2009 - Maserati Quattroporte on 2040-cars
Sparks, Nevada, United States
I am not a sales guy and will not pretend that I am. I promise to not use cliche and overused sales terms when describing the car. Here's the honest truth on this Maserati: I ordered this particular Quattroporte to spec direct from Maserati back in 2008. As mentioned above, I will not use terms like "babied" or "tender loving highway miles" because we all know that is generally a lie. If a person has to go out of their way to point something that should be obvious... they are probably full of it. Please let the photos do the explaining as to how well the car was taken care of. I never took it through a Chevron save $3 on an Ultimate car wash if you buy some fuel first and let our minimum wage high school kid take our dusty shop broom and test the thickness of your car's clear coat sorta place. Instead, our company has an agreement with a local mobile car washing business who happily stops by the office once a week to wash cars. That's how it was detailed from day one until just yesterday when they washed it for a final time. All maintenance work was completed at Maserati of Tampa, FL and Maserati here in Las Veags. Quite frankly, driving fast absolutely terrifies me. If I wanted to drive like a maniac I would've invested in a Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Corvette or Viper... I will say this car does have a Stage 2 ECU software upgrade that yields an extra 25 horsepower. My business partner's had a local performance shop install a custom Formula Dynamics tune while I was out of town on vacation. They thought I would notice the difference and call them to ask what they had done to the Maserati! In reality they waited a week until approaching me to see if I noticed a difference. I did not because you actually have to mash the throttle to experience the difference which is something I just do not do. After they mentioned the upgrade to me I tried it out and yes there is a noticeable difference! The car spent half of it's life in Tampa, FL where it's nice and warm (no snow, salt, sandy roads, etc) and the 2nd portion here in even sunnier Las Vegas. The paint still looks great for a 5 year old car with 49k on it. Anyone who invests a little time in learning about Maserati knows the one-of-a-kind craftsmanship that goes into each and every vehicle. Even to this day (5 years after pulling the plastic wrapping off the seats and steering wheel) as I sit in the drivers seat I do not feel like I'm in an automobile. This car is something special. The added roar and growl from the engine is not a necessity rather an added bonus for guys like me Rawrr!!! hehe Please do not hesitate to message me with any questions you may have. The car is available to inspect for yourself if you are in the local area. Good luck!!! *I have clear title in hand *100% Clean CarFax report *Both key fobs are included -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Feb-27-14 at 18:36:06 PST, seller added the following information: I am not a sales guy and will not pretend that I am. 2017 Maserati Quattroporte First Drive
Fri, Jul 15 2016When German companies launch a new luxury sedan, they chat about more power, better economy, and leveraged links to Silicon Valley's hottest microchip and graphics powerhouses. It's not like that in Italy. The Mediterranean peninsula only has one authentic maker of luxury sedans, and cutting-edge consumer technology has never been Maserati's forte. Beautiful cars, sure. Compelling engine notes, yup. The prioritization of handling emotion above cornering speed and even ride quality? Absolutely. Three years ago Maserati thought that blueprint would be enough for its all-new Quattroporte. It wasn't. For starters, the car wasn't beautiful. Compared to the filigreed purity of its predecessor, the QP (as they call it in Modena) looked awkward, even clunky. A big part of that was the sheer scope of the 124.8-inch wheelbase, which made it nigh impossible to deliver the proportional elegance and unfussed panel pressings of its predecessor. Still, the added length provided rear legroom that takes surveyors to measure. More important than what it had (and whether that was good or bad) was what it didn't have. There was no button on the remote to open the trunk, no self-parking system, no reversing camera, definitely no 360-degree camera setup, no radar cruise control, no semi-autonomous steering, and no modern navigation or infotainment. By far the biggest Maserati (at 207.2 inches, it dwarfs most of the standard versions of almost any sedan, anywhere), the Quattroporte now has some small visual changes and enough driver-assistance stuff (like radar cruise) to bring it up to German levels. At least, that's the on-paper argument. Not one of the 2017 model's visual upgrades is metallic. The changes include a new plastic grille (inspired by the design language of the Alfieri concept car), updated lights, and some very subtle differences between the sportier GranSport and the more luxurious GranLusso versions, two new trim packages. The aero guys have been busy, too, with a flat floor and a new Air Shutter that lowers drag by 10 percent and by itself improves the fuel consumption by three percent (anything else is down to stop-start). In a tech, tech, tech world, the Quattroporte is the anti-Tesla. There are no plans to give the big boy any form of hybrid power much less a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Maserati's engineers look at you funny for mentioning hydrogen fuel cell or battery-electric power.
Limited woven-leather Maserati Quattroporte and Levante headed to Monterey
Thu, Aug 8 2019At the New York Auto Show, Maserati unveiled two luxury novelties. One was the carmaker's new One of One customization program with the tagline, "Anything is possible." The other was the new Pelletessuta woven leather interior developed in conjunction with Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna. Calling it a first for the automotive industry, Maserati will offer the lightweight Napa fabric in 100 special-edition vehicles coming to North America next year. During Monterey Car Week, customers will get the opportunity to order one of the 50 custom editions of the 2020 model year Quattroporte S Q4 GranLusso, and 50 custom editions of the Levante S GranSport. It should be known that the standard GranLusso trim of the Quattroporte comes with a silk and leather interior by Zegna, so the Pelletessuta version is a cut above. The sedan wears custom Blu Sofisticato metallic paint over a dark brown Pelletessuta interior. The brake calipers are also dressed in blue, and a Zegna Edition badge adorns the cabin. Maserati hasn't mentioned pricing, but the regular sedan starts at $122,775, so that's there to start adding a premium. The Levante gets an exclusive Bronzo tri-coat outside over a Black Pelletessuta leather interior with custom Radica wood trim. Instead of the usual 20-inch wheels on, the limited edition gets 21-inch Helios rims hiding black brake calipers. The standard SUV starts at $94,475, we wouldn't be surprised if one of these 50 examples surpassed six figures before options. The Italian camaker says these configurations will not go on sale again.
