1995 Mazda Miata M Edition, Mechanically 10/10! on 2040-cars
Mansfield, Texas, United States
Hello to all ebay shoppers! I am selling my 1995 Mazda Miata M Edition. I am the second owner, with a clear title in hand. I purchased this car from the original owner in Houston, TX. The original owner had the timing belt, water pump, and valve cover gasket done at 113,000 miles (photo of engine shows gates sticker on intake showing the date the timing belt was changed). The car is equipped with a torsen lsd differential (even power to both rear wheels, diff shown in photo). Since I have purchased the car I have done several maintenance items myself.
What I have done: Exedy Clutch kit $200 Exedy lightweight flywheel $350 Replaced all spark plugs $20 Replaced spark plug wires $40 Installed JVC Radio with hd radio and ipod tagging (Use to work in audio shop so the wiring has been done correctly, not by a kid) $100 Installed Alpine door speakers $100 Installed stance coilovers $1,300 Replaced all four tires $300 Replaced all four brake pads and rotors $400 Replaced complete exhaust system with magnaflow system $350 Rebuilt both driver and passenger door panel $250 Over $3,400 invested in vehicle (not including labor) The car runs great, needs no mechanical attention. Feel free to have it inspected. I have all records in hand. The stance coilovers take an already great handling car, and make it even better. The coilovers have 16 settings for damping (soft to firm, one of the adjustment knobs is shown in a photo). The height is adjustable from slammed to the ground to an inch under stock height. Plenty of options. Cons: Top is in average shape, does not leak, however is faded a little Paint reflects the age of the vehicle After finishing all the mechanical repairs I was going to redo the exterior. I have taken a lot time getting the car back to 10/10 mechanical shape. I would drive this car anywhere in its current condition. If you are looking for car that can be daily driven, but still have fun and enjoy than this is your car. I have set my reserve price based on the current market value and condition so it is very fair. The auto check shows four owners but I am the second, the first owner leased the vehicle from mazda, then purchased it from them. He then moved to Huntsville (50 miles north of Houston) and had to get another title because he lost the original title he had. Please feel free to call or text (prefer text) me anytime. 817-372-0567 Check back often because I will be adding several photos within the next day. No refunds, and there is no warranty. This car is for sale locally so if it sells locally I will take down this ebay auction. A $300 deposit will be required through paypal within 24 hours of the auction ending and the car must be picked up within 5 business days. The remainder of the balance must be paid by certified check (check must clear my bank before car is released), or cash. I do encourage picking the car up in person. Mechanically perfect to drive across country. I will do my best to accommodate you and if you would like to fly in I can pick you up from the local airport. |

2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Tue, 10 Dec 2013The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Here now is the list of finalists for the big prizes:

Buy a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth, get a free day of driving school
Fri, Aug 19 2016We know the Mazda MX-5 Miata and the Fiat 124 Spider are basically the same car underneath. As we pointed out in our first drive of the 124 Spider, the two cater to different drivers, so it can be tough to choose a favorite. FCA has made deciding between the two sports cars a little harder, as it will offer Abarth owners a free day of high-performance driving instruction with their cars. Anyone buying or leasing a new Fiat 124 Spider Abarth or a Fiat 500 Abarth will get a free, one-day class at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Phoenix. Bundling driving school with brand-new performance cars isn't unheard of – Dodge and Bondurant recently announced a similar program for the Viper – but it is quite rare for vehicles priced below $30,000. The free session will include instructor-led skid, autocross, slalom, and team rally cross activities, in addition to hot laps. While the one-day course is included for free, travel, food, and hotel expenses aren't covered. Fiat-less people can also join in on the fun buy purchasing the Abarth experience separately. Bondurant one-day classes cost at least a grand, which makes the Fiat price of $0 a good deal as long as you can get yourself there relatively cheaply. But is this enough for drivers to choose the 124 Spider Abarth over an MX-5 Club? This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time
Thu, Feb 26 2015If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer – there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer – specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery – while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. – Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.
