2010 Mazda 5 Grand Touring Mini Passenger Van 4-door 2.3l on 2040-cars
Orlando, Florida, United States
THIS IS AN 'AS-NEW' LOW MILEAGE ECONOMICAL 3 ROW 6 SEAT PEOPLE CARRIER. I am the original owner, having bought the vehicle from the local Mazda dealer with 5 miles on the clock. This vehicle has been serviced regularly at the same local Mazda dealer (with copies of full service records). This vehicle has been very economical and saved me a lot of money with great mpg, although I have purposely kept the mileage low with the intention of selling it. Garage kept and with rubber mats and seat covers protecting the original leather and carpets, the vehicle shows signs of very little use, if any. I downsized from a Ford Expedition to the Mazda5 to drive something more economical, but still having a spacious vehicle with the ability to carry more people and it served it's purpose. I am, however, a big person and like to drive a big SUV so chose to keep the vehicle's mileage low (using my wife's car for any long distance driving), with the intention of selling the vehicle when I was ready to go back to the Ford Expedition. I have now purchased that vehicle and ready to sell the Mazda5. It has a clean title, no lienholders; The engine start and runs smooth and delivers adequate power, the acceleration is very strong and fast. The automatic transmission shifts perfectly and with the option to use the manual shift mode, the steering is very precise and provides good feel at speed, at the same time, the steering remains light to the touch at low speeds, making driving around town and in parking lots a bit easier. Steering and versatility are outstanding that feels very smooth on any road. The brakes very good and all the power options work fine, the AC is ice cold. I have just purchased 4 new tires (and kept two of the original tires as the tread on these was still good) - these have the tire lifetime rotation and repair warranty which is transferable to the new owner. The vehicle still has the remainder of the 60 month/60,000 mile powertrain warranty. Here are the details about the car from Mazda: Taking the compact agility of its MAZDA3 sibling and adding
the convenience of fold-away third row seating and dual sliding rear doors, the
MAZDA5 truly becomes a multi-tasking giant. The second row seats recline and
come equipped with under-seat storage and a fold-out table that offers storage
as well as dual cup holders. With just one touch the second row seats slide
over and seatbacks tilt forward to allow for easy entry to the third row
theater-style seats. Or, simply fold down the third row seat to haul everything
for the weekend camping trip. Even the tailgate is flexible, featuring two stop
positions that allow the door to open fully and to keep the hatch level safe
for low garage doors. This MAZDA5 is the Grand Touring model --and a
153-horsepower, 2.3L 4-cylinder engine with 5-speed automatic gearbox. Mazda gave
the people carrier a fully independent suspension, and as a result, ride and
handling are surprisingly sporty. Variable-ratio rack-and-pinion steering is
standard, as are 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with electronic brakeforce
distribution (EBD) and emergency brake assist (EBA), two innovations that help
assure peak braking in emergency conditions. Additional safety comes from the
standard line-up of airbags and tire pressure monitoring. The MAZDA5 achieved a
5-Star Safety rating from the NHTSA. Across the board, the MAZDA5 comes well equipped. With a
comparably low price for a 6 seat three row people carrier, the vehicle is
outfitted with automatic climate control and second-row fan speed controls,
17-inch alloy wheels, an in-dash 6-disc CD changer with 6-speaker sound system,
power windows, door locks, and remote keyless entry, a power moonroof, fog
lamps, LED taillights, a rear spoiler, side-sill extensions, a leather-wrapped
steering wheel; the luxurious Grand Touring gets leather upholstery, heated
front seats, an alarm system, a Bluetooth hands-free calling interface, heated
door mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and manual-leveling HID headlamps. Further Details: Feel free to ask me any questions or request any further photos. Payment and Shipping: Vehicle is available for local pick-up. $1000 deposit required via PayPal within 48 hours of winning bid. Full payment within 7 days. |

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata battles Toyota GT86 on track
Mon, Oct 5 2015It's got two doors and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine up front, driving the rear wheels. It's made in Japan, and as far as bang-for-your-buck goes, it's a downright bargain. So which are we talking about, the Mazda MX-5 Miata, or the Toyobaru coupe known alternately as the Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, or Toyota GT-86? The answer is "yes," and it just goes to show, roofs notwithstanding, how close these two vehicles really are to one another. Which one is your favorite may come down to a matter of personal taste, but for its latest video, Auto Express set out to find out which laps faster around the track. On paper at least, the Toyota's 200 horsepower will trump the Mazda's 155 any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Then again, the Miata does weigh a good 400 pounds less, even with the 2.0-liter engine and despite its convertible bodystyle – but is that enough to make up the difference? You're going to have to just watch the video for yourself to find out. All we'll tell you is that the match is pretty darn close – what you might call a photo finish, if they were actually racing each other at the same time as opposed to each racing the clock separately. So watch the video above and voice your support for your favorite little Japanese sports car in the Comments section. Related Video:
Mazda6 GX Grand-Am racer goes where no diesel sedan has gone before
Sat, 26 Jan 2013There has never been a four-door diesel sedan in the Grand-Am series, until now: The blunt, bewinged grille of the Mazda6 GX has blown right through that wall. It's said that racing improves the breed, but usually the breed has gone on sale when the racing begins. One of the unusual aspects of the Mazda6 GX, on the other hand, is that while the diesel won't go on sale to the public until later this year, it will already have tasted racing blood by the end of the day. That kind of reversal is more likely found with super coupes like the Lexus LFA and Honda NSX.
Mazda has taken class wins at Daytona's 24-hour race a whopping 23 times since 1975, most recently in 2010 with the RX-8 in the GT class. This year the Hiroshima company decided to show off its SkyActiv technology, then turned things up to eleven by opting for its SkyActiv-D instead of the more conventional SkyActiv-G gas engine to run in the new GX class. It will be joined by competitors like the Lotus Evora and Porsche Cayman in the class, nevertheless, at 2.4 liters, it's the smallest engine on the grid.
Time has not been a friend, either - Mazda said that the first five SkyActiv-D engines off the production line went to Speed Source in Coral Springs, Florida, the company that preps Mazda's race vehicles. Still, race driver Jonathan Baumarito on the #70 car said that although the engine's been on the dyno since February of last year, it's only been in the car for about a month and there have been only a couple of test days.
Mazda's Hofu plant builds its ten-millionth car
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Ten million is a lot no matter which way you cut it, and no matter what you're talking about: Ten million dollars, ten million miles, ten million people... certainly ten million cars. And that's the milestone that Mazda's Hofu plant in Yamaguchi prefecture of Japan has just achieved.
The Hofu facility has been in operation since 1982, and was supplemented with a second plant on the same site ten years later. Hofu reached a million units built in 1986 and five million in 2002. But with production now at 482,100 units per year, it took less than twelve years to double that previous milestone.
The magic ten-millionth car was a new Mazda6 (known locally as the Atenza), which is built at Hofu Plant No. 2, while Hofu Plant No. 1 gears up for the new Mazda3 (aka Axela). Scroll down below for a related press release.
