Nice MIATA LE first limited edition, 2000 made blacke with red interior, anti lock brakes, bilsteen shocks (R spec suspension) BBS wheels.

I bought this car from a dealer in Ohio about 3 years ago. I have driven it about 2000 miles or so in that time. this is a good looking, low milage (for the year) car. It is not a show car but is a very presentable driver, I get complements all the time. Runs drives shifts and handles as it should, really handles good!

Comes with original miata floor mats (carpets) in good shape but showing some wear (care has been used for 74000 miles). Red top boot, Red Miata tonneau cover, top is in good shape except back window has a bad spot. new back window included, but since I refuse to drive this car with the top up, I have not bothered to have it installed.

Stereo is pretty advanced for its day, has a feature that vibrates the back of the seats so you feel the rhythm.

Interior is in good to very good shape, there is very little wear along the beading on the edge of the drivers seat and a scratch (not a cut or gash) in the passenger seat, see photos.

AC worked when I got it but did not work the next summer. I tried to add freon and it seemed to get a little cooler but it is not working right. Since I dont drive with the top up, I dont use the air.

When I got it there was a leak between the top tan (plastic) of the radiator and the core. I installed a new all metal radiator and it has been great, even in the Arkansas heat.

There is a mark on the rear bumper and there are small imperfections here and there in the paint, I tried to picture the worst but it is hard to see.

Buy it now is what I would like to have for the car, these are hard to find and I have wanted one for a long time.  I am not a little to big for this car and cannot afford a car that I use less than 500 miles a year so it is for sale. The reserve is what I will take and is a fair bit less than the buy it now price so bid what you would like to own the car for and you may get lucky! Please dont ask the reserve.j

I have been on ebay since 1998 (wow almost 15 years!) never a negative feedback, dont want one now so please ask any quesitons or come look before you bid.

Car can be stored indoors for up to 30 days after auction, but I expect payment within 7 days.  Any form of paper payment will require that the car stay here at least 10 days after I deposit the check in my account.  Personal or cashier check are the same.  Wire transfer or cash upon pickup will result in faster delivery.  Paypal for $200 deposit unless you can get here to pay for the car in 3 days.

Sold as is of course. this is a very nice 20 year old car.

One more thing, Air Bag light is flashing 10 flashed, needs a module. I know of no other repairs needed (besides AC). Tires have lots of tread and all 4 match (I seldom buy a car that does not have matching tires).

Only thing I would trade for might be a nice fishing type Deck boat, must be nice, no projects ( I have enough projects already!).

Thanks for reading to the end.

Electric Miata smokes Tesla Model S at the track

Wed, Jul 9 2014

Yes, folks, you read that headline right. A souped up battery-electric version of a Mazda Miata took down a Tesla Model S on a quarter-mile drag strip. And it wasn't even close. Road Test TV was kind enough to post a video of a forest-green Miata (and its very stoked driver) doing a quarter-mile run in a rather brisk 9.27 seconds, beating the Model S sedan by a whopping 3.5 seconds in the process. And the Mazda crossed the finish line moving at 142 miles per hour, or 40 miles per hour faster than the Tesla was going when it finished the race. It's a good thing for the Tesla owner that they weren't racing for pink slips. Granted, the comparison is probably an unfair one because the Tesla was a stock, production vehicle (the P85 Performance model, but still), whereas who knows how the Miata was juiced up and how much cash it took to do the job. It's sort of like putting, say, an automotive writer against Usain Bolt because we ate the same breakfast and share 99 percent of our DNA. Still, the video does lend a certain credence to the idea that a battery-electric, super-light, rear-wheel-drive Miata would be a lot of fun, or at least a heck of lot more fun than any other Mazda out there. We're just sayin'. Check out the 100-second video below, and remember not to blink. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.

2014 Mazda6 i Sport

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

In an automotive landscape dominated by platform sharing, technology exchange and any number of other cross-fertilization/cost-saving/amortization exercises, it's actually pretty rare that we get to drive a new car that is as "all-new" as this, the 2014 Mazda6. With brand-spanking new Skyactiv architecture throughout - engine, transmission, body and chassis all included - this 6 represents a new era of flexible production and cutting edge running gear for the happily lithe car company.
Our own Jonathon Ramsey did a cracking job of running the Mazda6 through its First Drive paces a few months ago, and sufficiently impressed upon us just how good looking a car this is for the midsize sedan segment. Suffice it to say, now, then, that this is easily the most interesting (and quite possibly the most beautiful) midsize sedan in the segment today. However, as Mr. Ramsey reviewed a fully contented example of the 6 - one equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission - we took advantage of Mazda's North American launch event of the car to suss out the base Mazda6 i Sport, complete with its six-speed Skyactiv manual gearbox. This may not shock you, but the stripper's pretty good, too.

2017 Mazda CX-9 Prototype First Drive

Tue, Nov 24 2015

If you read our coverage from last week's Los Angeles Auto Show, you'll note that we were extremely fond of the new Mazda CX-9. We like the look of the thing, inside and out, and it promises to be the best-driving entry in the three-row crossover class. We agree wholeheartedly with that claim. You see, we already drove it. Full disclosure: Our test of the camouflaged CX-9 prototype you see here was short, and while we were able to get a good handle on the CX-9's basic driving dynamics, it'll take more than a 30-mile session around the outskirts of LA to uncover the finer details. What's more, these vehicles are not production ready. In fact, according to our handlers at Mazda, the CUV we tested was actually at the stage before pre-production – so basically, a pre-pre-production car. That said, all the details about the engine, transmission, suspension, and steering are "largely final." As you can see in the gallery, the cars we tested were heavily camouflaged both inside and out. As for styling, we love it – see the undisguised pictures from the LA show for more views. And as for inside, we can say leather seats of our Grand Touring model were comfortable and supportive, and the smallish steering wheel felt natural in the hand. Even in pre-pre-production state, the CX-9 was impressively quiet. An extra 53 pounds of under-floor sound deadening, thicker windows, and active noise cancellation all contribute to what Mazda claims will be "among the quietest vehicles in its class." It's worth noting that the good sounds, like the throaty, whooshy noises of the turbocharged engine, found their way into the cabin just fine. The 2.5-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine – Mazda's first force-induced Skyactiv engine – is an excellent piece. The 2.5-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine – Mazda's first force-induced Skyactiv engine – is an excellent piece. It uses a variable geometry turbocharger, which the company calls a Dynamic Pressure Turbo. Here's how Mazda explains it: Imagine a normal garden hose. Put your thumb over the nozzle, and the force of the water increases dramatically. That's the DPT at low rpms. It features three small exhaust ports to direct exhaust gases into the turbo, making for 17.4 quick-spooling PSI at low rpms. As the revs climb, a flow control valve opens up, redirecting the gases to a trio of larger ports – removing your thumb from the hose, if you will – and keeping the boost up.
