Selling car due to daughter losing her driving privileges. The book value for this car in very good condition is around 7,400 and in fair condition it says $6,500 so my by it now price seems to be a good price. It runs and drives good and shifts good. It is an automatic and also has ability to manually change gears using paddle shifters on steering or using the stick shift. Non smoker and no pets ever in the car. Doesn't leak oil from what I observed and no oil in driveway. Below I will post a description of manufacturer description. This is a 2005 Shinka edition and the color is black cherry. Overall for the year of the car it is in very good shape. The paint has no peeling or fading just normal wear and tear (except for what I listed in defects. The passenger rear has scratches when I pulled out o garage and its not bad at all) but nothing that stands out. Carpets and interior are in great shape. Total production run of 2150 RX-8's. The some of the features of the special edition include the Black Cherry Exterior, bright-chrome head and tail light fixtures. On the inside, parchment leather seats and more use of piano black accents provide a look and feel of luxury. Looks aren't all that changed on this RX-8, however. The pre-order books open at 12:00 PM Eastern for the very special Launch Edition, which is limited to just 1,000 units. All of the MX-5 Miata Launch Edition cars come painted in Soul Red with a Sport Tan leather interior, an exclusive combination for this special run. Buyers only need to choose between the six-speed manual transmission (the obvious choice), or a six-speed automatic. Pricing is set at $30,495 if you want the stick-shift, and $31,570 if you prefer the auto. So, want one? Of course you do. Head over to Mazda's pre-order site and place a $500 deposit toward the purchase of your car. Better act fast, though. When Mazda offered its 25th Anniversary MX-5 Miata via pre-order, all 100 of those cars sold out in just ten minutes.
Mazda to celebrate 25 years of MX-5 with 15 Miatas in New York
Thu, 20 Mar 2014Having first debuted at the Chicago Auto Show in 1989, the Mazda MX-5 Miata has been on the market now for an impressive 25 years. So to celebrate that quarter-century anniversary, Mazda is bringing no less than 15 examples of the legendary roadster from throughout its history to the New York Auto Show this year.
Mazda isn't saying just which versions of the MX-5 it's bringing to the Javitz center this year, but with three generations to choose from and over 900,000 units built and sold, there are plenty of examples - including production versions, special editions and concept cars.
What would really put the cherry on this birthday cake, however, would be if Mazda were to surprise us in Manhattan with the debut of the highly anticipated fourth-generation Miata that we're expecting to debut sometime this year.
The Mazda MX-5 Miata RF's trick roof will cost you at least $2,555 extra
Wed, Oct 5 2016Now that loyal customers have been given the opportunity to preorder the Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Launch Edition, Mazda has finally announced pricing for the regular 2017 MX-5 RF lineup. The vehicle, with its gorgeous power retractable hardtop, will come in two trims – the MX-5 RF Club and Grand Touring when the vehicle goes on sale early next year. The MX-5 RF Club with the manual transmission is priced at $32,390, including $835 destination, which represents an additional $2,955 over a six-speed manual MX-5 Club with a soft top. An automatic is a $730 option for both RF and soft top Club models. The range-topping MX-5 RF Grand Touring trim will start at $33,455 with a six-speed manual transmission, which is $1,170 less than the Launch Edition's price tag of $34,685 and $2,555 more than a soft-top model. Opting for the automatic transmission on the Grand Touring trim bumps the price tag up to $34,660. The MX-5 RF models are similarly equipped to the soft-top models. The Club models benefit from cloth seats with red stitching, a limited-slip differential (when equipped with a manual transmission), suspension from Bilstein, and an optional Brembo brake and BBS wheel package for an extra $3,400. The more luxurious Grand Touring models get adaptive headlights, heated leather seats, and lane departure warning. The MX-5 RF models, just like the regular soft-top models, don't have many options. Hands-free keyless entry is a $130 option, while premium paint options, which includes Machine Gray Metallic (the same color on the Launch Edition) and Soul Red Metallic both cost $300. Crystal White Pearl Mica is only available on Grand Touring models and will cost an additional $200. Unlike the Launch Edition that was limited to only 1,000 units, there's no production limit on the regular MX-5 RF. Mazda will being delivering the MX-5 RF Launch Edition in February of 2017, with the standard MX-5 RF models following shortly after.
