Up for auction at NO RESERVE is a 1999 Mazda B2500. The mechanical twin to the Ford Ranger.
2.5 Liter 4 cylinder, 5-speed Manual transmission, rear wheel drive. 83,xxx well maintained miles. This truck runs and drives great! The exterior is pearl white in color, with a gray cloth interior. The body is clean and straight. No visible rust. Has a couple small dings, with the worst being on the tailgate. The pictures represent the truck very well. There is a black vinyl cover over the bed. It has a couple small tears in it, but is still very serviceable. The truck also has a sprayed-in bed liner. The interior is clean also. Gray cloth seats with a rubber floor. Manual windows and locks. Aftermarket CD player in the dash. Chrome wheels with newer Firestone all-season tires. The wheels are Ford Ranger wheels. I installed them to upgrade from 14" to 15" wheels. The tires have around 90% tread left. The brakes are newer as well. The front pads and rotors were replaced around 6 months ago, the rear brake shoes were replaced about a year ago. There are no known issues with the truck. It starts, runs, drives, shifts, turns, and stops exactly as it should. I personally would trust it to drive cross-country with no problems. It is currently being used as daily transportation. The only reason I'm selling it is because I need something that can seat 4 people. The truck is available for inspections and test drives from now until the end of the auction. If you would like to check it out in person before bidding, contact me through ebay and we'll set something up. I am available in the evenings through the week and any time during the weekend. Shipping is not being offered on this vehicle. If you need to have the vehicle shipped, please arrange it with your shipper. I am willing to assist in any way possible, but I WILL NOT be responsible for any damages incurred during shipment. As stated earlier, this vehicle is being offered at NO RESERVE. The winning bidder gets to drive it home. Winning bidder is to contact me within 24 hours of the end of the auction. There is a $200 deposit due within 24 hours of the end of the auction via PAYPAL. The remainder of the winning bid is to be paid in CASH at the time of vehicle pickup. Vehicle pickup is to be no later than 7 days after the end of the auction. Please, if you are not willing or able to meet any or all of these terms, don't waste your time or mine by bidding. Thanks for looking, and Happy Bidding! |

Mazda CX-5 getting mild refresh
Thu, 14 Aug 2014Mazda has found both critical and commercial success with its CX-5 small crossover, and seems to be endeavoring to keep the momentum up with an upcoming refresh. As you can extrapolate from the obvious lack of the usual camouflage, the company isn't reinventing anything in the very near future of the CX-5, but it does seem as thought some tweaks are in the works.
Lighting elements fore and aft appear to have gone under the knife, with the front grille and rear fascia also seemingly to be slightly revised. The side mirrors now look slicker and slightly more upscale with their integrated turn signals, as well.
In all, expect a look that's a touch fresher, without being a radical departure from the existing visage.
Next Mazda MX-5 Miata to weigh a ton(ne), literally
Wed, 27 Nov 2013Looking at recent spy shots of the fourth-generation Mazda Miata, it's obvious this sporty little roadster will grow in size compared to the current model, but it's also going on a diet. At the Tokyo Motor Show, Auto Motor und Sport sat down with Mazda executive Kiyoshi Fujiwara, who gave a little more insight into the Miata's redesign.
Fujiwara said that they're aiming for a curb weight of a tonne (metric ton), which is 1,000 kilograms or right around 2,200 pounds, for the next-generation Miata. This would make the roadster at least 300 pounds lighter than the current NC Miata, but still about 200 pounds heavier than the original NA.
There is no indication as to how Mazda will go about removing that much weight from the bigger car, but with as popular as the power retractable hard top (PHRT) model is on the current car, the new Miata may ditch this feature to lose its weight. Improving the power-to-weight ratio appears to be a key goal of the Mazda team, so we also wouldn't be surprised to see a more powerful engine underneath the longer hood.
Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time
Thu, Feb 26 2015If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer – there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer – specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery – while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. – Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.
