I hate to do it but it has come time for me to sell my toy. I have decided to sell my clean 2 owner 2003 Spyder GT convertible. The history of this car started when it was purchase by the original owner from the now former Hayes Mitsubishi rite outside of Nashville, Tn. That's where this car stayed until I purchased it in 2011. The original owner was a women (in her 50's) who never drove the thing. This eclipse was never abused by me or its previous owner. It was only driven sparingly in the spring and fall months and was not driven in the summer due to the very warm summer months in Nashville, Tn. This car is very clean and I can only spot one cosmetic flaw which is a crease on the right rear bumper near the corner, this looks like it was caused by a shopping cart hitting it. Again this is nothing major and I have provided pictures of this as well. I have driven this car sparingly and have always had it garage kept.  The body is in great shape as you can imagine for a 10 year old car with 13K miles, the only issue is the right rear bumper like I stated above. Top is in great shape with no rips or stains. This car has no rust, as it was never driven in the salt or snow. In fact it was only driven in the rain two times. I would not hesitate to drive this anywhere in the country. This would make a great summer car for someone who wants to own a convertible at a reasonable price. Please email me with any questions. Serious buyers only please. Funds must clear before I release the title and car.  I require a $300 non-refundable deposit via Paypal with 48 hours of the auction close in order to hold the car. The remaining balance is to be paid within 7 days of the auction close via certified bank check or wired funds. Again I repeat the car will not be released until the funds have cleared. One thing before I forget, the pictures show 12,8XX miles, the picture was taken last week and the current mileage is 13,2XX Also please note that in one of the pictures it looks like there are spots on the trunk deck, this only looks this way because of the sun glare.

Maserati to halt production for one week in November

Wed, Oct 7 2015

When it comes to selling cars, exciting new product is king. This is a fact Maserati is learning the hard way as it struggles to hit aggressive internal sales targets set by its Fiat Chrysler Automobiles ownership. And now a report from Reuters indicates that Maserati will be forced to shutter its Grugliasco plant near Turin, Italy, for one full week in November. Rewind back to 2013 and things were looking really good at Maserati. The brand had rolled out a new version of its four-door flagship, the Quattroporte, a smaller and somewhat more accessible sedan one rung below in the form of the Ghibli, and a new line of twin-turbo engines in both six- and eight-cylinder guises. A sales spike seemed imminent. That's exactly what appeared in 2014, as Maserati topped our end-of-the-year sales chart with a monster 171-percent gain in the United States when compared to the year prior. Like we said, product is king. The first signs of trouble brewing at Maserati rose into our consciousness in January of 2015, as, here in the States, the Italian brand took a monster nosedive in sales. That month's 20-percent decline would prove no anomaly, as February's 43-percent decline would attest. For the next few months of 2015, sales remained basically flat as allegations of shady sales accounting practices hit the news. In September, the last month sales data is available, the brand saw a drop of nearly 34 percent. How does Maserati expect to fix its lagging sales? Exciting new product, naturally, this time in the form of the long-awaited, highly anticipated Levante crossover. While Maserati's history is full of grand-touring coupes and four-door sedans, CUVs are all the rage right now. In other words, as long as the Levante isn't terrible, it really ought to bring the brand's sales back to 2014 levels. Following the Levante, Maserati has promised a new coupe based on the design of the Alfieri Concept it showed off at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, and that will surely bring another hefty dose foot traffic into showrooms as the next product wave. FCA is banking on turning Maserati from a niche player into a meaningful contributor to its sales chart. If that plan has any hope of turning into a reality, it's clearly going to take a lot more shiny new product to make it happen. Here's hoping the Levante is the next positive step in that direction. Maserati introduces Ghibli to Americans in Super Bowl spot

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles aired three commercials during this year's Super Bowl, and the first spot was given to Maserarti during the first quarter of the big game. The 90-second ad was used by Maserati to introduce its new midsize Ghibli luxury sports sedan to a very captive American audience.
Called Strike, the Ghibli commercial tells the familiar tale of the little guy who waits around for the world's giants to let down their guard. Scroll down to watch the spot yourself and let us know if it lives up to the high bar that Chrysler brands have set for themselves in past Super Bowls.

Leak confirms Maserati product plans, five new models

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

It isn't a secret that Maserati is planning a product expansion in an attempt sell 50,000 units annually by 2015, but the automaker hasn't officially announced just how it plans to do so. Yes, we've seen (and driven) the 2014 Quattroporte, checked out spy shots for the smaller Ghibli sedan and Maserati even confirmed the Levante name for its SUV, but a leaked document reported by CarScoop could shed some light on how the Italian automaker intends on carrying out its rapid growth.
According to the image, the new Ghibli and Levante models will considerably lower the entry price point for the Maserati brand with the sedan having a price range from around $72,000 up to just over the $100,000 mark, with the SUV starting at close to $80,000 and topping out at almost $200,000. It also looks like the GranTurismo and GranCabrio will be getting redesigned in the near future at which point the new Gran Sport model will be added to the mix - otherwise known as the which often-rumored sports car with which Maserati will do battle with the Porsche 911.
