2000 Mazda MX-5 Miata white manual transmission Here is my white 2000 Mazda MX-5 Miata with tan top and interior and only 90k miles I am the 2nd owner of
the vehicle and it has a clean Florida title. The car has been with me since
May 2010 and I am selling it to get a bigger car. Besides the parking brake not
working (I blame Tire Kingdom for that) and the cruise control is not working
either, everything else works fine. In terms of cosmetics, the rear bumper is
scraped on the right-rear corner, a dent on the right rear panel, the right
mirror has a scratch, the hood has a few paint chips and there are possibly 2
unavoidable door dings around the car. The car has never seen snow since the
first owner bought the car in San Diego, CA and moved out to Pompano Beach, FL;
and I have always had it in South Florida with the exception of a 2100 mile
trip to Southwest Texas during the summer of 2011 and it performed flawlessly. Since I have owned the vehicle I have done the following major maintenance to it: - 50,997 odometer reading - Valve cover gasket and spark
plugs - 59,567 odometer reading - New clutch - 69,647 odometer reading - Timing belt Oil changes have been done before the recommended 5,000 mile
intervals. I installed new all-season tires on 12/2012, and new front brakes on
1/2013. More pampering came early February 2013, with reupholstered seats and a
new vinyl top with glass window & rear defrosters. - 5 speed manual (PARKING BRAKE IS CURRENTLY NOT WORKING SO
I PARK IT IN 1ST GEAR) - air conditioning with front and rear defoggers - BOSE premium AM/FM/Cassette/CD 4 speaker stereo with power
antenna - power windows - power door locks - power mirrors - cruise control (NOT CURRENTLY WORKING) - tan leather seats - two-tone black/tan interior - Nardi Torino steering wheel - 15 inch alloy wheels PAYMENT: Deposit of US$300.00 via PayPal 48 hours of Auction Close. Fiat 124 caught entirely undisguised
Mon, Sep 28 2015Dear automakers, please continue making these kind of mistakes. Thanks to what we're guessing is some lax security, the all-new, Mazda MX-5 Miata-based Fiat 124 was spotted taking part in a photo shoot near Santa Barbara, CA. The images show what we'd consider a fairly simple rebadging job. The 124 gets new front and rear clips that not only harken back to the original 124 (not to mention other Fiat roadsters, like the Barchetta), but also serves to distance this droptop from the rest of the company's US range. The similarities between the 124 and the car it's based on are even more obvious in the cabin. This is an MX-5 interior with Fiat's big, red badge on the tiller. That means the same quality materials and knob-dial infotainment system that have been so well received in the Miata. It's under the hood, though, where the Fiat really differs from its Japanese cousin. According to our spy, the vehicle shown here features some kind of two-pedal setup – probably the six-speed Euro twin-clutch used in the 500L and Dodge Dart. Don't worry, though, a six-speed stick will also be on offer. Regardless of transmission, we can expect a 180-horsepower version of the 1.4-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder offered in the 500 Abarth. And if that's not enough good news, a dedicated Abarth model will likely arrive after launch, which our spies claim will use the 1.75-liter turbo and DCT from the Alfa Romeo 4C. While this represents a good look at the new 124, we'll probably be waiting until the LA Auto Show in November for the official look. Stay tuned.
2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata priced from $24,915
Mon, Mar 30 2015When Ford introduced the 2015 Mustang, it gave us 300 percent more car for about 10 percent more money. Mazda has done even better with the MX-5 Miata: the current roadster starts at $23,970 in Sport trim with a five-speed manual, the smaller, lighter, sharper 2016 model is just under $1,000 more, starting at $24,915 with a six-speed manual. Destination, unchanged, adds $820 to that MSRP. It is divided into the same three tiers of Sport, Club, and Grand Touring but the standard feature set grows, with the departure of that five-speed manual for six-speeders across the board, LED headlights, and extra infotainment functionality. Mazda says it will release more pricing in the future, but so far things just keep looking up for the one of the best little roadsters out there. The press release below has more. (March 30, 2015) – Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced that the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata will start at $24,9151 in entry-level Sport trim. Mazda has instilled the latest MX-5 with the pure driving experience that has won worldwide fanfare since the arrival of the first-generation MX-5 in 1989 as a 1990 model. Yet, the fourth-generation MX-5 provides Mazda's latest safety features and technologies and maintains an inflation-adjusted price close to that of the original roadster. The 2016 MX-5 launches this summer and will be available in Sport, Club and Grand Touring trim levels. "As we get closer to the MX-5's summer on-sale date, we're seeing a surge in interest and excitement from enthusiasts and journalists," said Jim O'Sullivan, president and CEO, MNAO. "Already, early MX-5 reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, and we expect the momentum that MX-5 has garnered to continue to build as drivers get behind the wheel of our fourth-generation sports car." Infused with SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY and KODO-Soul of Motion design, the 2016 MX-5 is smaller, lighter and more aggressive than its predecessor, with the base MX-5 Sport expected to outperform the sportiest previous road-going variants. However, even with its focus on delivering maximum driving enjoyment, the 2016 MX-5 boasts more creature comforts and a more functional interior than the vehicle it replaces.
2015 Mazda3 finally pairs 6-speed manual with larger engine
Mon, 15 Sep 2014With all of the hype and anticipation surrounding the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, the Japanese brand was able to sneak another driver-oriented model into its lineup. The company's spec page for the 2015 Mazda3 hatchback and sedan have been updated to list the Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder as finally being available with a six-speed manual transmission, in addition to the previous six-speed automatic. The automaker had promised the row-your-own gearbox with the bigger engine back when it first announced the new Mazda3, but it waited a model year to actually put the combo on sale.
According to Mazda's specs, the manual gearbox trims 40 pounds off of a hatchback or 54 pounds off of a sedan in s Touring and s Grand Touring trims. However, shedding that weight doesn't necessarily boost fuel economy. The six-speed hatch is rated at 26 miles per gallon city and 35 mpg highway, compared to 27/37 for the automatic. The manual sedan is rated at 25/37 city/highway mpg, versus 28/39 with the auto. Buyers can save a little money by opting for the manual, though. Regardless of body style, it's about $1,050 cheaper than the automatic.
Autoblog reached out to Mazda and learned that the 2.5L 6MT models started hitting dealers in August. The 2.5 wasn't initially available with the stick because, "We had to prioritize engineering resources and the 2.5L 6MT was not a high priority combination. Globally, smaller engines are preferred in terms of sales," a Mazda spokesperson explained via email. The automaker also notes that Austrailia will probably be the only other market outside of North America to get the six-speed gearbox with the larger engine.
