I need the potential buyer to please read very, very carefully before you commit to place your bid. This van was purchased 04/07/2014 through www.iaai.com auction, I had all the intention in the world to get it fixed and keep it as a family car but my budget is very tight...I simply won't be able to get it fixed....I want to break even in this deal or lose less than what I would if I keep it. Vehicle was cleaned inside and out, the van started and ran at the auction but it hasn't started since. It needs some work with engine or a new engine. A friend of mine who is a mechanic went by my house and gave me his diagnosis HERE IT IS...THE RADIATOR HAS A CRACK AND ALL THE FLUID IS GONE, THIS CAUSED THE ENGINE TO OVER HEAT AND BLEW THE HEAD GASKETS, (CAR WAS RAN WITHOUT RADIATOR FLUID) THE ENGINE HAS A DETONATION AND IS SETTING A CODE FOR THE KNOCK SENSOR... WINDSHIELD WIPERS WATER RESERVOIR AND RADIATOR ALSO NEED TO BE REPLACED..THAT'S ALL I WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC. I was advised to invest about $2000 in parts and labor to get it up and running, NO WAY IN HELL...I'm already in for $3500 as it is with all paperwork fees, parts and transportation from New Jersey...MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN IF YOU ARE A MECHANIC, HANDY WITH CARS OR SIMPLY NEED IT FOR PARTS....As you can see it would need new front bumper cover unless this one could be repaired. Mazda Miata could get retractable hardtop in New York

The upcoming New York Auto Show just got a little more exciting because Mazda could debut the latest MX-5 Miata with a power retractable hardtop there. The best evidence comes from Autocar, which has an image of Mazda's invitation. The message promises a "world premiere" in the Big Apple and further teases, "Help us blow the lid off the New York Auto Show." The last Miata PRHT made up 52 percent of the roadster's sales mix in the US, so creating another one is an easy decision for the company. According to Autocar, expect the new roof mechanism to be lighter and more compact than the previous design. It would still add some weight compared to the cloth top, but customers would get the added insulation and security from the hardtop. With the NC PRHT as a guide, don't expect many changes for the new other than the roof. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 155 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque with either the six-speed manual or automatic should still make for an exciting drive. The hardtop just makes life a little more comfortable if you have to deal with rain or snow for part of the year. We can't wait to see it. Related Video:

Mazda and Isuzu to collaborate on a new pickup truck

After decades, Mazda has finally untangled itself from its relationship with Ford. The last vestige of that partnership is the BT-50, a rebadged version of the global Ford Ranger pickup truck. Once the BT-50 ends production, Mazda has announced that it will collaborate with Isuzu to develop its next generation of pickup trucks. The BT-50 was co-developed with Ford's Australian division. In their current iteration, the BT-50 and its Ranger twin were never on sale in the United States. Mazda's last pickup in the US was the B-Series, itself also a rebadged version of the old Ford Ranger. Isuzu pulled out of the US passenger vehicle market in 2009, although it still sells commercial vehicles here. Isuzu, continuing a long and complicated relationship with General Motors, co-developed the diesel engine that currently powers the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. In select markets, Isuzu sells a rebadged version of the Colorado as the D-Max. Details on the Mazda/Isuzu tie-up are scarce. A single press release simply says "Isuzu will produce next-generation pickup trucks for Mazda, based on Isuzu's pick-up truck model." This isn't the first truck collaboration between the two companies. Since 2004, Mazda has sold the Titan, a rebadged version of the Isuzu Elf commercial truck. The Elf is sold in the US as the Isuzu N-Series. Those in the US hoping for a new competitor in the midsize-truck segment shouldn't get their hopes up for the new truck. There are currently no plans to bring them here. There is hope, though, that Ford will bring the Ranger replacement stateside sometime in the next few years. Miata driver pulls off hilariously diabolical move in fender-to-fender racing

Racing is all about finding the little advantages over competitors that allow you to get ahead. Sometimes those are legitimate means - like being able to take advantage of a better line through a corner - and other times drivers get a little more creative for a leg up over opponents. Sometimes things might even go a little too far. Case in point: just watch the opening of this Mazda MX-5 Cup race from Silverstone in the UK.
According to the YouTube description, we're riding with James Rogers in this video, and he appears to be pretty talented behind the wheel. Rogers has a great start from fifth that has him in third within just a few corners. He starts stalking the top two drivers, who are already having a fantastic race themselves, but then we see that the person in second is clearly willing to do whatever it takes to win. Just watch the video, and you'll see what we mean. Bravo (?) to that racer for some very quick, albeit fiendish, thinking.
