Englishtown, New Jersey, United States
GET READY TO HIT THE TRACK!!!
What you are looking at is a 1999 Mazda Miata convertible track car and she is ready for the tarmac! When I say track car, I mean it is a pretty basic car. I am currently only the second owner of the car. It has 95000 original miles on it and still going strong. It is a very reliable car. I let it sit for a few months in the garage and I just started it up about a week ago without any battery boost. It is super fun to drive and you are guaranteed to get some looks with it. It has the following upgrades: Alloy 15" track wheels and Toyo track tires Steel 16" street wheels and Velozza ZXV tires Free flow intake system Rear Spoiler Emergency Battery cutoff switch Racing Seats each with 5 point harness Hard Dog roll bar Emergency Fire Extinguisher Custom made center instrumentation dash Custom shift lever Diamond plated foot mat Aftermarket exhaust (loud) The rest of the car is pretty much stock but I am throwing in a bunch on aftermarket parts for it. I just don't have the time anymore to work on it. 1.8 Liter 4 Cylinder Motor 5 Speed Manual Trans Rear Wheel Drive In the case the vehicle does not meet reserve, I am always open to negotiation. No low-ball offers PLEASE! I want to sell it but I am not desperate! SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY! IF YOU HAVE A BID HISTORY OF LESS THAN 10, DON'T EVEN BOTHER TO BID! Keep in mind this is a track car but it can be driven on the streets as well. Thank you I require a $1000 deposit for the vehicle with 3 days of the auction ending via paypal. Again, if you have a very low bid history, don't bother to bid. Your bid will be rejected! These are my conditions. Please respect them. |

Mazda Miata could get retractable hardtop in New York
Fri, Mar 11 2016The upcoming New York Auto Show just got a little more exciting because Mazda could debut the latest MX-5 Miata with a power retractable hardtop there. The best evidence comes from Autocar, which has an image of Mazda's invitation. The message promises a "world premiere" in the Big Apple and further teases, "Help us blow the lid off the New York Auto Show." The last Miata PRHT made up 52 percent of the roadster's sales mix in the US, so creating another one is an easy decision for the company. According to Autocar, expect the new roof mechanism to be lighter and more compact than the previous design. It would still add some weight compared to the cloth top, but customers would get the added insulation and security from the hardtop. With the NC PRHT as a guide, don't expect many changes for the new other than the roof. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 155 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque with either the six-speed manual or automatic should still make for an exciting drive. The hardtop just makes life a little more comfortable if you have to deal with rain or snow for part of the year. We can't wait to see it. Related Video:

Mazda's new Mexican plant capacity rises to 230,000
Sat, 05 Jan 2013After the turmoil of last year, 2013 is getting off to a much better start for Mazda. The company has issued a release indicating that the forthcoming plant in Salamanca, Mexico has had its production capacity raised even though it isn't scheduled to go online until March 2014. The original plans called for a 140,000-unit capacity, 90,000 of that allotted for the Mazda2 and Mazda3, the remaining 50,000 for a small car Mazda would build for Toyota that would be based on the Mazda2. The new plans call for raising that by 90,000 units to a total of 230,000 units within two years, by the end of March 2016, and it looks like it will all go toward Mazda production to satisfy growing demand for Skyactiv vehciles. The Mexican plant's opening will be the return of Mazda manufacturing to North America, after Mazda6 production was moved back to Japan last year.
More good news for the company is that it projects 10 billion yen ($114 million) in net income for the financial year that will end in March. That would be a welcome turnaround from the 100-billion-yen loss in the previous financial year, part of a series of three annual losses in a four-year span.
You'll find the press release with the factory update below.
