*1995* Mazda Rx-7 Base Coupe 2-door 1.3l on 2040-cars
Manor, Texas, United States
'95 RX-7 (5 spd). Power steering, cold A/C, Serious inquiries ONLY. Car
has About 58,500 miles, on ORIGINAL engine, Very Clean. Black Interior.
Only 500 '95 models ever imported to the US.
Current Mods (Mostly for reliability purposes): - Apexi Power-FC w/ Commander (also have the origin ECU) - Upgraded Fuel Pump (Nippon Denso OEM Part for R34 Nissan Skyline GTR) - HKS (heat wrapped) down-pipe - Pettit Racing upgraded blow-off valve - M2 Cold-air Intake (also have the original air box) - Koyo Dual-Core Radiator - Blitz Nur-spec cat-back exhaust (also have a "Tanabe Touring Medallion" cat-back, and the stock muffler which can be swapped in upon request of the buyer). - Boost Gauge mounted on steering column using a Pettit Racing column guage mount. - B&M Short Shifter - Seibon Carbon Fiber Vented Hood (DS Style) - Upgraded grounding points. The car runs beautifully and has been used as my Daily Driver since I purchased it in 2006. The modifications above were performed as soon as I had gotten the car (around 18,500 miles on the odo). Before that it was owned by only one other person who purchased the car in 2003 from a Seattle Mazda dealership and he mostly let it sit in his garage. From 1995-2003 this car was actually used by Mazda as a test vehicle for recall purposes. I have all original documentation and records from the dealership and original owner. As far as maintenance goes I've given it new plugs and oil every 6 months whether it needed it or not. Brake fluid changed every year and AC has recently been recharged and wheels aligned last year. Now the here's the kicker... As you can tell from the pics the front bumper, fenders, and hood are NOT original. Thanks to a slight fender bender with a truck. Unfortunately he didn't have insurance and I didn't have full coverage. That being said the two front bumper mounting brackets had to be replaced as well as the bumper cover, headlight covers, hood and front fenders. The frame is straight as an arrow and the airbags were not deployed. Please let me know if you have any specific questions regarding any aspect of this car, I will be happy to answer them in a timely manner. It saddens me to have to get rid of it, but with a kid on the way 2 seats just wont cut it. Thank you so much for looking at my auction and happy bidding. *More Pics and Videos Available upon Request* *$1000 deposit is required within 24 hours of winning the auction* *Shipping* Buyer is responsible for shipping |

Car and Driver 10Best list cracked by Tesla Model S, BMW 3 Series left off
Fri, Nov 21 2014Car and Driver is keeping new blood pumping into its annual 10Best cars list with three new entries making it on for 2015 and a perennial favorite falling off. Among the biggest shocks this year is that the BMW 3 Series and 4 Series are no longer named, despite years of some portion of that lineup earning a mention. In another surprise, the Tesla Model S (specifically in S 60 trim to fit under the $80,000 cost cap) makes it to the 2015 roster and is the only electrically motivated member of the group. Despite the loss of the 3 Series, BMW isn't entirely shut out this year, because the M235i gets its name on the list. Car and Driver argues that the little coupe feels like a welcome throwback to the E46 chassis M3 of the early 2000s. In addition to the Model S, the final newbie to the annual group is the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The inclusion of these new members knocks the Audi A6/A7 family and Ford Fiesta ST out from the 2014 rundown. The other seven models carry over from last year, including the Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Honda Accord, Mazda3, Mazda6, Porsche Boxster/Cayman and Volkswagen Golf/GTI. The 2015 10Best cars list certainly seems to have something for everyone from the hot hatch fan to the family man and even the green car driver, thanks to the addition of the Tesla. Head over to Car and Driver to read its detailed explanations for each vehicle's inclusion, but if you've got a difference of opinion or just really like the list, let us know in Comments. Tow truck driver hilariously bad at righting a flipped Mazda
Wed, 30 Oct 2013Can rolling your car get any worse? The correct answer is yes, as this poor soul found out when he rolled his Mazda3 onto its side. Calling a tow truck might be a logical, post-rollover move, but in this case, it kind of made the situation worse.
We don't want to give away just what happened, so you'll need to scroll down and watch the video. A fair warning, though, it does contain a moment of colorful language towards the end, so watching it at work, with the volume up, might not be wise. Have a look below for the full video.
Goodbye Zoom-Zoom, Driving Matters is Mazda's new slogan [w/video]
Thu, May 21 2015Timed with the launch of the 2016 MX-5 Miata, Mazda is now changing gears with its advertising strategy in the US by launching a whole new slogan. The Japanese brand's latest marketing motto takes a much more direct approach than Zoom-Zoom by simply saying Driving Matters. The two-word phrase is meant to make customers believe that a good time behind the wheel can improve their lives. Driving Matters is also supposed to say something about how Mazda engineers vehicles. "Whether it's for safety purposes or for maintaining our 'fun to drive' nature, it all comes down to the fact that driving matters to our customers and it matters to us." Russell Wager, vice president of marketing at Mazda North American Operations, said in the announcement of the new campaign. However, Zoom-Zoom isn't entirely dead, and the words still appear in small print in some of these spots. According to Wager in an interview with Automotive News, the old slogan isn't necessarily understandable to some focus groups. "I'll ask them to explain to me what 'Zoom Zoom' means, and I'll get 6 or 7 different answers. That's what Driving Matters is supposed to address. It's supposed to solidify what 'Zoom Zoom' means to people," he said. So far, the company has released several examples of the campaign to highlight the Miata and Mazda6. At the same time, Mazda is launching a new commercial (embedded below) called A Driver's Life that showcases many of its models but puts a big emphasis on the MX-5. Mazda Launches All-New Advertising Campaign, "Driving Matters" - New Campaign Communicates How the Joy of Driving Can Enhance Your Life - IRVINE, Calif. (May 21, 2015) –The Oxford Dictionary defines "driving" as, "operating and controlling the direction and speed of a motor vehicle." Mazda believes that driving is more than a definition. Driving is an experience that can enhance your life. To better illustrate how every Mazda vehicle embodies why "Driving Matters," today Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) is rolling out a new advertising campaign. Driving Matters is an evolution of the Game Changers campaign. With Game Changers, Mazda succeeded in increasing consumer awareness of the functional attributes of our vehicles. Driving Matters will extend the message by creating an emotional connection to the brand.
