2006 Mazda Miata Mx-5 Limited 3rd Generation on 2040-cars
Springboro, Ohio, United States
I purchased this car two years ago, it has never seen snow, always
garaged, never used as a daily driver, and was in Florida until 2012.
Beautiful condition with many expensive extras. Wife says too many toys and this one has to go.
This is a collectible MX-5 that will retain its value when compared with non-limited edition cars. It also has the desirable, optional black leather interior. Runs and drives as new, except for the improved handling. . .and gets an honest 30 MPG! The paint is in excellent condition, with just a few typical, tiny paint chips on the nose. Interior shows virtually as new, with no notable wear on the seat bolsters, carpeting, etc. Includes factory manuals and both keys, original window sticker. I have the clear title, and the car is ready to drive anywhere. Car is located in Springboro, OH. Extras: • New Enkei PF01 17" Alloy wheels (perfect; not a scratch) with new Michelin PS2 235/40ZR-17 tires. Perfect fit with absolutely no rubbing. • Custom fitted CocoMats which match silver 3rd Generation Limited trim. • H&R coilovers and sway bars. Lowered to a height that looks fantastic, improves handling, yet rides great with no issues. Easily adjusted higher or lower if desired. • AEM cold air intake • Flyin Miata sport exhaust for a great sports car sound • HID (high intensity discharge) headlights • Hidden hitch for hitch mounted bike rack Standard equipment on the 3rd Generation Limited includes nearly every feature Mazda offered on the MX-5: • Velocity red mica special paint • 6 speed manual transmission • Limited slip differential • Leather interior (this has the optional black leather) • Keyless entry and power locks/windows • Power mirrors • Cruise control • Bose sound system with CD changer • Leather wrapped steering wheel • Tilt steering wheel • Steering wheel controls for audio system and cruise control • Air conditioning • Fog lights • Stainless steel door entry scuff plates • Numbered "3rd generation limited" badge • Silver/chrome trim throughout specific to 3rd generation limited cars Below is a write-up covering the 3rd Generation Limited: "As the range-topper, the MX-5 3rd Generation Limited's eye-catching color and unique features will surely turn heads and bring pure driving excitement to all who sit behind the wheel." Only 3,500 3rd Generation Limited cars will be available globally (just 750 in the US) -- each delineated by a numbered plate on the transmission tunnel -- ensuring they'll be in short supply and moving fast off of dealers' lots. The exclusive color for the MX-5 3rd Generation Limited is Velocity Red Mica. Front and rear bumpers feature the same distinctive red color, while the front bumper grille, A-pillar, outer door handle, head lamp bezel and foglamp cover all boast unique, silver trim. In addition, and to make the car stand out from a distance, the windshield frame is clad in silver trim. Between the Velocity Red Mica paint, dynamic 17-inch alloy wheels with exclusive silver finish and the exterior trim changes, onlookers and owners alike will recognize it as a truly exceptional -- and collectable -- vehicle. Inside, the MX-5 3rd Generation Limited includes a Sirius(R) satellite radio-compatible seven-speaker BOSE(R) AM/FM/CD stereo, stainless steel scuff plates and a numbered badge. In addition, exclusive red leather seats nicely match the exterior of the car and offer excellent support and an ideal driving position. Black leather seats are optional. |

Mazda ad showing Facebook updates while driving criticized by Senate committee [w/video]
Sat, 08 Feb 2014Senate Commerce Committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller, D-WV, held an all-day summit on Thursday to discuss the dangers of using modern technology while driving, during which an ad that Mazda aired during the Super Bowl was used as an example of the worrisome future towards which we're headed. While seemingly innocuous at first glance, the ad, which can be seen below, shows a brief glimpse of a driver using the Mazda Connect infotainment system in a Mazda3 to check/update his Facebook page while driving down the road.
Officials from major communications companies like Samsung, Google and Apple attended the summit, as well as representatives from automakers including General Motors and Toyota. A representative from Mazda was not present despite the company's own currently available technology being used as the poster child for the issues being discussed.
According to Automotive News, Senator Rockefeller warned the automaker and communication execs on hand that he will propose legislation to regulate the use of technology while driving if they don't work together to implement their own standards more quickly. Michael Robinson, GM's vice president of sustainability and global regulatory affairs, argued that his company has had distracted driving guidelines in place for 15 years since the advent of its OnStar system, noting that the technology in question has also helped the automaker save lives through automatic crash detection and calls to 911.
Editors' Picks February 2021 | Ford F-150, Genesis GV80, Mazda CX-30 and more
Wed, Mar 10 2021If we’ve driven and reviewed it, thereÂ’s an Autoblog Rating for it. ItÂ’s been over two years since we launched a new rating system to help you evaluate cars at a glance. We tweaked and improved it along the way and quickly arrived at a consistent process for giving each and every car on sale today a fair score. Cars that are exemplary or stand out in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. Every car we rate gets a score from 1 to 10, making it easy for you to tell if itÂ’s a car worth pursuing and possibly purchasing. YouÂ’ll find the scores of previously-rated cars attached toward the top of our written reviews. For example, the Bronco SportÂ’s rating can be found here. The Acura TLXÂ’s rating is in this post, and the Nissan RogueÂ’s rating is right here. There are hundreds of examples to be found. The above examples make up the most natural ways to find the Autoblog rating when researching for your next car, but starting today, weÂ’re going to begin calling out each new set of Editors' Picks per month in their own breakout stories. This will put the newest and most recently refreshed cars on sale on a pedestal for you to see which ones are worth your while. WeÂ’ll typically rate anywhere between 5-10 new cars per month, so you can count on just a select few from those to make this list. Expect to see this recurring ratings post each month going forward, and read on for FebruaryÂ’s EditorsÂ’ Picks.  2021 Genesis GV80 2021 Genesis GV80 View 18 Photos Quick take: The stylish GV80 offers useful safety features, compelling design and sporty dynamics to push it near the top of the segment. Genesis takes risks with this aggressive crossover, and the result is a luxurious vehicle that is rewarding to drive. Score: 8.5 What it competes with: Lincoln Aviator, Volvo XC90, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, Acura MDX, Lexus RX Pros: Beautiful design, good road manners, awesome value Cons: Small third row and cargo space, less comfortable standard suspension From the editors: Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore — “The GV80 is a hugely important vehicle for Genesis. It makes a style statement, has an elegant interior and is a compelling all-round execution. It looks like a Bentley, and I give Genesis props for taking some risks with the GV80 and largely pulling it all off.
Mazda rolls out unlimited mileage warranty in Canada
Fri, 14 Nov 2014Cold weather might be starting to grip parts of Canada, but our neighbors to the north are going to be able to drive their 2015 Mazda cars and utilities from Vancouver to Montreal with a little more peace of mind. That's because Mazda Canada is instituting an unlimited mileage warranty for its new models.
The updated plan starts with all 2015 model year vehicles (even those already sold), and the scheme simply removes that distance limit on everything but the emissions defect coverage. That means that the Mazdas have one year of service adjustments, three years of new vehicle coverage, five years on the powertrain, seven years against corrosion and three years of roadside assistance for as many kilometers as the owner drives.
The change removes at least one, tiny piece of anxiety about buying a new vehicle because it's easy to know when the coverage ends. "By offering our customers an Unlimited Mileage Warranty, we believe it will enhance their ownership experience by alleviating concerns such as kilometre limitations, repair costs and resale value," Kory Koreeda, president of Mazda Canada, in the automaker's announcement.
