The time has come to part with my Mazda 6 unfortunately. It has 83xxx miles, is a 6 cylinder 3.0L automatic and runs like it's brand new. Never had any issues or accidents and was always garage kept and properly maintained. Modifications I had made are:

- Magnaflow Catback Dual Exhaust

- MSDS Shorty Headers

- Injen Cold Air Intake

- Carbon Creations Carbon Fiber Hood and Wing (I can remove the wing or hood if so desired, I understand some people aren't a fan of them. I also have the original hood stored and wrapped if that is preferred)

- 18" ABS Rims and tuner lugs

- JVC aftermarket dashboard

- JVC aftermarket head unit

- 10" Kenwood Sub and required amplifier

- Cap 3.5B Power Capacitor.

The CEL is on but not because of any mechanical problems. The upgraded exhaust and headers allow for more flow through the vehicle and the stock o2 sensors are not tuned to the new exhaust flow. I have ordered the new o2 sensors that will resolve the CEL. Again there are NO problems with the engine.

Stock features are incredibly nice. Normal wear on vehicle but very good condition for the age of the car. Tan Leather upholstery, power steering, power windows, bose speakers, sun roof, heating and a/c work perfectly. This car is a ton of fun to drive and will not let its next owner down. 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata firsthand impressions and notebook scribblings

In a temporarily repurposed airport hanger in Monterey, CA, the world caught its first glimpse of the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata tonight, and I was fortunate enough to attend in person along with my fellow auto media colleagues, Mazda execs, a couple hundred Miata devotees and, oddly, a fair number of Duran Duran fans. The klieg lights have dimmed, Simon Le Bon is no longer ringing in my ears, and I'm left to ponder what I've seen. I've scavenged my notes - and my Twitter feed - to give you some details and brief thoughts.
Fair Warning: I can't claim to be completely impartial (I own a second-generation NB and consider the Miata franchise to be one of but a few sacrosanct franchises in modern motoring), but I will share my honest first impressions of the new car, both good and bad.

Mazda leads Consumer Reports' latest Brand Report Card Rankings

The latest automaker brand report cards from Consumer Reports are in, and there are quite a few changes for 2021. At the very top of the charts sits Mazda, up three spots over last year, followed by BMW and Subaru to round out the top three. It's interesting to note that mainstream brands (non-luxury in CR-speak) don't seem to be at a disadvantage in CR's rankings, with five of the top 10 spots. In addition to Mazda in first and Subaru in third, Honda, Toyota, Chrysler, and Buick were the other high-ranking non-luxury marques. The ratings are derived from "a combination of predicted reliability, and owner satisfaction based on member surveys, and CR’s hands-on analysis" and also includes safety features and crash test scores.Â At the very bottom of the list sit Mitsubishi, Land Rover and Alfa Romeo. "Our brand rankings don't just look at how models perform on our test track, but the broad picture of vehicle quality," said Jake Fisher, Senior Director of Automotive Testing at Consumer Reports. "Fortunately, consumers will find they have many options that are safe, enjoyable, and reasonably priced." The biggest jumps in the brand report card rankings come from Chrysler, Buick and Honda, which each moved up five spots compared to last year's rankings. The news wasn't nearly as good for Lincoln, which fell an alarming 15 spots this year, Genesis, which fell 13 spots, or Kia, which fell 10 spots. Related Video:
