2009 Mazdaspeed 3 Gt. Clean, Maintained, 100% Stock, Adult Owned on 2040-cars
Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States
For sale here is a 2009 MazdaSpeed 3 Grand Touring. We really hate to sell the car but we are getting something bigger like a mid size suv. We are the second owner, clear clean title and carfax report. The car currently has 52000 miles on it and needs absolutely nothing. The paint is in flawless condition throughout, no dents anywhere. There is a small scratch that is on the front lip but it is on the underside and is not even noticeable and that is the ONLY place. Oil and filter changed with Mobil 1 5w-30 and Mobil 1 filter. I installed new spark plugs (NGK ILTR6A-8G gap .032"), a new oem gas cap, and a new oem purge valve in August. In October I had 15% tint put on the windows. There was a nationwide recall on the wiper motor ground wire that a certified Mazda dealership fixed in August. The tires have at minimum 80% + tread life left, way above the wear bar. The brakes as well have 80% + life left. Just put new wiper blades on as well.
I usually wash the car once a week inside and out depending on weather. It's been very very well taken care of. NEVER raced or beat on. There are no performance modifications on the car, 100% stock in that regard. Everything mechanically and electrically works perfectly on the car, 0 issues. It has the upgraded interior which comes with the Grand Touring package. - High gloss Piano black dash trim - Bose 7 speaker system with subwoofer under the seat. - 6 disc changer with aux input for iPod etc - Satellite radio - Auto heating and air - Upgraded seats and doors panels are a material that is unique only to the GT package. Made from Alacantra and leather with red stitching. They look awesome! Feel free to text, call or e-mail with any questions. This is a daily driver so mileage will change 864-640-3029 $15,995 OBO Sorry for the dark pictures, gets dark so fast after work. I'll retake when its lighter out |

2015 Mazda2 spotted in Japanese magazine
Tue, 16 Jul 2013The styling changes at Mazda are proceeding at a fairly quick tempo. The CX-5 was unveiled, followed by a refreshed CX-9, the excellent Mazda6, and most recently a new Mazda3. This all happened over the course of less than two years, which in the auto industry is like a long week.
Now the Mazda2 is getting its revamp. Thanks to a magazine scan from Japan, we now have our first look at the new sub-compact, called the Demio, in its home market. Mazda's familial front end has been fitted, and it doesn't look quite as suited to the smaller car. Lacking the long-hood look of the Mazda3 and Mazda6, the new styling looks overly rounded, almost bulbous from our angle. It's still attractive, but the shape is kind of off-putting compared to the chiseled faces of the 2's big brothers. We'll concede that the folded magazine page may have something to do with it, however.
The next-generation 2 should adhere to Mazda's Skyactiv philosophy, which means we can expect a highly efficient four-cylinder engine, although it's impossible to say if Mazda will do away with its smallest offering's one-engine strategy. Considering the Mazda2 will be riding on a shortened version of the CX-5's platform, we'd expect some degree of mechanical parts sharing, regardless of how much the larger platform needs trimmed. Perhaps a detuned version of the 2.0-liter, Skyactiv four-cylinder could be under the 2's hood?
Why we can't have better headlights here in the U.S.
Tue, Mar 13 2018It wouldn't be a European auto show if we weren't teased with at least one mainstream vehicle we can't have here. At the Geneva Motor Show last week, the small but vocal contingent of shooting-brake buffs lamented that the Mazda6 wagon won't be coming to our shores, although they can take comfort in the fact that the vehicle won't get the torquey 250-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine we'll get here. Mercedes-Benz also announced a new headlight technology in Geneva that likely won't be available here anytime soon. It's just the latest in a long line of innovative and potentially lifesaving front-lighting solutions that the federal government doesn't allow in this country due to outdated standards — and a current lack of leadership at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Mercedes-Benz's new Digital Light system that debuted in Geneva uses a computer chip to activate more than a million micro-reflectors to better illuminate the road ahead. The Digital Light headlamps works with the vehicle's cameras, sensors and navigation mapping to adjust lighting for the given location and situation and to detect other road users. The Digital Light technology also serves as an extended head-up display of sorts by projecting symbols on the pavement ahead to alert drivers to, say, slippery conditions or pedestrians in the road. And it can even project lines on the road in a construction zone or through tight curves to show the driver the correct path. Digital Light will be available on Mercedes-Maybach vehicles later this year, although like any technology it's bound to trickle down to less expensive vehicles. That is, if we ever get it here in the U.S. Audi, a leader in automotive lighting, has repeatedly run into snags trying to bring state-of-the-art car headlights to the U.S. The German luxury automaker's recently introduced matrix laser headlight system, which performs many of the same trick as Mercedes-Benz's Digital Light, also isn't legal on U.S. roads. And five years after the introduction of its matrix-beam LED lighting, which illuminates more of the road without blinding oncoming motorists with brights by simultaneously operating high and low beams, Audi still can't bring that technology to the U.S. either.
Mazda CX-3 details come to light
Sun, 09 Dec 2012Mazda may be working on a new CUV, according to Auto Express. Reportedly called the CX-3, the small crossover will be engineered to take on the likes of the Ford EcoSport and Nissan Juke, but with a focus on fuel efficiency and engaging driving characteristics.
The report names no sources, but says the CX-3 will benefit from a new small-displacement diesel engine. The 1.6-liter oil burner will be joined by a 1.3-liter gasoline engine when the vehicle debuts in 2014. Auto Express reports the model may bow as a front-wheel drive offering only, with no all-wheel-drive option.
And what will it look like? Word has it Mazda will continue to leverage the face we've seen on the current CX-5 (pictured). That means the company's shield grille will make the jump, but with more plastic lower body cladding. Inside, Auto Express says the CX-3 will offer buyers fold-flat rear seating for extra cargo capacity.
