Hi there...

Thanks for checking out my car :)

I'll give you a nice run down .....

ive had this car as a fun weekend driver / custom project for a couple years now !

This car is an absolute blast to drive... handles amazing and has a lot of power for a 4cyl car :)  SHE WILL SURPRISE YOU LOL

I'm only selling it because I simply need to catch up on some bills.... and well sometimes we just have to part with our toys :(

I own an auto repair shop so the car has been kept up with very nicely... never missed any maintenance.

Have used Amsoil full synthetic oil since ive owned the car.

Recent work...  2 new coils and 4 new injectors installed... also just did an update to the computer and had it reflashed by mazda to

fix a slight blip in the fuel delivery... runs smoother than ever now !

all new spark plugs and timing belt was put in about 25,000 miles ago

Motor runs great and is very clean for the miles on her...

Also had a brand new clutch and transmission installed at 100,000 miles..  Trans is tight and shifts nicely !

no rips in seats... minor scratches on outside view all pics. If you want any close up shots of something in general shoot me a message.

The Mazda MX-5 Miata and saving a marriage

Mon, Apr 6 2015

I've had the privilege of knowing Zach Bowman – former Autoblog scribe, now penning great things over at Road & Track – for nearly a decade. We met at the Detroit Auto Show when we were both relatively new to the business, and joked about how someday, we'd work together and eventually conquer the world as big shots in the industry (we're still figuring that last part out, by the way). Thus, I was thrilled when Zach joined Autoblog in 2010, just a couple of months after I was hired, and was equally saddened when I learned he'd be leaving us. Zach is someone I'm proud to call a colleague – nay, a friend – and I've enjoyed the voice he's brought to this line of work. I tell you this on a personal level because Zach has just published what you could arguably consider his most heartfelt piece of automotive work to date. It's a charming, emotional story about his relationship with his wife, and how they, like so many young couples, learned to make marriage work through the many ups and downs found in any solid relationship. I call this "automotive work" because Zach intertwines this tale into a story about driving his 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata across the country, his wife by his side, learning about love and life from the cockpit of a two-seat roadster. I can honestly say it's one of the best things I've read in a long while. Rather than continue to wax poetic about Zach's latest piece, I'll let his own words speak for themselves. Head over to Road & Track to read the full piece.

Translogic 182: CXC Motion Pro II Racing Simulator

Thu, Aug 13 2015

Translogic gets some seat time in the CXC Motion Pro II to test if the high fidelity racing simulator can impact our host's real-life track times. Host Jonathon Buckley hits the track at Auto Club Speedway of California in a 2015 BMW M4 to put down a baseline lap time before his virtual training session in the Motion Pro II. After learning the lines of the track in a simulated setting, Jonathon returns to the track to put his skills to the test. "We designed it, originally, as a professional training tool for race car drivers," says CXC Simulation's founder and president Chris Considine. "Make it authentic. Make it real." The Motion Pro II boasts "thousands of cars and track models," ranging from street cars, to rally and off-road vehicles. Will this hyper realistic racing simulator help Jonathon improve his lap time? Mazdaspeed2 supermini hot hatch under consideration

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

Though the Ford Fiesta ST and Fiat 500 Abarth (and arguably the Mini Cooper S) may stand pretty much alone in the North American market, in overseas markets, supermini hot hatches are a big deal. Unfortunately, challengers like the Volkswagen Polo GTI, Seat Ibiza Cupra and Renault Clio RS 200 Turbo never make it to our showrooms, but word has it that there's soon to be a new entry on the market.
That would be the Mazdaspeed2, which would be badged in certain markets as the Mazda2 MPS. Speaking with Australian site CarAdvice.com.au at the launch of the Mazda2 on which it would be based, the Japanese automaker's global sales chief and the hatchback's deputy product manager hinted that such a product is definitely being discussed, even if it hasn't yet been approved.
This wouldn't be the first time such a notion were entertained, as Mazda has shown numerous performance concepts based on the previous Mazda2/Demio over the years, but none have come to fruition.
