1966 Buick Riviera Gran Sport 425 Nailhead GS floor shift                bucket seats console

- I am selling my clean title 1966 Rivera Gran Sport ,
- rebuilt motor with less than 5,000 miles on rebuild,
- 400 trans rebuilt about 10 years ago,
- car had been repainted about 11 years ago and not done very well, body work is not very good on pass front fender body line
- the body is showing bad prep work in a few places so it is bubbling on doors and fenders and 1/4 lowers, there is battery acid that had eaten thru the DS fenderwell which is very common on these cars
- the underbody, floor pans and trunk are in excellent shape, see pics of the car on the rack, there is a little 2 inch piece of rust on underside of DS 1/4 panel -see pics
-the interior is very nice for original seats , dash , door panels etc
- am radio still works, along with the gauges= oil pressure, temp, amp meter, wipers, map light, signals,
- car still has original spare and jack set-up
-this is the single 4 barrel GS option with the "MW" coded 425
- has a homemade fan shroud but it is not correct but still functional, so I didnt want to remove it, but is definately not correct for this car
-car has the posi rearend, see pic
-GS logo on the fenders and the glove box as it should, along with correct 1966 only aluminum valve covers, and chrome air cleaner
-car runs and drives good, it does have a squeaking sound= which I think is either the brakes or the speedo cable but not positive on either just a guess
-the car runs and drives and stops, I just drove it 70 miles an hour and it floats nice, plenty of power, smooth shifting
- havent seen any leaks hitting the ground,
- has redline aftermarket tires which were an option when new
-power steering is good and easy to use,
- does now have a power seat option I added to the car but havent finished the wiring but does include the wiring and proper switch plate
- also this is a mid level optioned car has manual windows, but has rear defrost (that works), bucket seats with floor shift console, tilt wheel,
-has keys for the ignition trunk and doors but the driver door latch is picky on when you close it, sometimes it latches, other times you have to pull up on the door = but i will include a latch that works correctly
-this is a project if you want to show this car, or you can just cruise in a 1966 time capsule, you can build it as you go, or just turn the key and just drive it!!!
-This car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early due to local sale.

Thise are also matching redline tires on the passenger side but the shadow makes them look like blackwall tires.

The List #0100: Drive the Italian Alps

Tue, Jul 7 2015

The List travels to northern Italy to experience driving the Italian Alps. For this grand drive, we need a proper grand touring sports car. The Maserati Quattroporte fits the bill, with four doors, space for luggage, and all-wheel drive for those snowy mountain passes. But first our hosts make a quick stop at the Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari in Modena to take in an exhibit celebrating 100 years of Maserati. "The scenery is unbelievable," says host Patrick McIntyre. "If you're going to come all the way to Italy, rent a car and drive through [the Alps]." Join Jessi and Patrick as the check 'drive the Italian Alps' off of their list. Have an RSS feed? Incredible French barn finds could fetch over $18M [w/video]

Sat, Dec 6 2014

We all dream about taking a drive and discovering the mythical barn find of a vintage Shelby Cobra or Porsche Speedster hidden way under a sheet, totally forgotten. An upcoming auction from Artcurial in France on February 6 proves that these treasure troves still really do exist, and this might be one of the ultimate barn finds ever. Decaying away on a French estate, there was a collection of about 100 dirt-covered cars that had been undisturbed for decades, according to The Telegraph. They included all of the great European marques, like Bugatti, Porsche, Maserati, Ferrari and many more. Most of the vehicles were underneath a shed but generally exposed to the elements; however, two very special sports cars were hidden away in a garage (pictured above). In there was a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider with covered headlights. It was one of just 37 made and thought to be lost. Beside the Ferrari was a 1956 Maserati A6G Gran Sport Frua. The collection belonged to Roger Baillon, a French transport magnate, according to Artcurial. He amassed this wonderful collection, but when his business fell on hard times in the '70s, Baillon sold part of the group off. These were the ones he kept, but they eventually went forgotten. Artcurial thinks that only 60 of the cars are actually in salable condition, and they cross the block during the Retromobile Salon in February. The auctioneers believe the Ferrari could sell for as much as 12 million euros (14.74 million) and the Maserati for 1.2 million euros ($1.5 million). Check out the gallery to glimpse the breadth of classics in this collection. Be sure to scroll down for a must-watch, gut-wrenching, patina-laden video showing off the collection and for Artcurial's press release about the sale. This content is hosted by a third party. Ferrari-Maserati dealer folds in Las Vegas casino

Thu, Oct 22 2015

The ten-year-old Penske Ferrari Maserati dealership located inside the Wynn resort in Las Vegas, where non-Ferrari owners had to pay $10 to walk among the cars, is closed. Word is that the Ferrari franchise is moving to Towbin Motorcars, which you'll know for being the home of the former "King of Cars," and more recently where Floyd "Money" Mayweather has bought 100 cars, including three Bugatti Veyrons. According to Ferrari Chat almost the entire Penske-Wynn staff will make the move, including the highly regarded service department. This being Las Vegas there are, naturally, various theories about why the only Ferrari franchise in the state of Nevada is leaving one of the state's marquee locations. We got a tip a month ago from reader Johnny Autos that Ferrari pulled the franchise, and if there is any truth to that, rumors at Ferrari Chat suggest it part of the reason could have been Steve Wynn flipping his LaFerrari before the 18-month no-sale period had elapsed. Wynn supposedly sold his $1.5 million supercar to Naples Motorsports in Florida for $3.5 million, Naples is asking $5 million for it and using it for the elementary school run in the meantime. On the other hand, Vegas Tripping says Wynn is letting the dealership go in order to get ready for the Alon – another casino – to open across the street in three years. That story believes Wynn will build a pedestrian bridge and rearrange shops on the Wynn side so that customers enjoy the kind of grand entry he would want. And then there's the theory that Penske is getting out of the Ferrari dealership business to focus on commercial trucks. No matter where the truth is in all of this, what matters to you is that you won't be able to spend $10 to check out Ferraris on the strip anymore. Which means more money for the penny slots.
