1984 Mazda Rx7 GSL-SE with 42k miles and runs great. the a/c is ice cold and all the power options work as they should. i replaced the stock flywheel with a new racing beat lightweight steel and new clutch along with a brand new complete racing beat exhaust system front to rear. installed a new touch screen stereo and still have the original parts if you desire to return it to stock. we have installed new wires and plugs and clutch master and slave due to cars age. The car has a Alabama rebuilt title because someone turned a palet on a forklift into the passeger rear quarter window and top surface of rear passenger quarter, but it was professional repaired and looks great the car had no structure damage it was just straightening the outer sheet metal and rear quarter glass. the car has zero rust on it the under side is perfect and the inside and hatch area are in great shape No rust.the car is black with red interior and there is a small spot on the passengers seat other than that it is perfect. i drive this daily and it is very reliable.serious inquiries please contact me or text. thank you 352-348-1839

Mazda and Fiat finalize deal for Alfa roadster, next-gen MX-5 Miata
Fri, 18 Jan 2013Although a little bit later than expected, Mazda and Fiat have signed a final agreement that will bring a next-generation MX-5 Miata to the Japanese automaker and a new roadster to Alfa Romeo. When the proposed arrangement was announced back in May, the two automakers had hoped to seal the deal last year, but it doesn't appear that the production timeline for these cars has slipped any, with both expected to start rolling off assembly lines in 2015.
Other than a shared chassis with a rear-wheel-drive layout, it sounds like the two cars are still planned to be distinct in their own ways from their styling right down to their engines. Mazda will produce both cars at a plant in Hiroshima, Japan, but it isn't clear what role each automaker will play in the cars' developmental process. The big question, of course, is what clever portmanteau name we can come up with, like Toyobaru. Mazda Romeo is the easy choice, but Alfazda might roll off the tongue a little better.
Scroll down for a brief press release from both automakers.
Miata driver pulls off hilariously diabolical move in fender-to-fender racing
Wed, 27 Aug 2014Racing is all about finding the little advantages over competitors that allow you to get ahead. Sometimes those are legitimate means - like being able to take advantage of a better line through a corner - and other times drivers get a little more creative for a leg up over opponents. Sometimes things might even go a little too far. Case in point: just watch the opening of this Mazda MX-5 Cup race from Silverstone in the UK.
According to the YouTube description, we're riding with James Rogers in this video, and he appears to be pretty talented behind the wheel. Rogers has a great start from fifth that has him in third within just a few corners. He starts stalking the top two drivers, who are already having a fantastic race themselves, but then we see that the person in second is clearly willing to do whatever it takes to win. Just watch the video, and you'll see what we mean. Bravo (?) to that racer for some very quick, albeit fiendish, thinking.
2014 Mazda6: Winter's End Update
Mon, 14 Apr 2014The Winter Without End is seemingly dead. Outside my office windows, my brown and yellow lawn is fully exposed to the increasingly powerful sunshine, the morning birdsong is louder than anything until the garbage trucks start rolling, and I'm seriously considering having the summer tires put back on my personal fleet. That last one is a little scary, as I'm a firm believer in the April Snow Jinx, but you get the idea.
The long-term Mazda6 has also long since left my driveway. Looking back on my notes from the time it was in my charge, however, I see all remarks are dominated by one highlighted section at the top: "worst winter drive of all time." I hardly need the reminder, to be honest. Here's what happened.
When the Mazda showed up at my door, we'd already fitted the thing with its new winter rubber: Bridgestone Blizzaks. Plunking down for dedicated snow tires was a near necessity this year - as it almost always is in Michigan. We didn't see much reprieve from snow-choked, iced over roads here in Ann Arbor, and the knobbier rubber proved invaluable in getting me out of my house time and again.
