2007 Mazdaspeed 3 GT. Car has been garage kept its entire life and has been adult driven only. I bought this as a second car (early 2008) and have enjoyed it but haven't put more than 5k miles in 2 years on it and that's why the mileage is below average. I just had the car professionally ($300) clayed, waxed and detailed. I just put on new bilstein HD shocks on the rear as well as sway bar bushings, new oil (Mobile 1) and filter, new Denso ITV 22 plugs. The vehicle has many upgrades including Optima Yellow top battery, MTS top mount intercooler with street unit boost tubes, Cp-e Nviscid turbo inlet pipe, Cp-e short ram intake (nano), Cp-e HPFP (high pressure cam driven fuel pump), Cp-e down pipe, Cp-e 316 Stainless Steel exhaust, Cp-e motor mounts (70 Durant), Cp-e transmission mounts, Cobb AP using stage 2+ tune. Car has never been driven hard, more of a weekend sports car to look and sound good. I have enjoyed this car tremendously but I am in the process of moving overseas and that is why I am selling this vehicle. This car has been maintained perfectly and was loved very much and I do not like parting with it. I am hoping to get a reasonable price for my car but understand its a niche market for this type of vehicle. Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
Mazda Miata 25th anniversary display is roadster heaven on Earth
Thu, 17 Apr 2014As part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the MX-5 Miata, Mazda has put together a rather large display at its New York Auto Show booth, showing off significant models from the diminutive roadsters history.
The display represents a healthy split of volume models, with cars 14, 15 and 17 sitting alongside cars 500,000 and 700,000. There are also more than a few concept cars in the offering, such as the Super20 Concept we drove a few years back, as well as older offerings, like the Club Racer concept from the 1989 Chicago Auto Show, the M-Speedster from the 1995 Chicago show and the M Coupe from the 1996 New York Auto Show.

Honda may recall up to 1M vehicles for airbag issue, following Toyota's lead
Mon, 16 Jun 2014It seems Toyota won't be the only one recalling the faulty Takata airbag inflators for long. Honda insiders in Japan claim that the company is getting close to announcing its own worldwide campaign that would begin before the end of June.
Unnamed sources close to Honda in Japan tell Automotive News that the company is pursuing an internal investigation into possibly affected models and is working with Takata to gather more information. They claim that it could involve even more than the 1.14 million cars worldwide that the automaker covered under the first recall for the problem in April 2013, including 561,000 vehicles in the US.
Toyota jumpstarted this process last week when it recalled over 2 million cars worldwide, including 844,277 in the US. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began a preliminary evaluation into the issue following six reported incidents, and started assembling data about potentially affected models from Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Chrysler. NHTSA also began investigating Takata itself.
