I have for sale a 1997 Mazda Protege DX with 227k miles. Title in Hand. Salvage Title. Recent tags good until March 2015. It is in good condition and runs well. A/C works!!! Newer tires (about 75%) and aftermarket rims. Has some cosmetic and body issues, nothing too major. I drive it to school all the time and have had no issues.

Here is a list of some of the recent new parts and routine maintenance done:
-Oil Change with Quaker State 10w-14 and FRAM high mileage filter
-Radiator Flush, refilled with Zerex G05 Premium Coolant
-New Fuel Filter
-New Clutch Master Cylinder
-New Denso Oxygen Sensor
-New NGK Spark Plugs
-New Radiator Hoses
-New Brake Rotors and Pads
-Newer Tires, Mounted and Balanced
-New Headlight Bulbs
-A/C System recently recharged, blows cold
(Have receipts from part stores to verify all this)

Here are a list of some of the small issues or things that may need replacing:
-Slight rear end damage in the trunk area (reason for salvage title) Was repaired slightly and driver side rear taillight and rear bumper have been secured with Gorilla Tape and tie downs (this was all from the previous owner not me)
-Dents and Dings
-Could use new rear shocks
-CD Player works off and on, currently has error code
-Interior is ok, some signs of wear

Honda, Nissan and Mazda recalling 3 million vehicles for airbag inflators

Three million more vehicles can be added to the worldwide tally to be repaired for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata. Honda, Nissan, and Mazda have all issued recalls to replace the bad part, including about 1.2 million of them in North America. NHTSA has been investigating all three companies, plus Chrysler and Toyota, for potentially affected vehicles.
Honda is recalling roughly 1.02 million Civic, CR-V, Odyssey and Element models In North America, built between April 2000 and October 2002. Mazda needs to repair 14,794 units of the RX-8 and Mazda6, and Nissan has 228,000 vehicles in North America to be fixed.
Chrysler is also starting what it calls a "regional field action" to replace the inflators in the 2006 Dodge Charger, according to a company spokesperson. The company says that it has not yet found the problem in any of its vehicles, but it's being done "out of an abundance of caution." The final number of Chargers affected will be announced later this week.

Mazda to celebrate 25 years of MX-5 with 15 Miatas in New York

Having first debuted at the Chicago Auto Show in 1989, the Mazda MX-5 Miata has been on the market now for an impressive 25 years. So to celebrate that quarter-century anniversary, Mazda is bringing no less than 15 examples of the legendary roadster from throughout its history to the New York Auto Show this year.
Mazda isn't saying just which versions of the MX-5 it's bringing to the Javitz center this year, but with three generations to choose from and over 900,000 units built and sold, there are plenty of examples - including production versions, special editions and concept cars.
What would really put the cherry on this birthday cake, however, would be if Mazda were to surprise us in Manhattan with the debut of the highly anticipated fourth-generation Miata that we're expecting to debut sometime this year.

Mazda announces live-streaming vehicle intro on Xbox

In April, Mazda introduced a marketing campaign titled "Game Changers" to showcase how certain people have made significant impacts in their respective sports, and now it's the Japanese automaker that is changing the game by creating an innovative way to launch a new product. Mazda is teaming up with Xbox to offer a first-of-its-kind live-streaming global debut of a new product. Mazda didn't say which model will be debuted, but our guess is that it will be the next-generation Mazda3.
The actual reveal will take place at 9 pm on June 26 during a live concert from the band Metric in New York City, but there will be other live events preceding the concert in Melbourne, St. Petersburg, Istanbul and London. Mazda will be promoting the event on social media using the hashtag #GameChanger, and there is also a contest on Xbox where one winner will receive $2,500 to attend a music event of their choice.
