2008 Mazda Mx-5 Miata Grand Touring Convertible 2-door 2.0l on 2040-cars
Blue Eye, Missouri, United States
Absolutely nothing wrong with my car only selling because we have too many vehicles and do not use enough as evident by only having 8000 miles per year driven. ONLY driven in good weather. Garaged in a heated/climate controlled environment and stored under a cover. Truly a "babied" 5th car.
Gorgeous Color combo Copper Red Mica (still available on 2013) and Saddle Tan Leather Seats (no longer available). This car was completely equipped with all available accessories and THE TOP of The Line Model a Grand Touring Special Addition comes with almost everything Standard except the 6 Speed Automatic Transmission with "Manual" sport mode and a Paddle Shifter. Before delivery when new, the Mazda dealer installed a High End Kenwood Sound System including AM/FM, Satellite Radio, CD & DVD Player, MP3 Music Input, & GPS Navigation "Ready" (not presently installed), also factory authorized and warranted "Mazda Speed" Handling Package which included front and rear stabilizer bars and "Mazda Speed" Cold Air Induction System which not only adds a few HP but dramatically increases fuel economy. I get OVER 30 MPG all the time in mixed Hwy and City driving and that's better than the claimed EPA Hwy mileage! A factory fitted Front Mask (BRA) has never been off the car since installed. All these options are Mazda built and approved. I just installed a premium set of All Season High Performance one size up P225/45R17 Tires with only 7000 miles. Installed new brake pads also even though they were at 50% or better and not needed. I had purchased them already so I installed them. Never in an accident and no dents and very little if any scratches at least much better than average and never left in parking lots. Needs absolutely nothing to my knowledge but a new home. Only Full Synthetic Mobil One 5W30 Oil and no more than 3000 between changes and could go 7000 but not me! Even changed the differential Fluid to Synthetic last year. Check my feedback score and buy with the confidence of purchasing from the OWNER that is losing money not a dealer making money. Located just a few miles from Branson, MO in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. Fly in, play in and enjoy the area and drive this car home. We are on Table Rock Lake across from Big Cedar Lodge. (And Home of "Bass Pro Shops") Owner will be 70 this year so please consider it "Adult" owned and driven. Thanks.......... you will not be disappointed ! Please call me with ANY questions. Absolutely no trades. Kindest Regards Mike 417-254-3333 |

Mazda to relocate its US offices into Irvine's tallest building
Sun, Jan 17 2016Mazda is the latest foreign automaker to be moving its North American headquarters. Only this time, it's not moving further south. Instead, the Japanese automaker is simply relocating to another facility in Irvine, CA. In a little over a year from now, Mazda North American Operations will move to 200 Spectrum Center Drive (pictured in the rendering at right), taking up five of the 21 floors in Orange County's tallest building for a total of over 100,000 square feet of office space. It'll also take up half the lobby with vehicles on display and the exclusive naming rights on the top of the building. The facility, designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, boasts full glass walls from floor to ten-foot ceiling for uninterrupted 360-degree views. Mazda has been in its current US headquarters at 7755 Irvine Center Drive (pictured above) since 1987. The five-story building was specifically constructed for the purpose and was the tallest in Irvine at the time. Prior to that it was based in Compton from 1970. The move to the new facility is scheduled to take place in February, 2017. Mazda's announcement marks only the most recent of foreign automakers to relocate their North American headquarters. Toyota is moving to Texas, Subaru to Camden, Lotus to Ann Arbor, Daimler to Farmington Hills, and Mercedes-Benz to Atlanta (where Porsche recently relocated, as well). Cadillac also recently moved from GM's Renaissance Center in downtown Detroit to its new headquarters in New York. Hyundai and Kia also quarter their North American operations in Irvine, as does Aston Martin. Meanwhile Honda and Toyota (for the time being) are based less than an hour away in Torrance, and Mitsubishi halfway in between in Cypress. Though they no longer sell passenger cars in North America, Isuzu and Suzuki still operate their US bases in SoCal as well, in Anaheim and Brea, respectively – all municipalities located just south of Los Angeles. Nissan and Subaru also base their US operations outside of California, with head offices in Tennessee and New Jersey, respectively. Fiat 124 Abarth Spider spied, may get Alfa 4C power
Tue, Jul 14 2015We've long been excited to see, hear, and drive the car that results from the in-process Fiat-Mazda partnership. The Italian brand has had access to the excellent 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata on which to base its own roadster, and the fruits of that labor will soon ripen. Spied here is not only the ensuing Fiat 124, but a hotter Abarth tuned version of the spider. At least, that's what we're hoping. Our spy shooters indicated that the car seen here not only sounded more aggressive than 'standard' 124 mules seen previously, but that it also accelerated away from their long lenses with a smartness. The 124 Spider is already rumored to make use of the 1.4-liter turbo I4 that makes 160 horsepower in the Fiat 500 Abarth, and this version may have a still-more-powerful engine. Another tell about the added output are the quad tailpipes in place of the lesser car's set of two. There's no hard evidence to support exactly which engine might be under the 124's hood, however. It's possible that the 1.7-liter turbo from Alfa Romeo 4C could be in play – with its 237-hp output – as the 124 was originally going to wear an Alfa badge. If that were to happen, however, the Fiat would almost certainly get a dual-clutch transmission instead of the purer manual box. In any event, more details about the car will no doubt crop up closer to the expected reveal this fall. Related Video:
Mazda CEO says rotary not viable, so don't look for a new one
Tue, 19 Nov 2013We have some very sad news to report, rotor-heads fans: Don't expect a new rotary-powered vehicle anytime soon. This comes straight from Masamichi Kogai, the CEO of Mazda, which is the only company to ever market a commercially successful rotary-powered automobile in the world. The issue, as it has pretty much always been, is environmental.
While the Wankel rotary engine does indeed make a lot of power in a small, lightweight package, it does so while burning lots of fuel and emitting lots of noxious gases into the atmosphere, at least when running on gasoline. And that means the rotary engine will likely only ever be able to power niche vehicles. And that, in turn, means that it is very difficult to turn a profit on vehicles with rotary engines, particularly for a small automaker like Mazda.
"It has to be a viable commercial proposition. If we are going to adopt it, it has to be a product that can generate at least sales of 100,000 units a year. We have to be able to achieve a profit," said Kogai in an interview with Automotive News. Mazda sold 56,203 RX-7 models in the United States (the automaker's biggest market) in 1986. Sales of the RX-8 peaked in 2004, its first full year on the market, with just 23,690 units.
