2007 Miata with a Moss Supercharger, Hard Dog Roll Bar, Koni Adjustable Sport Shocks, Progress Tech Springs, Sway bars front and rear
Silver Grey – Black Leather, 6 speed, Bose stereo 6 CD changer w/ SAT and Media.   I think it is the Grand Touring
Salvage Title, it was hit on the left.
About 53,000 mi  – not a daily driver but being driven and always garaged.
It is not smogable in California.  It easily passes the sniffer test but the Moss supercharger kit is not CARB - Calif legal.
It is very fast but I want a dedicated autox car so I am building a new one and I need to sell this to pay for it.
The paint and interior are very good,  however there are a few small spots, dings and chips, it is a used car with 53k miles.

You can talk to Rocky @ Rock's Miatamotive in San Diego, he did the work and maintenance for the original owner including installing the supercharger. He checked the car before I bought it and has done all the work for me.  It is for sale on his website also.  Please call him only if you are very serious about buying the car,  he is self employed and his time is money.  thanks

The Moss Supercharger was installed at about 42k mi by Rocky for the previous owner.
It has about 215 hp and 170 ft lbs tq @ 5 psi,  at the flywheel.

It has Power Cards to adjust the timing and richen the fuel for the super charger.  They work ok but need to be checked regularly,  if they get out of adjustment the car will hesitate slightly under acceleration.
Brian Goodwin, Goodwin Racing who I autox with, says that another 20 hp could be gotten with an ECU reflash that would eliminate the Power cards and smooth the power band a bit.  He has the same supercharger on his race car and says it is very reliable,( Moss had a guarantee for 100k mi to the original owner ).

The supercharger kit cost about $ 2.500 and about $ 1000 to install, Rocky figured a way to keep the oil cooler, many have been installed with it bypassed.

I put Koni adjustable shocks, Progress Tech springs, Hotchkis Sport Sway Bar Set F & R and a Hard Dog M3 Sport Roll Bar and had the fenders rolled and pulled for the street and autox tires.

I autoxed it 3 times, it does very well it has plenty of power and can spin the Nito NT01's very easily in 1 st 2 nd and 3rd.  The handling is very neutral and it really goes.
Stuff replaced – power steering pump, left tie rod and end, metal supercharger intake gasket the old one was paper, new pre cat.

Street Tires and Wheels 7 x 17" MB  7 spoke wheels, silver w/ Hankook 235 x 50  Ventus V12
Autox tires and Wheels  255 x 40 ZR 17 Nito NT01 DOT slicks on 9 x 17" TR Motorsport wheels.
This car looks great rides beautifully and is a Very Fast high performance car, still very controllable and handles amazingly well, point it where you want it to go, it is there.
$ 14,500 obo

thanks  Happy bidding

2014 Mazda6: July/August 2013

Thu, 05 Sep 2013

Our newest long-termer - the Soul Red 2014 Mazda6 seen here - arrived in my driveway at the end of June. Without hesitation, I immediately put it to work as a daily driver, carpool bus and family vacation sled, and it accomplished all of those tasks with aplomb. Now, more than 4,000 miles down the road, I am left convinced that Mazda's latest midsize sedan is one of the best in its segment.
During the past 60 days, I have subjected the Mazda6 to scorching travel across Southwestern deserts, wheezing climbs over 8,000-foot-high Sierra Nevada mountain passes and basking in the cool ocean breezes of Malibu. It traveled with four passengers and a full load of luggage from Los Angeles to Lake Tahoe, and it braved the bumper-to-bumper freeway congestion on a weekday trip down to San Diego. It accomplished everything that was asked of while hardly skipping a beat - it has only required a regular sip of unleaded fuel to keep it moving forward.

Mazda CX-3 to be diesel-only in Japanese home market

Wed, Mar 4 2015

Diesel power. It's not just for Europeans anymore. In fact, when Mazda introduces its new CX-3 compact crossover to its home market of Japan, the model will be exclusively diesel-powered, Reuters says, citing remarks made by Mazda CEO Masamichi Kogai. Consistent with its recent push for better fuel economy, Mazda is embracing diesel power as a way to boost fuel-economy for cars that may be larger than the compact variety. Mazda, which plans to make about 150,000 gas- and diesel-powered CX-3s for global consumption per year, is pricing the diesel CX-3 at about $20,000 in Japan. Diesel sales accounted for less than three percent of new-vehicle sales in Japan last year, so there's a risk to Mazda's strategy. But the automaker, which is the fifth-largest in Japan, says performance and noise (and smoke) issues largely associated with diesel powertrains in the past have largely been eliminated. In all, Mazda expects worldwide sales for the year ending March 31 to rise almost five percent from a year earlier to about 1.4 million units. Mazda showed off an early version of the CX-3 at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November, though North American versions of the model will indeed be gas-powered. Question of the Day: What's the most irritating car name?

Wed, Mar 9 2016

You hear a lot about how the Chevrolet Nova was a sales flop in Mexico because "No va" means "it doesn't go" in Spanish; in fact, the Nova sold pretty well south of the border, and in any case most Spanish-speakers know that "Nova" means "new" in Latin and Portuguese. However, General Motors doesn't deserve to be let off the hook for bad car names, because the Oldsmobile Achieva— no doubt inspired by the excruciating "coffee achievers" ads of the 1980s— scrapes the biggest fingernails down the screechiest chalkboard in the US-market car-name world. That is, unless you think Daihatsu's incomprehensible choice of Charade was worse. Meanwhile, Japanese car buyers could get machines with cool names like Mazda Bongo Friendee or Honda Life Dunk. It's just not fair! So, what car name drives you the craziest? Related Video: Auto News Design/Style Chevrolet Honda Mazda Daihatsu Automotive History questions car names
