1996 Mazda Miata "m" Edition - 60k Miles on 2040-cars
Winfield, Kansas, United States
Up for auction is my 1996 Mazda Miata M edition with only 60,398 miles. Production was limited to only 2968 M Edition Miatas in 1996 and had the highest base sticker price of any NA Miata at $24,760. Paint color is factory Starlight Blue Mica. The exterior is in good condition overall. It doesn’t have any rust and has never been in an accident, however it does have a few small dings here and there. The paint itself is in great shape as it’s always been garaged and driven as a fair weather car. Still has the factory top which has been well cared for and still looks excellent. The wheels don’t have any rash on them, but just need a bit of scrubbing to make them look like new. Tires are relatively new and have lots of life left. The interior of the car is in fantastic shape with little to no visible wear. The seat bolsters are great and the leather is in wonderful shape. All the interior panels are excellent; no cracks or damage of any kind. Mechanically, the car is in superb shape. The engine purrs and doesn’t have any lifter noise common to NA Miatas. This M edition does have the Torsen limited slip differential. Everything works just as it did from the factory. It has power windows, cruise, fantastic AC, premium sound, CD, power antenna and power mirrors. The car will come with the factory tan top boot and a clear title.

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata reveal livestream is here and now
Wed, 03 Sep 2014Let's not understate the significance and difficulty of what's been accomplished here. In this ever-connected, constantly surveilled modern auto industry, Mazda has pulled a coup - it's kept a new vehicle under wraps. Yes, we've seen hacked up and camouflaged mules and maybe a form under a sheet, but Mazda is about to reveal its next-generation MX-5 Miata, and the car - let alone its specifications - hasn't been leaked anywhere yet. Not via clandestine camera phone snapshot, not by patent drawing, not by leaked ad copy, not even by diecast model. Believe us, we've looked.
And this isn't just some humdrum crossover or workaday compact, it's the Miata, the world's most popular roadster, apple of the enthusiast community's eye and seeming center of gravity for the Japanese automaker. For those who are genuinely excited about cars - about motoring - this is an impressive feat. If anything, Mazda's radio silence regarding the fourth-generation ND Miata has only served to heighten our anticipation for a model that probably won't reach showrooms for another year.
So, what's true and what's false among all the rumors? Will the already lightweight Miata really shed hundreds of pounds? What exactly will live under hood and drive those rear wheels?
2015 Mazda2 spotted on the road
Tue, 15 Apr 2014When Mazda unveiled the Hazumi Concept at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, our excitement for the next Mazda2 increased considerably. The Hazumi looks to retain much of the driving character that makes the current 2 one of the very best cars in its segment while infusing it with more aggressive styling. Of course, when the 2 arrives, it won't look exactly like the Hazumi. That's why these spy photos are so important.
This is our very first look at the next-generation 2, and although the Hazumi influence might be difficult to discern, thanks to the swirly camo, it's still there. The grille shape and the headlights are very similar in shape to the items shown on the concept, while the camouflage disguises the shape of the greenhouse, which looks somewhat like the Hazumi.
What we can't see, though, is under the hood. That's where our spies come in, reporting that a pair of 1.5-liter SkyActiv engines will see action in the tossable 2. The former, which we'll almost certainly see in the US, is a gas-powered mill found in the Euro-spec Mazda3. In the larger 3, it produces 99 horsepower and 111 pound-feet of torque, which is broadly similar to what the current 2's 1.5-liter pumps out. The other engine, a 1.5-liter SkyActiv diesel, probably won't be making the trip, although we'll continue to hope.
