This is a project care for someone that wants to have fun with it. The previous owner bridge-ported the engine for maximum gas flow. Then got in trouble and never finished it. I understand that is very expensive to do. I just put the battery, a freshly re-manufactured Holley 650 cfm carburetor, a nice Holey fuel pump and new spark plugs. It fired up but it is a race car not a daily driver for me. It has huge stainless steel exhaust pips and is loud. Fast and loud. I took it out a few times but it got fowled out because I did not use the racing spark plugs. Selling it as is where is as a project for someone who know how to work on the rotary engine. I also have a origional fuel injection for it but I am not sure that would make this engine go. It has had the a/c remove and the power steering for racing. I have some of that I think. I drove it fine without power steering. Body need paint see the pictures. I had this running but it has been sitting and I started it about every month but now it seems the plugs are fowled or something. Needs work to get it running. I bought this originally for my son to drive but did not know it was modified to race. I didn't know till I started it. Wow then I knew so he never got to drive it.

I hate the Toyota Corolla. I'm not talking about the new 2014 model; I can't yet judge a car I haven't driven. I'm referring to the current, old-as-dirt sedan. As an appliance, I get why people buy it, but it represents everything that I, as a car enthusiast, dislike. I don't like looking at it, I don't like sitting in it, and I really don't like driving it. There is absolutely no amount of emotion dialed into any part of the Corolla experience and every other vehicle in the segment is a far better choice. But still, somehow, Toyota sells 'em like hotcakes.
Thankfully, there are a lot of people who agree with me. And for folks like us, companies like Mazda exist. This small Japanese automaker places emotion and driver involvement as its top priorities when creating new products, and mostly - especially in recent years - the end results have been great. The new CX-5 crossover is a doll, to say nothing of the rakish and lovely new Mazda6 that launched earlier this year. And let's not forget the Miata...

Mazda considers expanding Takata recall nationwide

Honda expanded its front driver's side Takata airbag inflator recall nationwide to cover an estimated 5.4-million vehicles, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration added 19 notices to its database covering safety campaigns dating back to October. It looks like there could be one more to add to the list soon because Mazda is considering a possible nationwide expansion of its own inflator repairs. A company spokesperson tells Reuters that there is no decision yet when to actually make this nationwide expansion of the driver's side inflator recall official, and the company isn't sure how many vehicles may be affected. Mazda just expanded the scope of its Takata inflator recalls to additional regions earlier in December. The move took its total number of units in need of repair from around 65,000 under the earlier NHTSA estimate to 86,773, according to the company. So far, the automaker's US campaign has included the 2003-2007 Mazda6, 2006-2007 MazdaSpeed6, 2004-2008 Mazda RX-8, 2004-2005 MPV and 2004 B-Series pickup.
