2006 Maserati Gransport Roadster Convertible 4.2l on 2040-cars

2006 MASERATI GRANSPORT
As many of you may know this car is the best of the Gransport series. Pros: An exotic car that can actually be driven! The sound of the engine and handling is amazing. The Farrari F1 racing transmission is awesome. Cons: Being an exotic also means Maserati service. There are no "do it yourself" repair manuals. The stereo is crap, but it is meant for Europe. There is NO spare tire. Overall : The perfect sports car. No "gadgets". Just a great engine in a beautiful car. If you drive one, you will want one. Maserati and Ferrari have pulled out all of the stops on designing this car. It has a Ferrari engine (from the 360) and a Ferrari F1 racing transaxle/transmission. But it is more than just a racing engine in a small car. It is easy to drive and looks great. And you won't pass another one on the street, or loose it in the parking lot. Did I mention that it goes 180+ mph? Call me with questions. 720 987 4199 |

Maserati marks centenary with 50,000th unit at Grugliasco
Sat, Dec 6 2014Maserati is celebrating its centenary this year, but if that wasn't enough of a milestone, the Trident marque has reached another, completing its 50,000th unit at its plant in Grugliasco. Whether 50,000 seems like a lot or a little depends largely on your perspective. Toyota, for example, sold over three times that many cars in the United States alone just this past month. But for Maserati and the Grugliasco plant, it's an awful lot. The plant was acquired not long ago from the failed Bertone coachbuilding operation to bolster the principal site in Modena. It just kicked off production barely two years ago in January 2013 and handles assembly of the Quattroporte and Ghibli – Maserati's top sellers, but hardly what you'd call "volume models" by any means. The landmark 50,000th vehicle was a Quattroporte S Q4 in dark grey with a red and black interior, bound for the US market that's reaching new sales records for the ambitious Mondenese automaker.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles: The next five years

2015 Maserati GranTurismo to show new styling language for brand
Tue, 25 Jun 2013Despite the fact that Maserati has yet to officially mention the next generation of its grand touring lineup, it seems like we know plenty of details about the upcoming range of Maserati coupes and convertibles. First we heard that the GranTurismo line would be growing to include three models, then we heard that new, smaller two-seater (possibly named Gran Sport) could be here by 2016 and, most recently, reports indicated that the GranTurismo's successor will feature more compact dimensions to better take on the Porsche 911.
Now Edmunds is reporting that the 2015 GranTurismo will mark a major evolution in the design language for the Italian automaker, while the Levante SUV will get the current styling cues found on the 2014 Quattroporte and 2014 Ghibli. The article also says that Maserati is planning to offer its models with a wider range of available colors and that it will introduce new limited-edition models as well all in hopes of selling 50,000 units globally by 2015.
