2000 Mazda Mpv Lx 2.5l- Clean, Selling For Parts/repair- No Reserve on 2040-cars
Jackson, Missouri, United States
SELLING THE VAN FOR PARTS OR REPAIR- or, if you want a project for a decent second car.... Good clean van that I inherited
from my grandfather last summer. He didn't put many miles on it, as
he used it only to run to the grocery store, doctor and pharmacy. I put
about 20K highway miles on it since June. The water pump went out,
due to a leak from a small crack in the head about two weeks ago. It
still runs, and does ok on short trips (in the cold). The interior is
clean, with 2 captains chairs for second row seating, and a third row bench
(all in great shape). All panels & doors are straight. The
windshield is cracked (from a "star break" expanding in the cold
weather). The van will start and run. There is also a small exhaust
leak. 'Hate to see it go, as I was with my grandpa when he bought
it several years ago from a friend of mine (dealer). It had been a
good car for him, and for me. However, it's time for it to find
a new home-- or, help breathe life back into another MPV. I am selling
this van "for parts" and make no warranty/guarantee other than
that. If you want to fix these things- I personally think it would be a
good, clean car. However, I am not a mechanic and don't claim to be
one. Please email me with questions before end of auction/sale. I value
my 100% feedback rating and sell honestly. $300 deposit is required at
commitment to buy/end of listing, with balance due upon pickup of van. It must
be picked up within 10 days unless other arrangements are made. Paypal/cash
only. |

Fiat reconsidering Mazda-based Alfa Romeo roadster? [w/poll]
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Alfa giveth and Alfa taketh away. With apologies to Job (he has gone through a lot, after all), that's how things are looking at the Italian automaker - whether it's the promise of new products or its impending return to the North American market. But it's especially true when it comes to new roadsters.
While Alfa Romeo is expected to unveil the 4C Spider at the Geneva Motor Show this week, reports are now suggesting that its other roadster project is being called into question. That project is a joint venture between Fiat and Mazda, which was set to produce a version of its next MX-5 Miata as an Alfa Romeo, and was even changing the design to accommodate Alfa's requirements.
Now it appears, however, that the whole project in doubt. The problem seems to stem from Sergio Marchionne's pronouncements that, as long as he's in charge, there won't be an Alfa Romeo built outside of Italy.
Reminder: Come hang out with Autoblog and the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata on Tuesday, May 19
Fri, May 15 2015Do you love chilidogs, French fries, meeting new friends, and the world's most popular convertible? Do you live in Southeast Michigan? Do you like lists of questions? If you answered "yes" to any but the last of those, we'd like to invite you to a little get-together we're hosting next week. Driving impressions are still under embargo for the US-spec 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata, but somehow we've conned convinced company PR reps to show the car to you, Joe Public Autoblog Reader. We're enthused about telling you more about the ND Miata, but before we do we'd love to share a Coke and talk about cars. Here's the skinny. A group of Autobloggers will be hanging out at the Athens Coney Island, in Royal Oak, MI, next Tuesday, May 19. We'll have the car on display from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and we'd love to see you. If you're a Miata owner, we'd also love to for you to bring your car along for the party. The more convertibles the better (just be prepared to have your picture taken). Go ahead and set your navi for Athens – 32657 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak, MI 48073 – and we'll look forward to seeing you Tuesday. Mazda Geeks unite. Related Video:
Mazda sells 10 millionth car in the US, does something special
Wed, 23 Oct 2013When Lauren Carter of Glen Ellyn, IL was in the market for her first car, she went for a Mazda3. Not a bad choice, but not necessarily remarkable on the surface. After all, Mazda sold 123,361 of them here last year alone. What she didn't know was that the car she bought was the 10 millionth Mazda had sold in the US over the course of its 43-year history here, since selling its first rotary-powered R100 here in 1970.
Rather than let the occasion pass with nothing more than a press release (like the one below), Mazda gave Lauren a brand-new 2014 Mazda3 to replace the 2013 model she had bought. Which is a nice gesture, of course, but also enables Mazda to hold on to the landmark 10,000,000th car in its heritage collection.
