2004 Miata MX-5 Turbo

MAZDASPEED

Justin 503-969-5127

All Right Folks!  If you have been waiting for that 1 special Miata to call your baby.. the long wait could be over.

On eBay for your consideration today is a 2004 Mazda Miata MX-5 MAZDASPEED..  (that means turbo) It is a special car and was factory made is smaller numbers to give it more exclusivity.  This example has only 46,454 miles from new.

Those of you out there with a discerning eye will also recognize that this car has also received some modifications.  The parts and upgrades include..  Cold Air Intake, Turbo Boost Gauge, Full Flyin’ Miata Exhaust System, CK Racing Intercooler, R Speed Chaparral Wheels, Hard Dog “Double Cross” Roll Bar.  Plus other small details I am sure I am leaving out.

This Miata is well appointed with custom extras, but it was Never Tracked or Auto Crossed or abused at all.  As a matter of fact the boost is turned down because the owner wanted to help preserve the life of the engine.  The car was just put on the Dyno and it still puts out 201 hp to the rear wheels.  If the boost is increased that horsepower will see steep gains as well.

The car is finished in it’s factory sprayed Velocity Red.  It has never been scratched or dinged or crashed or smoked in or flooded or kept outside..  This car is as nice as they get.  No stories, no problems of any kind at all.  Every option works as it should and all the services are up to date.  The top works perfectly and it is in “as new” condition.

Any time a part was upgraded; the factory part was kept and will come with the car for the sake of future values.  The wheels on the car are the only ones we have however.  I can easily source them for you but they would cost extra.  This car will surely be one to hold on to.

The Mazda is clean and tight and runs fantastically.  These Turbo cars are getting harder to come by as time goes on.  Bid with confidence..  This is a Miata anyone would be proud of.

I am selling the Mazda with a LOW RESERVE and I know it will sell the first go around as long as we all play by these rules.

#1.  Only bid if you have intentions to buy.

#2. Ask any and all questions before bidding.

#3. Please contact me BEFORE BIDDING if you have zero or negative feedback.

#4. This is an AS-IS sale.  I have done my best to describe it exactly as I see it but it has no warranties or guarantees.

#5. I will not accept Pay-Pal for the balance payment of the Miata.  Pay-Pal is for the deposits only, the balance must be paid by certified check or wire.  Legitimate and legal buyers only please.

#6.  Worldwide bidders!!  It is your responsibility to check with your governments to make sure you can import the vehicle..

Just be real and genuine and I will make sure that the winning bidder is happy with his or her purchase.  Also, I will end the sale for the right offer so don’t wait till the last second and worry about missing out.  Just call me and we will work out a fair price..

Mazda sells 10 millionth car in the US, does something special

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

When Lauren Carter of Glen Ellyn, IL was in the market for her first car, she went for a Mazda3. Not a bad choice, but not necessarily remarkable on the surface. After all, Mazda sold 123,361 of them here last year alone. What she didn't know was that the car she bought was the 10 millionth Mazda had sold in the US over the course of its 43-year history here, since selling its first rotary-powered R100 here in 1970.
Rather than let the occasion pass with nothing more than a press release (like the one below), Mazda gave Lauren a brand-new 2014 Mazda3 to replace the 2013 model she had bought. Which is a nice gesture, of course, but also enables Mazda to hold on to the landmark 10,000,000th car in its heritage collection.

Japan may aid carmakers facing U.S. tariff threat

Wed, Sep 12 2018

TOKYO — Japan is considering giving carmakers fiscal support including tax breaks to offset the impact from trade frictions with the United States and a sales-tax hike planned for next year, government sources told Reuters on Wednesday. Going into a second round of trade talks with the United States on Sept. 21, Japan is hoping to avert steep tariffs on its car exports and fend off U.S. demands for a bilateral free trade agreement that could put it under pressure to open politically sensitive markets, like agriculture. "If the trade talks pile pressure on Japan's car exports, we would need to consider measures to support the auto industry," a ruling party official said on condition of anonymity because of sensitivity of the matter. The auto industry accounts for about 20 percent of Japan's overall output and around 60-70 percent of the country's trade surplus with the United States, making it vulnerable to U.S. action against Japanese exports. Japan's biggest automakers and components suppliers fear they could take a significant hit if Washington follows through on proposals to hike tariffs on autos and auto parts to 25 percent. Policymakers also worry that an increase in the sales tax from 8 percent to 10 percent planned for October 2019, could cause a slump in sales of big-ticket items such as cars and home. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has twice postponed the tax hike after the last increase from 5 percent in 2014 dealt a blow to private consumption, which accounts for about 60 percent of the economy. To prevent a pullback in demand after the tax hike, the government may consider large fiscal spending later when it draws up its budget for next year, government sources said. "One option may be to greatly reduce or abolish the automobile purchase tax," one of the government sources said. The government is also considering cuts in the automobile tax and automobile weight tax to help car buyers, the source added. 2018 L.A. Auto Show: 5-plus takeaways on Jeep, Honda, Porsche and more

Thu, Nov 29 2018

The 2018 L.A. Auto Show is making a strong case that auto shows aren't dead. Carmakers are ladling out sports cars and SUVs featuring serious style and performance in Los Angeles, and it's a feast for the senses. We're talking the new Porsche 911, the long-awaited Jeep Gladiator and the stylish Mazda3. It's the best car show with the most important reveals since the 2018 Detroit Auto Show kicked off the year. Here are some quick reactions: The 2019 Jeep Gladiator is a rock star When the story went live on Autoblog, our traffic went straight up. I've literally never seen the graph go straight up. So yeah, you guys seem to like it. I do, too. It's everything I want in a vehicle, including enough of a retro feel that it satisfies my cravings for an old Cherokee XJ. It's more capable and likely more expensive than I originally anticipated, but Jeep is going to have to expand its Toledo factory to keep up with demand. Don't be fooled by whatever the politicians say when that happens. It's because people like Jeeps and pickups, and this is the hero sandwich of all of that. I'd likely go with the 3.6-liter and a manual transmission if I were buying a Gladiator, but the diesel is compelling, too. Gladiator is a great name, drenched in history. I like it better than Scrambler, which never felt right to me. Only issue: It's a little over-the-top. Imagine this conversation: "So, ready to go to Panera?" "Sure, let's take the Gladiator." I mean, it's a bit much to refer to your personal vehicle as the Gladiator. Unless Russell Crowe is driving it. Then it's fine. The 2020 Porsche 911 is conservatively brilliant Every time I drive a 718 Cayman, Jaguar F-Type or another 911 challenger, I wonder if the 911 may be over the hill. It's not. And it likely never will be. This latest generation, dubbed 992 in Porsche-speak, stayed the course. The back takes some Mission E stylings that give the 911 a more modern feel. The flat six gets a little more power. The digital-heavy interior looks futuristic and slick. But overall, it's a blocking-and-tackling update that should satisfy the purists and maybe draw in a few new Porsche fans. It's the right time for the 2019 Honda Passport This slots between the Honda CR-V and the Honda Pilot. That's serious segmentation, but it's another crossover, and it's undoubtedly what the people want.
