Here is your chance to own an amazing head turner at a very fair price. I'm selling my baby of the past 6 years! It has been my privilege to be the proud owner and care taker of this sexy beast! If fact it must have been too sexy because now I have two little kids and need something more practical.

This truly is a breathtaking example of this model. The metallic charcoal paint, red calipers, and custom one off HRE Forged 19" Rims ($7,000 plus 19" Michelin Pilot Sports) really set this car off. The Maserati Coupe can really go from blah to wow depending on the color and rims. More neutral colors make it too much of a sleeper. This is a GT, which has the highly desirable manual transaxle out of the 575 Ferrari Maranello and the brakes off the F430 Ferrari.

I can not overstate how much better the true manual is versus the Cambiocorsa (F1) tranny. If you want to eat up clutches, deal with failed clutch pumps, and have jerky rides around town buy the F1; otherwise be a man and drive a manual. There is a reason why the true manual commands a 7-10k premium over the automated manual.

The car has an upgraded Tubi Exhaust ($3,500 plus labor) which sounds UNBELIEVABLE. I also upgraded the air filter with a high flow one from Formula Dynamics ($125). I have always run Red Line synthetic in the transaxle and either special formula "Ferrari specific" Shell synthetic (which is super pricey) or special formulated Mobil 1 (which is super pricey). In fact other than basic maintenance; this car has be largely flawless. I have only had to replace the mass air flow meter, window regulator, and a couple of relays. This car has been stored in my AC'd garage/Man Cave which my wife is turning into a play room for my three year old, oh joy. Most of the time under its cover which I will include with the car. I also have covered parking at work. Of course being a Florida born and raised car it has never seen snow.

As you can also tell from the pic this car was highly optioned from the factory with the Full Carbon Fiber kit, Leather headliner, Skyhook suspension, heated seats, really cool two tone interior with contrasting stitching, park distance control, piping, and more. The first owner checked all the right boxes. The Skyhook Suspension is actually part of larger sport package that turns the car from grand tourer to sports car with the flip of a switch. Maserati really built an impressive car.

This car has a CLEAN Carfax and all service records from the past 6 years. The Michelin Pilot Sports are in great shape and the brake pads look like new.  I also have a copy of the original window sticker!

Whats the bad news about the car? The five disc cd changer doesn't work (who listens to CDs anymore?) and it does have the sticky button issue which affects all Ferraris, Maseratis, and Lambos. Check out stickynomore dot com. They correct that issue.

So if you want to buy a beautiful car from the loving owner as opposed to a used car dealer that knows nothing about the car then give me a call. I have a 100% rating and will be straight forward with you. I'm also a Ferrari/Maserati Club member and car enthusiast who appreciates these machines.

If you would like so see additional HD pictures or the CARFAX please let me know and I will email you.

Maserati orders explode, 22,500 through September

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

Last year when Maserati revealed a plan to sell 50,000 units globally by 2015, it seemed like a pretty steep goal for an automaker that had sold just 6,300 units for the entire year. It turns out that goal may be a little on the conservative side. Through September, Automotive News Europe says the Italian automaker has already racked up 22,500 orders mainly on the backs of the redesigned Quattroporte and the all-new Ghibli, and there are still more new products in the pipeline.
Back in August, we heard that demand in China was playing a strong role in Maserati's big numbers in 2013, and this doesn't even include the upcoming Levante SUV, which Maserati CEO Harald Wester expects to add as many as 25,000 units to the mix when it goes on sale in 2015. According to the ANE report, the Quattroporte is still the most popular model with almost 10,000 orders so far this year, while the smaller and more affordable Ghibli is performing quite well with almost 8,000 orders; the aging, but soon-to-be-replaced, GranTurismo models have about 5,000 orders.

Why Italians are no longer buying supercars

Wed, 08 May 2013

Italy is the wound that continues to drain blood from the body financial of Italian supercar and sports car makers. The wound was opened by the country's various financial police who decided to get serious about superyacht-owning and supercar-driving tax cheats a few years ago, by noting their registrations and checking their incomes. When it was found that a rather high percentage of exotic toy owners had claimed a rather low annual income - certain business owners were found to be declaring less income than their employees - the owners began dumping their cars and prospective buyers declined to buy.
Car and Driver has a piece on how the initiative is hitting the home market the hardest. Lamborghini sold 1,302 cars worldwide in 2010, 1,602 cars in 2011 and 2,083 cars in 2012 - an excellent surge in just two years. In Italy, however, it's all about the ebb: in 2010, the year that Italian police began scouring harbors, Lamborghini sold 96 cars in Italy, the next year it sold 72, last year it sold just 60. The declines for Maserati and Ferrari are even more pronounced.
Head over to CD for the full story and the numbers. What might be most incredible isn't the cause and effect, but where the blame is being placed. A year ago the chairman of Italy's Federauto accused the government of "terrorizing potential clients," this year Luca di Montezemolo says what's happening has created "a hostile environment for luxury goods." Life at the top, it ain't easy.

2017 Maserati Quattroporte gets updated styling, equipment

Tue, Jun 14 2016

Maserati revealed a series of updates to the Quattroporte, the most obvious of which is revised styling inspired by the Alfieri coupe concept. The overall shape remains the same, but there's a new grille and front bumper, matte black trim, and an active aero element similar to the air shutter on the Levante crossover that helps cut drag by 10 percent. The Modenese automaker also took the opportunity to update the interior, principally integrating a new 8.4-inch multi-touch dashboard display to replace the old 7-inch unit. Manipulated by a new rotary multimedia controller, the system supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. A new driver assistance package available as an option, encompassing adaptive cruise control, lane-departure and forward-collision warning systems, and automatic emergency braking. There are two new trim packages as well – dubbed GranLusso and GranSport – that can be optioned on the Quattroporte S and S Q4 or chosen between on the GTS model. Under the hood, both engines carry over unchanged. Standard power still comes courtesy of a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 good for 404 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, channeled through an eight-speed automatic transmission to either the rear wheels or all four. The GTS packs a bigger 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, still rated at 523 hp and 524 lb-ft. 0-60 times as a result remain unchanged at 4.9 seconds for the Quattroporte S, 4.8 for the all-wheel-drive Quattroporte S Q4, and 4.6 for the Quattroporte GTS. US pricing will be announced "in the coming weeks," we're told, however Maserati will begin delivering the revised Quattroporte already this month. The relevant question is whether these changes can help Maserati take a bigger slice of the fullsize luxury sedan market away from rivals like the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes S-Class. Maserati sold fewer models across its entire range in the United States last year than Mercedes did of the S-Class family, making the Quattroporte something of a footnote in this elite segment. If what we're looking at here represents a mid-cycle refresh of the model introduced in 2013, it will likely be 2019 before FCA's most upscale brand replaces its flagship sedan altogether.
