i have recently started to build a full on rally car and i just have too many other toys.
this is the coupe gt with a manual transmission with a new battery, oil+filter change, clutch approx. 5k miles ago, cd of factory shop manual, and all 39 center consle buttons have been refurbished by stickynomore, rear muffler delete, and will come with OEM mufflers that are easy to put back on, but it sounds incredible now and im sure you will leave it. Lots of documentation including clean carfax, , work order for clutch, 30k service, and all other services. i am the 4th owner and i bought it in august 2012. the heater core has just started to leak, the hoses have been disconnected and ran together until the fix is done, so no coolant will be leaking in the cabin. please contact me via phone call or text 810 599 6589, im in sterling heights mi if anyone wants to see it, must be a serious buyer.
pictures were taken on 5/18/2013. there is also a video of the exhaust here http://youtu.be/erPjLAcDZyA
about the heater core. maserati has sourced this part from the alfa romeo 166 car. the problem is that while the matrix of the core is aluminum, the caps on the sides are plasic. and over time it begins to leak. the previous owner just started to smell a bit of coolant in the cabin and took this car to ECS of virginia (one of the countries premier exotic car shops) and there he had them tie the supply and return into themselves so there was no flow to the heater core. his reasoning to me was that "its never going to be driven in the winter so i didnt want to waste my money" there is no negative side effect to his "fix", as in, the cars electronics doesnt know this so there arent any annoying warning lights or performance issues, it simply does not have heat, a/c of course works fine. the cost of the heater core is anywhere from $150-$300 depending upon if you want to buy it from maserati ($300) or just go right to the source, alfa romeo ($150 at rockauto.com) it is a labor intensive job so professional estimates range from $1500-$2500, which is primarily labor. but if you have a weekend to do it yourself its not difficult, just time consuming, and you'll save some money. i work 7 days 10-12 hours so i just havent had a chance personally.

2015 Maserati Quattroporte gets the lightest possible updates
Wed, 19 Nov 2014A week after its debut on the interwebs, Maserati has trotted out its freshened Quattroporte range at the LA Auto Show, giving us our first in-person look at the changes to the top-of-the-line GTS trim.
Maserati has tweaked the headlights across the range, while the GTS gains new body-color trim pieces on the lower bodywork. Red badging on the wheelcaps and and a freshened trident badge are some of the more obvious changes, while new lower bodywork is matched to the main exterior color. While these tweaks are nice, we aren't totally sure they deliver on the "sportier and aggressive appearance" that the Italian company is aiming for in model year 2015.
What do you think? Could Maserati have stood to go further for the 2015 Quattroporte, or is this sort of super-light freshening just what the doctor ordered? Let us know what you think in Comments.
2014 Maserati Quattroporte [w/video]
Wed, 12 Dec 2012Vastly Upgraded Italian Speed Sedan Kicks Off Brand Renaissance
The sixth-generation Maserati Quattroporte is big - and not just because it's 6.5 inches longer than before with a wheelbase that stretches 4.3 inches beyond its predecessor. The new Quattroporte is big also because it's a huge deal both for its segment and for Maserati. Just as FoMoCo is finally chucking $1 billion at Lincoln MoCo, so too is Fiat investing 1.2 billion euros ($1.55 billion at the time this writing) in Maser's future hopes of achieving the larger success we all have wished for it. And after a thorough drive over the intensely challenging mountain roads of France's Mediterranean coast, we can't deny that there's finally reason to put some faith in this long overdue investment.
The much-applauded outgoing Quattroporte enjoyed a reputation of being among the very fastest executive sedans of its day, all while delivering the sportiest overall ride and handling, even in base trims. Yet there was constant corporate-level dysfunction that kept all Maseratis from getting important upgrades or receiving much-needed investment support. So, the outgoing Quattroporte has up until now sort of languished nobly, largely resting on the laurels it earned when it launched way back in 2003.
Maserati rules out smaller Macan rival
Tue, Mar 17 2015These days every luxury automaker is going after the Porsche Cayenne with a crossover of its own. Among those coming up is the Maserati Levante, which will mark the Trident marque's first foray into high-riding territory. But don't expect it to follow up with a Macan rival as well. Speaking with Autocar, Maserati chief Harald Wester ruled out the possibility of a smaller crossover to join the Levante in the Modenese automaker's lineup, ostensibly because doing so would step on the toes of other brands under the Fiat Chrysler umbrella – particularly with Alfa Romeo set to launch a crossover of its own. "We are an extremely complex multi-brand group and to have every doing a little bit of everything is not the right way," Wester told the British magazine. "In this business, you should never say 'no' in a dogmatic way, but my personal opinion is that Maserati wouldn't want to go below the Levante in size." And Wester's opinion goes a long way in the halls in Turin and Auburn Hills: he's head of both the Maserati and Alfa Romeo brands, and is also the group's Chief Technology Officer. That's something that has never seemed to deter the Volkswagen Group, though, where Bentley is gearing up to take on its sister company's Cayenne with the upcoming Bentayga and is also said to be considering a Macan rival. And that's to say nothing of other SUVs occupying similar size and price positions from Volkswagen, Audi and potentially Lamborghini. Which only serves to underline the different approaches taken by Europe's two largest automakers. Look for the Levante to debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
