1. Engine rebuilt at 117,000 km with an Atkins Master rebuild kit. Rotor housings reconditioned by Goopy Performance in NY. PFS SMIC (used) and new M2 style air box and Efini Y pipe
2. Radiator replaced with all aluminum radiator
3. JDM downpipe (no pre-cat) and RB dual tip exhaust (have stock parts)
4. Greddy Profec B electronic boost controller; perfect 10-8-10 boost pattern
5. Transmission replaced with low mileage JDM unit at 121,000 km.
6. Koni Yellow shocks and Eibach Prokit springs (have stock shocks and springs)
7. R1 front strut brace; Garfinkle engine torque brace; rod end sway bar links
8. Replaced all rear suspension bushings: OEM pillow balls and seals; all others are Mazda Speed bushings. Mazda Speed differential bushings

The glitzy spot has a very Sin City feel to it, although considering some of the ads we've seen tonight, it's short on shock value, humor and heart-tugging imagery. Mazda CX-3 to be diesel-only in Japanese home market
Wed, Mar 4 2015Diesel power. It's not just for Europeans anymore. In fact, when Mazda introduces its new CX-3 compact crossover to its home market of Japan, the model will be exclusively diesel-powered, Reuters says, citing remarks made by Mazda CEO Masamichi Kogai. Consistent with its recent push for better fuel economy, Mazda is embracing diesel power as a way to boost fuel-economy for cars that may be larger than the compact variety. Mazda, which plans to make about 150,000 gas- and diesel-powered CX-3s for global consumption per year, is pricing the diesel CX-3 at about $20,000 in Japan. Diesel sales accounted for less than three percent of new-vehicle sales in Japan last year, so there's a risk to Mazda's strategy. But the automaker, which is the fifth-largest in Japan, says performance and noise (and smoke) issues largely associated with diesel powertrains in the past have largely been eliminated. In all, Mazda expects worldwide sales for the year ending March 31 to rise almost five percent from a year earlier to about 1.4 million units. Mazda showed off an early version of the CX-3 at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November, though North American versions of the model will indeed be gas-powered. Mazda3 successor due in dealers this fall
Sat, 23 Mar 2013Following exciting new models like the 2013 CX-5 and 2014 Mazda6, Mazda is getting ready to introduce the next generation of its high-volume compact, the Mazda3. After talking to several of Mazda's dealers, Automotive News is reporting that the automaker is planning to introduce its new compact this fall, which is earlier than what was originally reported.
Aside from what we've seen in recent spy shots and what appeared to be a full-scale design mockup back in October, there is little information about the third-generation 3, but we can see that the car will get plenty of cues from Mazda's stylish Kodo design language, and we expect even more technologies from the company's SkyActiv efficiency program to come to bear. AN says that Mazda is hoping to top 300,000 sales this year in the US, and the sooner Mazda can replace the current aging 3, the better chances it has at reaching that goal.
