1993 Mazda Rx-7 Touring Roller No Engine Or Trans on 2040-cars
Wesley Chapel, Florida, United States
I am selling my project 1993 FD Rx7 I had originally bought this car to put a usdm 2jzgte which I have almost everything to do but my recent marriage put a stop to that. In this listing I am selling a complete roller including the stock drive shaft. The wheels in the picture are not going in this auction I have 2 sets of stocks that the winning bidder can choose from a set of chrome ones and a set of black ones. When I got this cart it had a tan interior in it and the switches for the mirrors where all faded and worn so I replaced all the switches door handles and 90% of the interior with black I also put new door handles on the out side and I had the car changed from red to blu which included under the hood and the door jam's this cost me 5g the interior cost me 3900$ which over the time I have had it I have accumulated tones of extra interior parts and exterior parts. When it comes to the paint with moving the car to multiple shops back and forth there is one scratch about an inch and a half long on the front passenger fender and one small ding in each of the doors other that that the paint and body are flawless. If some one is interested I have a built 2jzgte with a r154 manuel trans the full tech 2 motor sports mounting kit for the 2jz with the upgraded light weight drive shaft for sale which I would be willing to sell everything for 14,000 and access to a shop that can do it for you if you are interested if not I will sell the roller without the wheels in the pic with stock wheels for 7k and when it comes to interior you can have what it has in it or everything I don't care. So the interior as you can see from the pics the console and the gauges are not installed that is because I have three sets of them I have a blue one that is painted the same color as the car, I have a carbon fiber one that is real laid carbon fiber, and I have a stock black set so you will have three to choose from. I also have 2 sets of door wiring harnesses. So most people inquire about the rims they are a staggered set of Mirrors 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear with brand new Nitto NT05 tires that have never seen the street other than being pushed around the shop. If someone buys it all for 14k I will throw the wheels and tires in the deal and I can tell you I have just over 4k in them but as it is I have them sold for 3 locally. This is a rebuilt title car you can run a carfax the car had the engine stollen out of it and that is it no damage and no wrecks and I can tell you the pictures do this car no justice the car is beautiful call me if you can and want to come see it I love showing this car and how beautiful it is. I hope you enjoy the listing and if you have any questions my name is Chris my number is 305-395-1634 Thanks again for looking.

Live pics of 2014 Mazda3 from NYC, sedan on its way
Wed, 26 Jun 2013Here it is, ladies and gentlemen, straight from the memory cards of our own cameras. As you can see, the only version of the 2014 Mazda3 that the automaker is showing off at the moment is the hatchback, but we've gotten confirmation from Mazda that the sedan version will be shown sometime within the next five weeks.
So far, Mazda isn't commenting on whether or not we can expect a higher-performance Mazdaspeed3 version of the car, but we've got our fingers crossed. In any case, we're quite drawn to the appearance of this new hatchback from Mazda, with its flowing lines and character creases setting it apart from the rest of the compact segment in which it competes.
We also appreciate the sound engineering that went into the new 3. Despite boasting a wheelbase that's longer than the car it replaces, we're pleased to see that Mazda has kept its exterior size in check - it's actually shorter overall than the last-gen model - while also reducing weight by about 200 pounds. That's bound to be good for the new 3's dynamic properties.
Mazda CEO says rotary not viable, so don't look for a new one
Tue, 19 Nov 2013We have some very sad news to report, rotor-heads fans: Don't expect a new rotary-powered vehicle anytime soon. This comes straight from Masamichi Kogai, the CEO of Mazda, which is the only company to ever market a commercially successful rotary-powered automobile in the world. The issue, as it has pretty much always been, is environmental.
While the Wankel rotary engine does indeed make a lot of power in a small, lightweight package, it does so while burning lots of fuel and emitting lots of noxious gases into the atmosphere, at least when running on gasoline. And that means the rotary engine will likely only ever be able to power niche vehicles. And that, in turn, means that it is very difficult to turn a profit on vehicles with rotary engines, particularly for a small automaker like Mazda.
"It has to be a viable commercial proposition. If we are going to adopt it, it has to be a product that can generate at least sales of 100,000 units a year. We have to be able to achieve a profit," said Kogai in an interview with Automotive News. Mazda sold 56,203 RX-7 models in the United States (the automaker's biggest market) in 1986. Sales of the RX-8 peaked in 2004, its first full year on the market, with just 23,690 units.
Road & Track to take Miata on million-mile march
Sat, 11 Jan 2014Road & Track has taken on a Miata project. One hell of a project, if we're honest. You see, the Miata in question, a 1989 example in Mariner Blue, isn't a high-mileage Mazda that the publication intends to fix up, or make race-worthy, or try to flip or give away to a reader or something. No, it's a rather typical well-used NA, with a hefty 325,000 miles on the clock to-date that the staff plans on driving until the six-digit odo reads all zeros again. One million miles or bust (or both, most likely).
Procured for the bargain-basement price of $1,600, complete with seat covers that "really do look like muppet pelts" (according to Zach Bowman) and a bondo-filled love tap on the nose, the NA Miata actually looks like just the sort of fun-machine that a real driving enthusiast would pick up to get some cheap thrills in. The R&T team already has some interesting plans for the Miata, including a potential run up Pikes Peak and loaning it out to readers (or perhaps your author...). Click through to read all about it.
