Up for sale is my 1995 Mitsubishi Spyder VR4 with 56,500 miles.
Vehicle History
I purchased vehicle 2 years ago and drove 2,300 miles on an awsome trip down I10 from Arizona to Florida. The auto was owned by a gentleman in his 60's, and I am in my 50's. It appears the vehicle has spent most of its life in the low humidity of Arizona. Currently it is in a dehumidified garage in Florida. Of the 56,500 miles, I have put on 14,000 in the last two years. The car has no damage history. The unique aspect of this vehicle is it's low milage coupled with being a daily driver over the past two years. Recently I have found and purchased a 1997 VR4 with 28,500 miles locally. Being the 1997 VR4 makes 3 3000gt's at the house, thought it might be a good idea to skinny down to two.
Vehicle Condition
Exterior The pictures taken we on 2/25/2013 and tell the story. Most of the paint is original paint and although in near pristine condition, a close inspection will reveal scratches and some minor imperfections. I had the trunk lid and convertible top repainted as the clear coat was showing its age. The brand new paint and old look identical.
Intererior This is the origianl interior. The seats have some marks, as you can see in the picture, less than I would expect with a car of this age/miles. Suprisingly the leading edge of the drivers seat (as you enter from the door) do not have the typical wear marks.
Mechanical "Bone Stock" All maintenance is up to and ahead of date. A full 60,000 mile maintenance is complete, including but not limited to timing belt, water pump, transmission inspection and flush, transfer case inspection, differential inspection. New tires at 48,500 miles and the VR4 rims were cleaned and resealed so the tires will hold their air The tires appear to have 75% of its tread left. Every button switch light system works on this car (well except one button) The radio has two volume buttons one on the steering wheel and one twist on/off button on the face of the radio. The on off part works, but the twist part does change the volume, just never sure to what. The steering wheel buttons work fine. In 1995 and 1996 the radio has an AUX input which will accept Ipods/phone outputs. Turbos sing like they should, and are original just like the rest of the car. The trick to keeping your turbos happy and healthy is to allow the engine to cool (idle) before shut down. The top works perfect. Both hydrolic pumps which power the trunk and retractible hard top have had a complete flush and fresh hydrolic oil in July of 2012. The only modification that has been done to this vehicle is the stock air cleaner has been replaced with a K&N air cleaner - Original air cleaner comes with car.
Pro's & Con's
Pro
The vehicle had an extremly limited production run in 1995/1996 consequntly few are available. Take into account this vehicle is original with low miles makes it a collectors car. The Spyders (turbos and NA too) have been showing some appreciation in value on the market over the past few years.
This car gets phographed every 2000 miles or so (that I am aware of). This is the only 3000GT (of the 4 I have owned) which gets photographed. It is a conversation piece wherever you go. You will be asked questions about it!
Currently in service as a daily driver, ready to go cross county
Low miles, Original, Mechanicaly up to date, No damage history, Never modded (except K&N air filter) - Original comes with the car for turning back to 100% stock.
Stored in low humity Arizona and a dehumidified garage, extremly rust free undercarrige.
ESC feature - Tour and Sport Suspension option - on some 95's and not on others, this one has it.
Con's
Original paint and interior, has signs of ware to be expected with a vehicle of this age and miles.
Reserve price will not be disclosed
This vehicle will only be offered on E bay, and will not be sold early. Please bid what you can afford and what you feel the car is worth.

Next-generation Maserati Gran Turismo, Gran Cabrio confirmed
Thu, Aug 1 2019The Maserati Gran Turismo will return for a second generation after all. The Italian automaker confirmed the on-again, off-again grand tourer as it presented its financial results to investors. The Gran Turismo coupe and its convertible offshoot, the Gran Cabrio, were both included in the five-year plan parent company Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) presented in 2014. Their future began looking grim when they disappeared from the company's road map, according to Motor Authority. We know Maserati is busily working on another, more hardcore sports car inspired by the Alfieri concept, and odds are insiders worried releasing two similar models in the same price bracket would confuse buyers and torpedo both nameplates. The latest from Maserati's Modena, Italy, headquarters is that development of the next Gran Turismo is back on track. Additional details about the car remain under wraps, but Maserati's presentation noted every car it releases beginning in 2020 will be offered with a battery-electric powertrain. The current, 12-year old Gran Turismo (pictured) has been V8-only for its entire career, and we wouldn't be surprised to see the eight-cylinder return as an alternative powertrain for buyers who don't want an EV. Maserati has previously made it clear that it won't commit to an all-electric future. Maserati's product master plan pegs the next Gran Turismo's debut date at some point in 2021. Keep in mind the company isn't exactly known for timeliness. Even if we see the model during 2021, it's unlikely to appear in American showrooms until 2022 at the earliest. The Gran Cabrio will arrive the following year, so it will likely launch as a 2023 model. That means the current Gran Turismo and Gran Cabrio will likely remain in the firm's lineup for two or three additional years. The presentation reaffirms Maserati's commitment to finally becoming a full-line automaker. In 2020, it will give the Levante, the Ghibli, and the Quattroporte a mid-cycle refresh, and it will release the aforementioned production version of the Alfieri concept introduced way back in 2014. Then 2021 will bring a smaller SUV, and a convertible variant of the yet-unnamed Alfieri-inspired model. Finally, the Quattroporte and the Levante will be replaced in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Maserati will need to keep the Gran Turismo and the Alfieri in two distinctly separate segments.
Maserati's Levante crossover gets cold weather test
Sun, Jan 18 2015With winter in full effect in the northern hemisphere, automotive engineers from across the globe have flocked to the fjords and towns of northern Sweden for winter testing. That includes teams from Maserati, who are pitting a mule for the Levante SUV against the snow, ice and bitterly cold temperatures. The last time we saw a Levante mule was in August. That vehicle, though, was riding dirty without any license plates, meaning it's impossible to know if the vehicle shown above is one and the same. Both sport an eye-catching shade of blue beneath their shape-distorting camo, and the wheels and heightened roof are the same too. Beyond that, there's not a lot to see that's new here. Maserati's decision to move testing north to Sweden while still using a mule is an interesting one. As our spies point out, considering how long this particular vehicle has been testing, we'd imagine it's only a matter of time before we see a Levante testing with a more production-based body, rather than the Ghibli shell that's been fitted here. Take a look at the spy photos of the new Levante, available up top.
2025 Maserati GranCabrio Folgore is the third flash of Modena lightning
Tue, Apr 16 2024The debut of the 2025 Maserati GranCabrio Folgore completes Maserati's initial trio of battery-electric offerings, the Atlantis High powertrain in this car complementing the Nettuno V6-powered GranCabrio Trofeo that Maserati debuted in February. The first of its kind, the GranCabrio Folgore establishes the six-figure, four-seat, battery-electric luxury grand tourer convertible segment until something like an electric Porsche 911, Mercedes-AMG SL, or reborn Jaguar XKR comes along. At speeds of up to 31 miles per hour, the roof available in five colors folds in 14 seconds and raises in 16. With the top up, trunk space shrinks from the coupe's 9.5 cubic feet to 6.1 cubic feet. Stow the top, there are 4.6 cubic feet available for soft-sided bags. Neck warmers built into the seats come standard, a wind blocker lives on the options menu. Built around the same 92.5-kWh (83 kWh usable) T-shaped battery and three-motor drivetrain as on the GranTurismo Folgore, maximum output differs from actual output: Each motor can produce 402 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, but the full 1,206 hp needs to wait on stouter battery options. With today's chemistry, Maserati engineers decided to restrain combined output to 751 hp and 996 lb-ft., with even that figure only unlocked in Corsa mode with launch control. The catapult shot to 60 miles per hour is estimated at about 2.7 seconds; top speed is 180 miles per hour. Shoppers will get a choice of six wheels in staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear sizes. Two of those wheel designs are aero-focused and wrapped in EV-specific rubber. Maserati gave a WLTP estimated range of up to 278 miles on a charge, an EPA-rated estimate of 250 miles, which would be on the aero options. Plugging into a DC fast charger capable of 270 kW is said to replenish the battery from 20% to 80% in 18 minutes, and add 62 miles in five minutes. The interior's a mix of reborn Maserati and the special touches applied to the hardtop electric sibling, meaning the quartet of digital displays (gauge cluster, infotainment, HVAC, and clock), 18-way front seats in recycled Econyl or leather, 16-speaker Sonus Faber audio, and carbon fiber trim inlaid with copper filaments. The automaker's also giving owners a wallbox with purchase, and has hooked up a single-pay system to use a range of chargers from different infrastructure companies. Order books open in August, and Maserati anticipates deliveries beginning in Q4 this year.
