pound-feet of torque, takes 7.3 seconds to run from naught to 60 62, and costs 22,695 pounds. The GT86, on the other hand, lists a 7.6-second dash to 60 62, and a base price of 25,000 pounds. The GT86 also weighs 400 pounds more than the Mazda. That's true in the States, too – curb weight for our MX-5 is 2,332 pounds, whereas the Scion FR-S comes in at 2,758 pounds. Both cars lauded for excellent shifting, but one of them has a better front end, a sweeter engine note, more controllable cornering behavior, and is faster by a tenth of a second around the test track. And Prosser doesn't mention it, but one has a lot more body roll. But it takes more than all that to make a winner, so check out the video above to see which is which. Recharge Wrap-up: Renault-Nissan hits 250,000 EVs, will the next Toyota Prius be an SUV?
Sat, Jun 27 2015Will the next Toyota Prius be an SUV? Mazda and Toyota recently reached an agreement to share powertrain technologies, which will help Mazda comply with California's tightening ZEV restrictions with a plug-in vehicle. On the flip side, Toyota will have access Mazda's Skyactiv diesel powertrain, which a source tells Motoring will be used in an SUV based on the Toyota Prius (and, as Hybrid Cars suggests, on the Toyota C-HR concept). Interestingly, the collaboration will also give Mazda access to Toyota's fuel cell technology, which could mean more hydrogen powered cars on the road and the subsequent expansion of hydrogen fueling infrastructure. Could it also make way for a long-awaited hydrogen powered rotary-engine sports car from Mazda? Read more at Motoring. Samsung SDI unveiled two new lithium-ion stationary batteries at Intersolar Europe. In doing so, Samsung throws its hat in the ring with the likes of automakers Tesla and Mercedes-Benz, using knowledge from electric vehicle batteries in the arena of home solar energy storage. In addition to its 3.6-kWh battery, its new 5.5-kWh and 8.0-kWh batteries offer storage solutions at a larger, more practical scale for solar customers. Called the All-in-One, the battery system, borrowed from electric vehicles, is made up of a photovoltaic inverter, battery PCS and lithium-ion battery, and promises efficiency, compactness, fast installation and an affordable price. The quarter-millionth EV was a white Renault Zoe sold to a French computer engineer from Bordeaux named Yves Nivelle. While he credits a government program offering a ˆ10,000 rebate for EV buyers trading in an older diesel vehicle for helping him make the decision to pull the trigger on the new Zoe, "I have to say, I was convinced the first time I drove the car. It's a real pleasure to drive and it feels good to do my part for the environment," says Nivelle. The Alliance had sold around 31,600 EVs from January to May this year, up 15 percent from the first five months of 2014. See the video above, and read more in the press release below.
