I am the sole owner of this car since August 2006. Never raced or tracked. Only spirited driving expected from a sports sedan. Modifications were done more as a hobby rather than for any type of competition. All oil changes done at 4-5K intervals with 5W-40 Shell Rotella T6 synthetic motor oil. The oil was just changed and alignment done to prepare for sale. I have kept records of maintenance/repairs.

Repairs/Upkeep of this vehicle:

  • New Turbo replaced under warranty from the Mazda dealership.
  • New Transfer Case
  • New Thermostat
  • New Serpentine Belt (V-Belt)
  • Newer Shocks
  • New Brake Pads

This car gets plenty of compliments. Just look at the pictures and see for yourself.

It drives just as good as it looks. With the modifications, this car comes in close to 300 hp. Power comes on strong and smooth in the low RPMs. You can get a good tuner and make more horsepower on this car, if that is your goal. There are people in the Mazdaspeed6 community that make 400-500 hp with the right mods.

Please message me with any additional questions.

I have the car for sale locally as well, and will update this ebay listing in the event that it sells before the auction ends.

Thanks for looking.

NFL player Alfred Morris receives his thoroughly restored 1991 Mazda 626

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Washington Redskins starting running back Alfred Morris might not drive a flashy sports car or SUV, but after today, he'll be driving the nicest 1991 Mazda 626 on the planet.
Back in July, Morris temporarily traded in his 626 - cheekily named Bentley - for a 2014 Mazda6 loaner courtesy of Mazda, and today the sedan was presented back to him after the ultimate PR stunt: a reported 275-man-hour restoration that left this 22-year-old daily driver looking like it just rolled off the assembly line.
Not everything was brought back to original condition, though. The expired sticker from Morris' final year at Florida Atlantic University was left on the windshield, but to fit the car's nickname, a few high-end touches were added to the interior. This includes the quilted, cross-stitched leather seats (just like a real Bentley) and the touchscreen Pioneer audio system. There's also a plaque under the hood marking this car as the "Alfred Morris Project."

'Ringbanana' Miata is improbable 9-minute Nurburgring car

Wed, Aug 12 2015

The combination of being inexpensive, capable, reliable, and friendly to all skill levels makes the Mazda Miata one of the world's most popular platforms for motorsports, but the roadsters aren't exactly rocketships. What would it take to lap a ratty, first-gen example around the Nurburgring Nordschleife in less than nine minutes? We're not exactly sure, but the Ringbanana team intends to discover the answer. The project is the type of thing that gets dreamed up after a few too many pilsners: buy the cheapest running Miata available and put as little money necessary into the roadster to make it capable around the 'Ring. As the Best-Motoring-inspired intro explains, the Mazda is largely stock other than some Fulda performance tires, possibly aftermarket springs, and a stripped interior. The video above shows the baseline test, and the convertible manages a 9:21.8 circuit, which doesn't seem too bad as a start. The video below goes into far more detail about the project's genesis and its goal. Plus, the two hosts are quite entertaining when replying to the comments from the original clip. We wish them the best of luck and look forward to following along on Facebook to see what it takes to get the Ringbanana below nine minutes. This content is hosted by a third party. Did Mazda designer Derek Jenkins leave to head up a 'Stealth Project?'

Sat, Jul 25 2015

Not long after Derek Jenkins officially gave the 2016 MX-5 Miata to the buying world, he's left the Mazda building. Jalopnik reported that the head of design for Mazda North America changed the current job description on his LinkedIn profile to "Stealth Project." Mazda backed up the discovery with this reply to Jalop's inquiry: Derek left Mazda last Friday. He left on great terms in order to work on a new endeavor. We wish him the best of luck. He will be missed, but we are sure that he will do great things in the next chapter of his career. That "last Friday" would be July 17. Emphasizing the "stealth" bit in his new position, as far as we can tell, Jenkins still hasn't publicly answered any question about what he's doing. Every automaker has secrets, but traditional automakers usually make a hubbub about hiring big-name designers, especially one with Jenkins' resume. For his new employer to go all Ghost Recon with all information, well that's the kind of mystery this summer needs. The obvious culprit would be a certain fruit-named company in a certain Cupertino, CA office park. If that ends up being the case, Jenkins would be the second chief designer at Mazda NA to go electric: he replaced Franz von Holzhausen in the position after von Holzhausen went to Tesla. Various other Apple Project Titan hires have made the news, though. For all we know, Jenkins' project might not be automotive. So let's just go ahead and cue the speculation. We're looking forward to whatever he's got coming, and to whoever gets nominated to keep the full head of Zoom-Zoom going at Mazda NA.
