Great 1991 Mazda Miata M-5 for sale. It is a clean title, has always
passed smog, and has had no accidents.
This car does run great the way it is but it was intend as a project car for me I just never got the time so this would be great for someone who is looking for a project car. The car has 173564 org miles but the odometer is from a different car because the old one stopped working. I recently had a new 1.6L motor installed, professional install. It runs strong and doesn't over heat. It has power windows that work. Paint isn't the best but is great for someone who is interested in repainting it. I have a full set of brakes for the car for sale as well as a lot of other extra parts for the miata if interested in just ask. I need to sell it because I got another car and I don't have room for it anymore. Pink slip in hand. If you have any questions, want more information and/or pictures, or just any offers feels free to email me through ebay or stargirl2848@yahoo.com *Please note: I do have this car for sale on multiple website with mutliple interetsed buyer, I reserve the right to end this post at anytime and/or deny your sale at anytime * The good: Brakes are still good new motor with 30k on it new oem clutch new oem flywheel new spark plugs new gaskets new belts and water pump tires are at 60% The not so good: few dents on the body nothing to major rip in soft top rips on drivers seat no radio but i have the one that came in there tags are expired but all fees are paid and up to date just needs smog (will pass smog) A/C doesn't work |

Mazda3 sales off to rocky start despite massive critical acclaim
Tue, 18 Mar 2014Like just about every other auto publication we've seen, we loved the way the Mazda3 drove when we reviewed it a few months ago, but those glowing reviews apparently aren't helping its sales. The new compact may be falling victim to a sales war between the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, with the newcomer getting squeezed out by those with more established names and bigger marketing budgets.
According to Automotive News, Mazda3 sales have fallen every month since last August, and its sales are down 27 percent in the first two months of 2014. It certainly isn't helping that the entire compact segment is down five percent this year as well.
The biggest problem for the new model seems to be its price compared to rivals. Mazda is not offering the incentives that are on the hood of competitors. With the previous generation, the company offered more than $2,700 on the hood to move them out, but the current model only carries about $1,233 in markdowns, according to AN.
Fiat reconsidering Mazda-based Alfa Romeo roadster? [w/poll]
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Alfa giveth and Alfa taketh away. With apologies to Job (he has gone through a lot, after all), that's how things are looking at the Italian automaker - whether it's the promise of new products or its impending return to the North American market. But it's especially true when it comes to new roadsters.
While Alfa Romeo is expected to unveil the 4C Spider at the Geneva Motor Show this week, reports are now suggesting that its other roadster project is being called into question. That project is a joint venture between Fiat and Mazda, which was set to produce a version of its next MX-5 Miata as an Alfa Romeo, and was even changing the design to accommodate Alfa's requirements.
Now it appears, however, that the whole project in doubt. The problem seems to stem from Sergio Marchionne's pronouncements that, as long as he's in charge, there won't be an Alfa Romeo built outside of Italy.
White House clears way for NHTSA to mandate vehicle black boxes
Fri, 07 Dec 2012At present, over 90 percent of all new vehicles sold in the United States today are equipped with event data recorders, more commonly known as black boxes. If the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gets its way, that already high figure will swell to a full 100 percent in short order.
Such automotive black boxes have been in existence since the 1990s, and all current Ford, General Motors, Mazda and Toyota vehicles are so equipped. NHTSA has been attempting to make these data recorders mandatory for automakers, and according to The Detroit News, the White House Office of Management Budget has just finished reviewing the proposal, clearing the way. Now NHTSA is expected to draft new legislation to make the boxes a requirement.
One problem with current black boxes is that there's no set of standards for automakers to follow when creating what bits of data are recorded, and for how long or in what format it is stored. In other words, one automaker's box is probably not compatible with its competitors.
