VERY good condition with just over 20K miles.  Has Little Enchilada Kit from Flyin Miata with Bell Engineering computer reflash.  Adjustable boost with pillar mounted boost gauge. ECU set for 91 octane fuel, so I generally don't boost it over 10-12 lbs. Has a door ding on either door, no paint chipping. Car is garage kept and is a non-smoker's vehicle.  Runs fabulously.  Civil, fast, and extremely fun to drive.  Everything works exactly as it should, stereo, power antenna, gauges, etc.  Mazdaspeed only made this model two years, 04 and 05, with 05 being more rare (1,700).  I have owned an old 911 and a Boxster and this Miata is faster and more fun than either of my old Porsches. Mazda reliability and fuel mileage is a bonus.  Has fresh Royal Purple in Engine and 6-speed transmission.  Completely serviced, tuned and ready to drive anywhere.  I don't mind picking you up at XNA (NWA regional airport) but transportation and deliver are the buyer's responsibility.  Car is also listed elsewhere, so I reserve the right to end auction early. Please ask questions before bidding.   The Buy it Now Price is less than I have invested in this very nice vehicle.  I have WAY TOO MANY CARS AND MOTORCYCLES, and will be listing others soon.  Also, I am not interested in trades, because I HAVE WAY TOO MANY VEHICLES.  Thanks.  This is a great car.  If you should show up and feel that it is not what I have described, I will gladly refund your deposit.  Traveling is your risk, however.  It is a great car.  I have purchased several cars on e-bay and have found descriptions to be about 50% accurate.  I purchased this vehicle on e-bay and this is one I was and still am VERY pleased with.  I want to sell my home and I can't take 10 cars and motorcycles to a smaller home in town.  Thanks for looking.

Will Mazda sell diesel hybrids in Japan in 2016?

Thu, Aug 14 2014

Could the "Zoom Zoom" automaker start making hybrids that go "glug glug glug"? Mazda, known for its fuel-efficient Skyactiv engine line, will be the first Japanese automaker to make a diesel-hybrid vehicle for Japan and Europe. According to the Yomiuri Shimbun, Mazda may start making its oil-burning hybrids as soon as 2016, and the powertrain may reach fuel efficiency levels of as much as 95 miles per gallon (one the more lenient Japanese driving cycle). That'd make such a vehicle line about 30 percent more fuel-efficient than standard diesels and about eight percent more fuel efficient that the Toyota Prius C compact hybrid (known as the Aqua in Japan). Mazda has been dismissive of hybrid and electric powertrains, instead focusing on Skyactiv technology to maximize fuel efficiency from conventional gas-powered engines. Diesel powertrains account for about half of the light-duty vehicles sold in Europe each year, while Japan's diesel sales of 76,000 vehicles last year were about three times as many as were sold there in 2012. In January, Mazda said that it would delay the introduction of its Skyactiv-D diesel engine from what was to be a spring 2014 debut. The reason was to fine-tune the engine's performance/fuel economy balance. Mazda representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from AutoblogGreen about the diesel hybrids.

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata to be revealed on September 3 [w/video]

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

Now in its 25th year and on the market in its current form since 2005, the Mazda MX-5 Miata has been due for replacement for some time now. A mid-life facelift helped things along some in 2008, but the moment that roadster enthusiasts have been anxiously awaiting is almost upon us.
Mazda has now confirmed that the 2016 MX-5 will be officially unveiled on September 3 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca just ahead of the "Miatas at Mazda Raceway" event, where the Japanese automaker will also display "an array of heritage, concept and motorsports MX-5s," just as it did alongside the upcoming new roadster's Skyactiv chassis at the New York Auto Show.
Not to leave the European and Asian markets out of the fun, Mazda will simultaneously unveil the new Miata in Spain and Japan as well. But in the meantime you can view the teaser video and press release below to keep that excitement drummed up.

Why the 38-mpg 2014 Mazda6 is on dealer lots, but you can't drive it

Fri, 21 Dec 2012

If you stop by your local Mazda dealer this month, with any luck, you'll see the much-anticipated 2014 Mazda6 parked in the showroom - there are already a few hundred of them out there. That's quite an accomplishment in light of the fact that it isn't even calendar year 2013. The move is part of a strategic decision by the Japanese automaker, which is hoping to capitalize on holiday showroom traffic. (The last five days of the year are typically among the busiest dealer days all year).
If you happen to spy the rakish sedan, you may notice something missing - a window sticker. That's because Mazda (like other automakers) can't legally display the Monroney on a 2014 model year vehicle until January 1, 2013. According to Autoblog sources, Mazda dealers are legally prohibited from letting you test drive until the start of 2013, so it's more of a sneak preview than anything else. Even so, we reckon shoppers will be impressed when they finally get a look at those window stickers - Mazda hasn't announced fuel economy figures yet, but Autoblog has learned that the 2014 model will carry a pair of impressive numbers: EPA estimates of 27 miles per gallon in the city and 38 mpg on the highway using regular gas.
