1995 Mitsubishi 3000gt Vr4 Spyder Convertible Red (in Primo Condition) on 2040-cars
Louisville, Kentucky, United States
History: This is one of the very few of it's kind left in this condition. I am the 2nd owner. The Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Spyder Convertible is one of the rarest sports cars ever produced. For a full history on the vehicle, please go to : www.3000gtspyderregistry.com or www.frankpearson.com . On these sites, go to the "registry", my car is number 808 and VR4 number 466. There are probably less than a few hundred of these vehicles left in the world, a true collector's car. This one is in that condition, in every way. This particular vehicle is all Origional and has not been "customized" or modified in any way.The current mileage is 71,843 on the day I took the photos for this add on 5/20/14. As the second owner I have barely driven it. The vehicle has been garage kept with a dust cover on it. The first owner did the same. This vehicle also come from a smoke free environment (Both Owners).
Condition: I will describe this vehicle, but there is NO compareison for seeing it in person. To truely appreciate the condition this specimen, you gotta see it! The body has absolutely no damage anywhere (accept for a small crack in the passenger side mirror case, (which is fixable). The paint is in excellent condition all over. There may be one or two small stone chips on the front, which is normal but low for a car of this age. The engine is strong and runs smoothly as it should. The turbo works flawlessly and has been well maintained. The AWD & All wheel stearing work as a new vehicle. The manual transmission is solid, but not quite as smooth as a brand new 2015 sports car. THE ROOF opens and closes exactly as it should, smooth with NO problems. EVERY eletronic option on this car is in perfect working order: Cruise control, Heater & A/C, stereo, cassette player, CD player (which comes with 3 not 1 CD, 6 Disc magazines), eletric seat adjustment and lumbar support, All lights (Front and rear exterior, dash and insturment pannels, all interior and door lights), Cigarette lighter, etc, etc. Nothing doesn't work. The telescoping antenna works as a new car's does and it is straight, not bent or damaged as you will see on so may other Spyders. The engine compartment is clean. The leather seats are in very good condition. This was one of the first things I looked at when I bought the car. Many 3000GT's leather are very worn. The carpet is in the same condition (accept for a small stain near the passenger side, it can be cleaned, I just never tried. The 60K mile tune up (including a new timing belt and new Mitsubishi battery were all done by the previous owner). The Michelin racing tires are all in almost new condition, they may have 2800 miles on them. The chrome wheels are also in great condition. The factory alarm system works exactly as it should and the first owner had a "LoJack" theft/recovery system installed as well. This can help with insurance rates, a plus. I also have all the origional paperwork & keys (as seen in the photo), both keyless entry fobs work.
Shipping & Payment: The Buyer is responsible for all licensing, title transfer fees and applicable taxes for the transaction (as I was when I bought it). A deposit of $500.00 with in 48 hours of the auctions close is required. Full payment is required with in 7 days of the close of the sale/auction and prior too the transfer of title to the buyer's name. Buyer will be responsible for the pick up or shipping of the vehicle. If you have any questions or if I have missed something, please feel free to call me between the hours of 9am- 9pm (Eastern time), 7 days a week at (502)-551-1229, ask for Mark. FOR SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. |

Veneno Roadster, One:1, One-77, LaFerrari, P1, Veyron headline 25-car Bonham's auction
Mon, Jun 24 2019Bonhams is holding a no-reserve auction in fall 2019 that includes some of the most valuable and sought-after supercars of the past decade. The lot of 25 beautiful collector items includes a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, a Koenigsegg One:1, an Aston Martin One-77, a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren P1, and a Bugatti Veyron. The collection, which was seized from a corrupt politician from Equatorial Guinea, is valued at roughly $13 million. If selling off future classics that are still in their infancy as collector items seems strange, it's because this is not a straightforward situation. These cars will be sold off by the State of Geneva, not a person. The collection was previously owned by the vice president of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang, but the cars were seized when he was placed under investigation for money laundering and unfair management of public interests. These 25 cars, which were located in Geneva, were first sequestered in fall 2016. A trial court ordered them sold off, and the money earned from the sales would be invested in social programs that benefit Equatorial Guinea. And so, Equatorial Guinea is about to see an influx of cash, as every vehicle is valued in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars. The rarest might be the Koenigsegg One:1. One of only six remaining, it has 371 miles on the dial, and is valued at roughly $1.8 million. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, one of nine in the world, is a close second. It has 202 miles logged, and is valued at about $5.1 million. The Aston Martin One-77 is another rare bird. It is example No. 35 of 77, holds a 7.3-liter V12 engine, and is valued at about $1.4 million. A McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and Bugatti Veyron 16.4 round out the top of the list. The remaining cars are not fully detailed, but they include examples from Mercedes-Maybach, Bentley, Maserati and Porsche. The auction will take place on Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Bonmont Golf & Country Club near Lake Geneva. For more photos and information, visit Bonhams.
Fiat/PSA's dominance in small vans hangs up EU's merger approval
Mon, Jun 8 2020BRUSSELS — EU antitrust regulators are concerned about Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot / PSA's combined high market share in small vans and may require concessions to clear their $50 billion merger, people familiar with the matter said. The companies, which are seeking to create the world's fourth biggest carmaker, were told of the European Commission's concerns last week. If Fiat and PSA fail to dispel the European Commission's doubts in the next two days and subsequently decline to offer concessions by Wednesday, the deadline for doing so, the deal would face a four-month-long investigation. The EU competition enforcer, which has set a June 17 deadline for its preliminary review, declined to comment. Fiat was not immediately available for comment while PSA had no immediate comment. Hiving off overlapping businesses, usually a regulatory demand to ensure more competition, could prove tricky for the carmakers because of the technicalities. Fiat and PSA are looking to merge to help offset slowing demand and shoulder the cost of making cleaner vehicles to meet tougher emissions regulations. The deal puts under one roof the Italian carmaker's brands such as Fiat, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Maserati and the French company's Peugeot, Opel and DS. This is our clearest look yet at the next Maserati Quattroporte
Fri, 02 Nov 2012The best look we've had at the next Maserati Quattroporte so far was found in patent drawings that could have substituted for a whole lot of other cars. But seen here is a more useful glimpse, courtesy of someone on the lookout in Italy who caught a prototype in a skin-hugging wrap.
Maserati has apparently gone with the Charles Eames philosophy on the redesign: "The details are not details. They make the design." The overall line is familiar - not such a bad thing even on this 10-year-old sedan - but the detailing appears to have been refined and made sleeker. The taillights themselves should make for an especially interesting feature if the camo'ed car can be trusted.
The next Quattroporte is predicted to be roughly 450 pounds lighter than the current car, and underhood grunt is expected to come from a 520-horsepower, 5.2-liter turbocharged V8 at launch, followed by a 420-hp, supercharged V6 supplied by Ferrari, both working through an eight-speed ZF transmission.
