I have an 1987 Mazda RX7 GXL for sale. I have owned this car for 2 years and have had the body professionally redone since I have owned it. I will do my best to describe the vehicle in the following.
Body
-All bodywork done last year by a professional shop.
-Shine Auto Project (FRP) Full Body kit (Spec1 bumper, R-Magic Side Skirts, R-Magic rear half bumper.)
-Added an OEM Turbo 2 (aluminum) hood and Turbo 2 OEM Spoiler.
-Had all the S4 body moldings and lights replaced with the newer S5 style.
-Car was repainted Dupont's 'Snow White' (paint code and touch up paint included.) Car was originally Mazda's Nobel White, this is a much brighter and clean looking white.
-Had all seals/weatherstripping/lenses and lights replaced with new OEM parts from Mazdatrix.
-All lights work and are new.
-S4 power Aero mirrors painted to match body.
-I had the bodyshop shave the rear emblems and replaced them with original imported JDM decals.
-Body is completely rust free.
Interior
-Stock blue cloth, looks 8/10. Great for a 25 year old car.
-There is a sub box in the rear and the amp is mounted behind the passenger seat. All wiring is tucked away and hidden. There is a sony head unit installed. It is hooked up to a toggle to kill all power to it for when the car is in storage.
-Blue LED lights are mounted above where your feet are (hidden.) They turn on with the cd player.
-The has a few cracked plastics. (around the radio and the triangle behind the drivers-side mirror.)
-The steering wheel is aftermarket. I will include the original one with the car.
-The windshield wiper only works on one speed. Common problem, replacement switch will fix it.
-Interior Mazdatrix polished rear strut bar installed.
-Radio light sometimes works sometimes doesn't. I am told it needs re-soldered. As the joint weakens with age.
-A/C and heater both works. The A/C could use a recharge (isn't very cold after 25years...)
-Windows are tinted 35% to help keep the inside cool.
Engine
-1.3 N/A Rotary. Original Motor 104,000 miles and very strong with full compression.
-Unmodified engine.
-New Optima Red-Top Battery
-New Plugs, Wires and the works installed.
-New OEM Alternator (4months old)
-New front tires (2months old >100miles on them.)
-Corksport polished strutbar. installed (not shown in pictures.)
-Mazdatrix short shifter is installed. The original one will be included.
-Runs and drives very well, no hesitation or anything. Occasionally it will idle a bit high (until it fully warms up.) I used this as a daily driver until recently (new car.)
-The cold start system still is intact and works. (The cold start system revs the engine to 2-3k rpms for a while when started in neutral. Put it into gear to bypass it if you want too.)
I also will include the original Factory service manual with the car.
Feel free to shoot me any questions you may have. Upon auction end buyer will be required to place down a $1500 deposit through paypal within 48 hours. The rest may be paid in cash, certified bank check (cleared) or in full by paypal (with fees.) Shipping and/or pickup is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Thanks for looking.

This is the 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF targa-roof fastback
Wed, Mar 23 2016We knew Mazda was going to introduce a new Miata variant ahead of the 2016 New York International Auto Show, but the smart money was on a power retractable hardtop version that largely mirrored the last-gen car's folding number. So it was a surprise when the new 2017 Mazda MX-5 RF – retractable fastback – drove onto the stage sporting wild buttresses and a hide-away targa roof panel. The buttresses lift up and swallow the rear window and roof panel in a matter of seconds, and then the buttresses snug back down. This leaves a hoop spanning the buttresses, but at least it's done up in black to be less visually apparent. The result is more of a targa roof experience, rather than the previous PRHT which gave occupants essentially the same experience as the soft-top with the top down. No matter. The result is stunning, and will differentiate the RF even more from the standard MX-5. Mazda designers took extra care to make sure the interface between the MX-5's dramatic fenders and the trailing edges of the roof support provided enough visual drama. Mission accomplished, we'd say. We can't take our eyes off that part of the car. View 13 Photos As you might expect, mechanical changes seem to be minor, although we'll be asking for detailed specs. Both the 1.5- and 2.0-liter engines will be available globally, but only the 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine will be sold in the US. The roof can be operated at up to 6.2 mph. Mazda claims the truck space is unaltered from the soft-top model. We don't yet know how much, if any, the RF's mechanism adds to the bantamweight roadster, nor the premium it'll command. Expect those details closer to launch. Related Video:
Mazda's new Mexican plant capacity rises to 230,000
Sat, 05 Jan 2013After the turmoil of last year, 2013 is getting off to a much better start for Mazda. The company has issued a release indicating that the forthcoming plant in Salamanca, Mexico has had its production capacity raised even though it isn't scheduled to go online until March 2014. The original plans called for a 140,000-unit capacity, 90,000 of that allotted for the Mazda2 and Mazda3, the remaining 50,000 for a small car Mazda would build for Toyota that would be based on the Mazda2. The new plans call for raising that by 90,000 units to a total of 230,000 units within two years, by the end of March 2016, and it looks like it will all go toward Mazda production to satisfy growing demand for Skyactiv vehciles. The Mexican plant's opening will be the return of Mazda manufacturing to North America, after Mazda6 production was moved back to Japan last year.
More good news for the company is that it projects 10 billion yen ($114 million) in net income for the financial year that will end in March. That would be a welcome turnaround from the 100-billion-yen loss in the previous financial year, part of a series of three annual losses in a four-year span.
You'll find the press release with the factory update below.
Tow truck driver hilariously bad at righting a flipped Mazda
Wed, 30 Oct 2013Can rolling your car get any worse? The correct answer is yes, as this poor soul found out when he rolled his Mazda3 onto its side. Calling a tow truck might be a logical, post-rollover move, but in this case, it kind of made the situation worse.
We don't want to give away just what happened, so you'll need to scroll down and watch the video. A fair warning, though, it does contain a moment of colorful language towards the end, so watching it at work, with the volume up, might not be wise. Have a look below for the full video.
