Built by Rich Gebhardt, this 1970 Cuda Gran Sport features a very high performance 383 big block, obviously far from stock. The motor makes around 700HP and was built using all the best parts of the day. The semi-radical, high-lift (580), long duration cam has a great lope. Compression in all 8 cylinders is perfect. The Holley 750 Carbs were recently tuned and the motor runs absolutely flawlessly. I recently spent weeks cleaning up and polishing everything on the motor. All new chrome bolts and nuts everywhere I could put 'em. This past week I also spent $750 on an entirely new fuel delivery system. The old system did not allow room for a hood. The 727 trans shifts tightly. It has a reverse manual valve body. The brakes work extremely well, despite the fact they are drum all the way around. All 4 tires are almost brand new. The car leaks no fluid. This pro street Cuda looks radical, but it is very street friendly and can be driven anywhere, even in commute traffic. It does not load up or overheat. The body is in great shape and is very straight, however, there are a few blemishes and imperfections. Surprisingly few for a car that was built/painted 15(?) years ago. The paint shines with a nice gloss. Cut and buffed. Very few small chips on edges that can easily be touched up and buffed down. No doubt there is a fingernail polish this exact color (Hemi Orange) that would do the job well. The interior is good. Door panels are original and in good shape. The seats are covered in black crushed velvet and are in great shape. The headliner has the original overhead console in great shape. Floor console is also excellent with the original shifter. Original dash, guages, steering wheel, carpet, headliner, seats, seat belts and all. The car will come with a new black carpet set (front and rear). Front suspension is stock. This is a balkhalf car. Rear end is coil-over, 4-link with the original Mopar 8 3/4, narrowed. I am unsure of the gears but they feel like 3:55's. The car has polished aluminum work on the balkhalf in the interior and in the trunk. Very sharp! Top-notch workmanship by Rich Gebhardt. Fuel Cell is large. Probably 12 gallon. Polished and chromed wheelie bars. All glass in the car is excellent, chip and crack-free and, believe it or not, original. All lights, turn signals and blinkers operate as they should. Toggle switches for the fuel pump and 2 electric fans are on a guage panel and all work perfectly. The only thing this car could use is a hood. That's what I was aiming to do before I lost storage for the car. That is the reason I have to sell it. If you're looking for the ultimate Cuda and you want it supercharged, here you go. A few pumps of the gas and a tap of the key and this car starts right up, dead cold. But beware, the RPM's come up the split second you crank it, due to the blower. I mean INSTANT RPM's. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Please don't hesitate to make an offer of whatever you feel the car is worth to you. You never know, I may be motivated or in the mood to accept, depending how soon I have to remove the car from the garage. Thank you!
I will accept a $500 deposit within 48 hours of the sale. The balance MUST be paid by bank wire transfer ONLY, and must be completed within 5 days of the sale date (ebay purchase date).

2014 Maserati Quattroporte to get twin-turbo V6
Tue, 04 Dec 2012As we wait for the Detroit Auto Show to get our up-close and in-depth look at the redesigned 2014 Maserati Quattroporte, some details are just starting to emerge about the car's powertrain, but nothing is official just yet. Autocar has posted a first drive of the new Quattroporte, finally spilling the beans about what motivates this sporty and luxurious sedan.
We already knew that the 2014 Quattroporte will offer two engines - a V6 and V8 - but what we didn't know is that both engines will get a pair of turbochargers and direct injection. Previously, we speculated that the smaller V6 would be supercharged, but this 3.0-liter V6 will get turbos instead helping it produce an estimated 410 horsepower. As for the larger 3.8-liter V8, this engine is said to produce 530 horsepower (confirming our previous report) to go with 479 pound-feet of torque; performance specs for the V8 include a top speed of 191 miles per hour and a 0-60 mph time of well under five seconds.
All cars will have a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive will be optional allowing for all of the engine power sent to the rear wheel during normal driving and a full 50/50 split between front and rear axles when needed. As we suspected, the 2014 Quattroporte has grown in size to better compete with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
Rich kid uses puppy to polish Maserati as Internet howls
Thu, May 18 2017Update: The original Instagram video appears to have been removed, but the video can still be viewed at this link. One of the Rich Kids of Instagram may never attempt to perform manual labor again after the 2-3 seconds she spent using a puppy to "polish" a rare Maserati. She cast it as a joke, but the Internet wasn't laughing. Instagram user m666ya, who is said to be a young, beautiful, wealthy collector of supercars in London - or, she at least has enough access to photograph them and occasionally show herself behind the wheel of one - posted this clip of an extremely cute puppy detailing a limited-edition Maserati MC12, which sells for $1.5 million or $2 million (depending on who's doing the telling). It got picked up on the Rich Kids account two days ago: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The Maltese puppy is compliant and seems, well, maybe not in distress but probably not having the time of its life, either. And m66ya or whoever is doing the buffing keeps it exceedingly brief. Some of the reaction has been predictable. The New York Post tabloid called her "barking mad." And social-media reactions to the post were similar: "Not funny." "Animal abuse." "Disgusting." "This is just wrong." "Shame on you." "This is actually sickening." "Money can't buy you class and in your case, values." "Dogs are so loyal and only want to love and please their owner. You do not deserve any devotion of love from this innocent puppy." "Psychologists will tell you, simple abuse of animals often leads to abuse of humans in later life. Seek some help now." A few commenters defend the clip and suggest people lighten up. Some doubled down on the joke: "It's better to use a cat so you can hear your engine purr." A blogger joked you'd never actually use a dog to polish a $2 million car because dirt in its hair could scratch the paint. And one young philosopher of Instagram, whose spelling is too poor to quote him directly, makes the fair point that perhaps some people are less angry about the dog than they are jealous that these ne'er-do-wells are rich. A spokeswoman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said: "We can understand why people are concerned about this video.
2019 Maserati Levante GTS has a 550-hp Ferrari-derived V8
Thu, Jul 12 2018A V6-powered Maserati Levante just wasn't enough. At least that's what a group of engineers thought as they formed a sort of skunkworks and secretly set out to see if they could fit the Ferrari-derived V8 from the Quattroporte GTS into the Levante. Turns out they could, and after revealing their project to company honchos, were given the green light for not just one V8-powered Levante, but two. The first to be revealed was the Levante Trofeo shown at the New York Auto Show. Now we get this, the Levante GTS, which was revealed last month to journalists in Pontiac, Mich., and kept under wraps until now. It will debut in Europe at Goodwood. Although the GTS shares the same 3.8-liter V8 as the 590-horsepower Trofeo, it features a slightly less prodigious output of 550 hp with peak torque of 538 pound-feet available from 2,500 rpm to 5,000. Maserati says the GTS will hit 60 mph in 4 seconds with a top speed of 181 mph. View 8 Photos The chassis was tuned to better handle the extra power, and while the suspension shares the same components as the rest of the Levante line, the tuning was changed for the GTS and Trofeo. The Sport Skyhook adaptive damping system was also retuned, while the air springs feature six different height levels spanning a total of 3 inches from its lowest to highest position. A rear-biased all-wheel-drive system and a rear limited-slip differential are included. These mechanical updates are largely shared with the Trofeo, which differs visually and features extra luxury equipment. Outside, the GTS features a larger lower air dam, a special black-trimmed grille and 22-inch wheels. Inside, there's a full-leather interior package and carbon fiber trim. That includes the shift paddles, which are carbon fiber rather than metal. Maserati models also receive some updates for the new model year. The eight-speed ZF automatic gets a new electronic shifter. Similar in layout to BMW's (forward for R, rearward for D, push button for Park), it replaces the previous Chrysler-sourced PRND layout. It's similar to what you'd find in a current Alfa Romeo but the shifter itself is more luxurious and substantial in feel and appearance. The infotainment system has been refreshed, but remains a Chrysler Uconnect system in Italian clothing. There's also new optional "Pieno Fiore" leather for all three models, Levante, Ghibli and Quattroporte. It is available in red, black and tan.
