You'll be bidding on this Mazda3, which is a very fun and economical car to own. This car has been an absolute blast to have for the past 4 years!  I've loved the sportiness and zip that this little car has brought; and it's consistently gotten between 25-30 mpg in normal driving conditions.  It has been a 2 owner vehicle and has been very well taken care of. I have changed the oil with only Castrol Synthetic for the past 4 years to ensure a top performing engine with long life. The engine definitely still has the "zoom-zoom" in it, with well maintained components. The car has been garaged and the paint is still beautifully crisp and glitters like new. The 60/40 split rear seats and hatchback provide a HUGE area for cargo hauling.

Model Options:
  • Power Tilting and Sliding Sunroof
  • Rear Spoiler
  • OEM Side Skirts and Rear Skirt
  • 6 Disc CD Changer Audio System
  • 4-Wheel Anti-lock Disc Brakes
  • 4-Speed "Sport Shift" Automatic Transmission
  • 17" Alloy Wheels
  • Remote Keyless Entry
  • Rear Window Defroster and Wiper
  • Steering Wheel Controls

Recent Upgrades:
  • Premium Sound System: Rockford Fosgate p152-s 5 1/4" Component Speaker & separate Tweeter set (front); Rockford Fosgate p1572 6"x8" speakers (rear); Rockford Fosgate "Punch" amplifier: pbr 300x4; "HushMat" sound-deadening adhesives
  • Professionally Tinted Windows (legal limits in Ohio= 50% front windows, 5% rear windows)
  • - New brake pads and rotors for all 4 wheels
  • - Replaced both front axles and some suspension components in the past 12 months
  • - 4 New Hankook Ventus V12 Evo, 205/50R-17 tires (see tread in picture)

You'll get the original documents of the car, along with the dealership promo-book, original window sticker, and key with remote.  While this car is in great shape, there are a few things I want to disclose to anyone looking at the car: The front driver headlight has stress cracks but this doesn't impair function (see picture).  The car has a couple of dings in it (hood, side door) that are shown in the pictures.  The air conditioning could probably be recharged for optimum coldness.  Please feel free to message me with any questions and good luck bidding!

Mazda CX-30 'just right' crossover will head from Geneva into production

Tue, Mar 5 2019

As more and more customers move into the crossover segment, the less the segment is one-size-fits-all, or even three-sizes-fit-all. As such, Mazda has taken the opportunity at the Geneva Motor Show to offer a new, "just right" crossover to its lineup. The 2019 Mazda CX-30, as it's called, slots between the diminutive CX-3 and the compact CX-5 crossovers. The CX-30 shares the "Kodo" (meaning "soul of motion") design language Mazda does so well, and the execution here is excellent, too. We love the long hood and simple but elegant curves, the way the light reflects off the sides in dramatic waves. Its no surprise that Mazda chose its Soul Red Crystal to show off the new model. Mazda says it had four goals for the CX-30, two of which had to do with the size of the vehicle. It needed to be small enough to be highly maneuverable, so that drivers wouldn't hesitate to take it anywhere they need to go, but it also had to be roomy enough to provide a comfortable space for multiple passengers to easily enjoy one another's company. Mazda wanted the design to "embody the joy of owning something that matches your sensibilities." Finally, it had to perform in a way to provide peace of mind and a relaxing driving experience. Mazda will offer the CX-30 with its Skyactiv-G 2.0 gasoline engine with cylinder deactivation, Skyactiv-D 1.8 diesel engine and its new Skyactiv-X engine with gasoline compression ignition. Both gasoline engines will use Mazda's mild hybrid technology to help improve fuel economy without sacrificing performance. The CX-30 will also be offered with Mazda's I-Activ all-wheel drive and G-Vectoring Control Plus for maximum grip and stability. It will be available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The CX-30 is equipped with a driver monitoring system to improve safety using an infrared LED and camera to watch the driver's face for signs of drowsiness or inattentiveness. It'll alert the driver to pay attention, and will sound the braking alert earlier. Other active safety systems include available Front Cross Traffic Alert and Cruising & Traffic Support, the latter of which will employ accelerator, brake pedal and steering operations in traffic jams to help avert driver fatigue. Mazda hasn't said whether it will offer the CX-30 outside of the European market. Related Video:

Mazda Miata celebrates 25 years of rocking our worlds

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

For its birthday it hasn't been profiled on 60 Minutes or been to Jay Leno's Garage, doesn't go on a retrospective tour of vintage racetracks or get a special Spyder Zagato edition. That doesn't mean we think any less of the Mazda MX-5 Miata, the roadster with a simplicity that was as enjoyable as it was barely believable when it arrived in 1989. A quarter of a century and three generations later, the Miata remains the go-to roadster when you want easy, balanced and economical thrills.
It grew from a 116-horsepower speedster with a five-speed manual transmission and a curb weight of 2,116 pounds, to a 167-hp go-kart with a five-speed manual coming in at 2,480 pounds (in Sport guise). Along the way it's picked up hundreds of awards, including 14 nods on Car and Driver's "10Best" list, its most recent eight-year streak coming to an end last year, the Guinness Book of World Records title as "Best-Selling Two-Seater Sports Car" and innumerable trophies as weekend racer extraordinaire.
We'll see the fourth generation at next year's Chicago Auto Show, and we're certain to hear more about its 25-year milestone this year. Until that happens, enjoy the images above and the gallery and press release below.

Mazda could electrify the next Miata, is trying to figure out how

Mon, Dec 2 2019

The next Mazda Miata is at the embryonic stage of development. The men and women in charge of the project are debating whether to electrify the roadster, or if it's better to keep it true to its roots. The Miata is not a high-volume model in any market, so it doesn't need a plug to help Mazda comply with looming emissions regulations. The company explained it's not a matter of compliance; it's about how the definition of a sports car and the expectations of motorists could change in the 2020s. "The preferences of people who enjoy driving sports cars might be changing, so we need to think about what direction society is going in. We want to look at the best powertrain to keep the vehicle lightweight, but because of the diversifying requirements and preferences, we need to explore various options," Ikuo Maeda, Mazda's global design director, in an interview with Autocar. Adding any degree of electrification to the Miata beyond a relatively basic mild-hybrid system is easier said than done. An unusually low weight and a compact footprint defined the original model introduced in 1989, and these attributes continue to characterize the fourth-generation car (pictured) sold in 2019. Electrification requires batteries, batteries add weight and require space, and Mazda doesn't want to end up with a 3,000-pound Miata, or one that's the size of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class Convertible. Keeping its chassis balanced is a delicate task, too. Overcoming this challenge is not impossible, however, and batteries are expected to become lighter and smaller during the 2020s. The next-generation Miata isn't expected out until the middle of the 2020s, so Mazda has time to figure out whether it should go hybrid, arrive as an electric car, or carry on with a rev-happy, naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine. Maeda stressed a final decision on the matter hasn't been made yet. "I don't have the answer right now, but we need to make a vehicle that people can own without worrying that they are not being eco-friendly," he concluded.
