Mileage – 150K miles on car. This averages
out to 13K a year for the 11 years I have owned the car. I would say it is about a 70/30 split between
highway and city driving…
Service – car was maintained with the recommended manufacture service schedule form local Mazda dealer, as well, the oil has been changed every 5K miles using new oil, not the re-manufactured crap you get Jiffy Lube. About this time last year, over $1500 was spent replacing the gaskets and seals on the engine, the spark plugs and wires/coils, throttle valve, front breaks, and some other miscellaneous maintenance.. The transmission oil has also recently been changed and was given a clean bill of health.. The brakes and suspension are in great shape with no flutter; however, I will say that a set of tires are on the horizon for the new owner and the car is price as such.. I would guess there is still 10K of meat left on them. Appearance and Body – considering it age it looks good and
is very clean.. There are a few parking
lot dings scrapes and bumps, etc.,, but nothing bigger that a dime.. This car has never been in an accident as verified by the Carfax report. All the lights are working with no cracks, all power windows and side
sliding remote doors work as they should, as with the power remote locks.. Also has a trailer hitch with a working
standard plug for the trailer lights..
This was added for a bike rack which is included. As for the extras… the only thing added to
this car was an iPod hook up right to the radio.. Outside of that it is a stock well taken care
of mini-van.
This car is mechanically sound and very tight, and I would not hesitate to drive this van coast to coast. |

Mazda begins building Mazda3 in Mexico for US
Tue, 07 Jan 2014With fluctuations in international currencies and rising shipping costs to take into account, foreign automakers can't get away with building cars overseas and selling them in North America as easily as they used to. Particularly with inexpensive mainstream models. And given the benefits of cheaper labor and free trade under NAFTA, many have opted to assemble their cars for the North American market in Mexico. That's why the likes of Toyota, Mercedes and BMW have all opened plants in Mexico. And now Mazda has followed suit.
Ground was initially broken for Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operations at Salamanca in the state of Gunajuato back in 2011, but production has just now gotten under way. The first vehicle to roll off the line? A Mazda3 sedan destined for the United States. Soon, the plant will begin production of the next Mazda2 as well, selling it alongside its larger counterpart across the Americas and in Europe as production expands to 230,000 units annually. For more information, see the official press release below.
2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata battles Toyota GT86 on track
Mon, Oct 5 2015It's got two doors and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine up front, driving the rear wheels. It's made in Japan, and as far as bang-for-your-buck goes, it's a downright bargain. So which are we talking about, the Mazda MX-5 Miata, or the Toyobaru coupe known alternately as the Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, or Toyota GT-86? The answer is "yes," and it just goes to show, roofs notwithstanding, how close these two vehicles really are to one another. Which one is your favorite may come down to a matter of personal taste, but for its latest video, Auto Express set out to find out which laps faster around the track. On paper at least, the Toyota's 200 horsepower will trump the Mazda's 155 any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Then again, the Miata does weigh a good 400 pounds less, even with the 2.0-liter engine and despite its convertible bodystyle – but is that enough to make up the difference? You're going to have to just watch the video for yourself to find out. All we'll tell you is that the match is pretty darn close – what you might call a photo finish, if they were actually racing each other at the same time as opposed to each racing the clock separately. So watch the video above and voice your support for your favorite little Japanese sports car in the Comments section. Related Video:
Mazda6 Skyactiv-D Racecar ready to bring diesel to Grand-Am
Tue, 15 Jan 2013It may not be quite as radical as some of the company's past rotary racers, but the new Mazda6 Skyactiv-D racecar does have a notable powertrain underhood: the automaker's brand-new clean diesel four-cylinder engine.
Three of these new diesel-powered Mazda6 racers will take to the track in the Grand-Am GX class of the upcoming 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona on January 26, with five drivers on each team. The car you see above, number 70, is sponsored by Mazda's longtime motorsports partner, SpeedSource.
