Please read terms & details about my listings before bidding. Also, if new and not sure how eBay works don’t hesitate to contact me first!!
I'm listing this 1991 MIATA with about 108,000 miles for nice gentleman in Clearwater, about 20 minutes from me. He's selling it due to back issues - is getting hard for him to get in and out. This roadster used to belong to his brother-in-law who knows quite a lot about these Mazdas. From what I understand, this Miata has been part of the family for sometime, but don't know entire ownership history, and as far as I know it's an accident free vehicle.
When creating this listing, eBay provided a choice whether this Miata is the "base" or the "se" version. I really don't know which one is it. If you do, please let me know so that I can update the listing. The Miata runs very well, shifts fine and it's tight too. A/C works, and has new battery. I was told that the engine was rebuilt about 50,000 miles ago, and it shows. The stereo has been upgraded to a Phase Linear CD Stereo System which sounds pretty good, (I did not know that Phase Linear made car stereos). Brother-in-law installed an electric trunk opener which can be operated from the arm rest compartment (see one of the photos).
The car has been garaged kept for the last 5 years in Florida and only used in sunny days. The car was originally from virginia. I took the time to show undercarriage photos and the floors are intact. Did not see any rust other than some surface rust under the undercarriage and on the driver side door, but nothing major at all (see photos). Cosmetically this Miata is very respectable. Body is straight, and I did not see any evidence of accident repairs, etc. The paint is decent, but don't expect show quality. Top is new with very little use.
To sum it up, this is a very nice, clean and turn-key Miata that's in need of a new home. Personally, I have always appreciated these cars. They are the ultimate "british roadster," reliable!! My father has owned a few of these, and currently owns one with a supercharger... Very fast!! Thanks for looking and let me know if you need anything else!
This is a NO RESERVE Listing: This is a great opportunity to buy a nice Miata at a fabulous price! PLEASE...Serious eBay Members Only! If Not Sure How eBay Works Don’t Hesitate to Contact Me First!!
Required Deposit: A $350.00 deposit is due within 24 hours from the end of the auction and is payable through Pay Pal. The deposit is refundable ONLY in the event I failed to accurately describe the vehicle, OR if you uncover an issue that I wasn't aware of. I cannot accept balance through Pay Pal because Electronic Tracking is required to maintain Pay Pal Buyer/Seller Guarantees.
Payment of Balance: The balance is payable to the seller at the time you take possession of the vehicle. Payments can be made by personal check (upon clearance), cashiers checks (upon clearance) bank wire transfers, or good old fashion cash.
Taking Possession of The Vehicle: Our policy is that you take possession of the vehicle and finalize the transaction within 7 days. If you require additional time, please let me know so I can make the arrangements with the seller. Please note, that the Seller has possession of the vehicle, so it'll be picked up at the Seller's address. Although I've examined the title, it's also in the possession of the Seller and will be endorsed when the transaction is finalized.
Out of Town Buyers – Shipping the Vehicle: If you're an out-of-town buyer, full payment must be made prior to shipping. I'll be glad to assist buyers in making shipping arrangements and I can refer buyers to a trusted transportation company that I personally use, but all costs are buyer's responsibility.
Car History Reports: eBay no longer offers complementary car history reports since I transact such a quantity of sales. So, I leave it to the buyer to pull one if desired.
Warranties & Guarantees: As is customary, the vehicle is being sold “As Is,” and there are No Warranties or Guarantees offered.
Prior Sale of Vehicle: Keep in mind that I'm listing vehicles for others, and on a very rare occasion it happened that a seller changed his mind during the course of the auction. We ALL act in good faith, but an unforeseen circumstance can arise.... in two years of conducting eBay vehicle auctions and having sold hundreds of vehicles, this kind of thing happened once, but I wanted to mention this VERY REMOTE possibility right up-front.

ABOUT ME – The Listing Agent
My name is Jose I'm a Graphic Artist by profession and a car lover by choice...In fact, I worked my way through college doing mainly sports car restorations. Although I'm not a “master mechanic,” I know cars VERY well and have an eye for value. I'm not a “Car Dealer,” or a “Broker,” but I provide a valuable service to individuals who don't have the time or expertise to list their vehicles on e-Bay.
While I provide this service as a “Business,” I'm VERY particular about who I deal with, and I'm especially careful when it comes to the vehicle being sold. In fact, I reject vehicles that don’t meet my criteria, and this accounts for my success! I utilize an extensive “Check List,” on every vehicle. I personally check all the paperwork, inspect the vehicle (including paint, bodywork and engine) and finally test drive myself if applicable. While I do my best to uncover and disclose all possible issues relating to a vehicle, I always suggest that buyers have the vehicle inspected before finalizing a transaction.
As you can see, I've achieved good rating on eBay, so my major objective is to provide eBay members with complete satisfaction, and a fair deal! eBay members are the most important part of any transaction that I make, so my goal is to be as accurate as possible. If an issue does arise, I'll do my best to solve it. I believe that communication can solve any problem, so if you buy or bid on a vehicle that I've listed, and a problem arises, please talk to me before leaving any negative feedback! Communication is the Key to a GREAT Deal. Don't Hesitate to Contact Me at 727.522.2531

Autoblog Minute: VW Q3 financial woes, 2015 Tokyo Motor Show
Fri, Oct 30 2015Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. Copyright Office offers a ruling affecting car owners, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. Autoblog senior editor Greg Migliore reports on this edition of Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Consumer Reports pulls its Tesla recommendation, the U.S. copyright office offers a ruling that affects car owners and gear heads, VW gets hit hard with third-quarter losses, and lots of exciting news from Tokyo. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. After a week away testing vehicles for Autoblog's Tech of the Year award, we're back in the office to recap the week in automotive news. [00:00:30] One of the things you might have missed was Consumer Reports pulling its recommendation of Tesla's Model S sedan. The blemish for Tesla comes after a tally of reviews from customer surveys. The most common problem areas for the Model S as cited by survey takers included: the drivetrain, power equipment, charging equipment, body and sunroof squeaks, rattles, and leaks. So lots of stuff. Though they could not ignore a score of "worse-than-average", Consumer Reports still [00:01:00] highlighted the fact that the Model S was "the best performing car" they've ever tested. Telsa CEO Elon Musk took to social media to defend his sedans saying: "Consumer Reports reliability survey includes a lot of early production cars. Already addressed in new cars." And, "Tesla gets top rating of any company in service. Most important, CR says 97% of owners expect their next car to be a Tesla (the acid test)." In Financial news, Volkswagen took a hit and reported an operating loss of [00:01:30] $3.84 billion. This is the first such loss for VW in 15 years. Toyota reclaimed the crown as the world's largest automaker as well. It's important that it's not all doom and gloom for VW though in Q3. Sales revenues were up and the company's automotive division boasts $30 billion dollars in liquid assets. It's a sizable war chest that will no doubt come in handy, as the company has yet to feel the full brunt of the diesel emissions scandal. Good news for gear heads. The US copyright office [00:02:00] ruled in favor of mechanics and car owners by granting an exception to existing copyright law. The law was originally meant to prevent software pirating and bootlegging of Hollywood movies.
LA Design Challenge invokes biology for 2025 concepts [w/poll]
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Participants in the annual LA Design Challenge always manage to come up with edgy, wacky designs for future vehicles, but with a theme of "Biomimicry and Mobility: 2025" this year's crop of cars might be the quirkiest we've ever seen. As usual, automotive designers from around the world participated in this year's competition, and all the designs will all be unveiled next week during the LA Auto Show with a winner being announced on November 21.
Chinese automakers made a strong showing with Qoros, SAIC Motor, JAC Motors (the company responsible for the Ford F-150 clone) and Changfeng all bringing interesting takes on the biology, human intelligence and sustainability theme. One of the more innovative ideas among these automakers is the Qoros Silk Road System allows autonomous vehicles to drive in packs similar to how ants travel. Speaking of ants, the SAIC Motor Mobiliant (shown above) gets its design from the shape of an ant's body, and, like the insect, it can climb building acting as a personal elevator as well. The JAC Motors design also merges vehicle and building design, while the Changfeng LaBrea inspired by the design of muscle fibers.
Other entrants include Subaru and US-based design teams for BMW, Toyota and Mazda. BMW's duo of concepts mimic plant and animal life. The LA Subways concept acts as a submersible, single-person vehicle to take advantage of the LA river, with a shape similar to an Ocean Sunfish. The Sustainable Efficient Exploratory Device (SEED) imitates the shape of a seed pod, and uses propulsion methods inspired by a shark, dragonfly and a water bug. Mazda's Auto Adapt might be the most car-like concept of the bunch, while the Subaru Suba-Roo and the Calty-designed, Toyota e-grus are the most mind-blowingly awesome.
Ward's releases 10 Best Interiors list for 2014
Thu, 10 Apr 2014While we're still a ways off from the automotive awards season proper, where things like North American Car and Truck of the Year, Motor Trend's Car of the Year and Car and Driver's Ten Best are named, that doesn't mean there aren't trophies being handed out to deserving automakers. Ward's 10 Best Interiors being one of them.
As the name might imply, the magazine focuses on the very best interior treatments in the US market. Whereas some awards purposely exclude extreme, high-dollar offerings, Ward's considers them - the only requirement is that a vehicle has a "new or significantly redesigned interior."
Ward's offered up the list of winners in simple, alphabetical order, and it only seems fair to do the same:
