Green Eclipse Spyder Gs 2.4l Non-turbo on 2040-cars
Rocky Face, Georgia, United States
Up for sale is an unmodified 1998 Eclipse GS.
I am the SECOND owner. It has 100500 miles and starts and runs well. It is not perfect, there are issues, but it does run and drive. The engine runs well but upon start the valves tick a little. This goes away after the car warms up. The accessory belts need tightening as they squeal until the car gets warm. The transmission needs a fluid change. The transmission slides out of gear under wot from 2-3 gear. Otherwise it shifts well and smooth. (I am assuming that the issue should be cleared with a fluid exchange, but I am not positive.) The car has 50% tread life remaining and there is no spare. Everything else seems to be in good order, The heat is hot and ac is cold, the lights work and the top goes up and down as it should. The only leaks the top had was in the summer when I washed it and sprayed right at the seam, and in torrential spring storms. Rain is not an issue. The speakers are no good, but the radio works. Paint is in decent shape, aside for a few minor front bumper scratches and a cart ding on the rear passenger quarter. It has leather seats with minor wear. The drivers door handle is broken on the outside, but I will supply the replacement handle, you just have to put it on The passenger rear view window housing is broken, but the adjuster knob works fine. I have been overly honest and open with the condition of this vehicle. I have probably overstated the negatives. Local pick up only, I will not ship. There are no warranties expressed or implied. This car would make an AWESOME drivable project for a tuner. Sale in cash or paypal only. Clean title will only be transferred when paid in full. |

Maserati's new North American CEO is Chrysler's dealer guru
Wed, 13 Nov 2013There's been a bit of a shakeup among the executive ranks at Chrysler and Maserati, as the Italian sports car manufacturer has appointed Peter Grady as its new North American CEO. Grady, who we imagine is about to get a very nice upgrade to his company car, will retain his role as vice president of dealer network development for Chrysler and Chrysler Capital, and is replacing Bob Graczyk at Maserati.
"It is with pleasure and anticipation that I welcome Peter to Maserati. He brings to our company nearly 30 years of leadership and experience. His background and industry expertise will be a great basis for the continued expansion of Maserati in North America," said Maserati CEO Harald Wester in a statement.
Also joining the team at Maserati is Saad Chehab, who previously worked for the Chrysler and Lancia brands and will be the new head of marketing for the Italian brand. He'll be replaced by Al Gardner, the former boss of Chrysler's southeast business center, as the head of Chrysler brand, according to Automotive News.
2015 Maserati Quattroporte gets the lightest possible updates
Wed, 19 Nov 2014A week after its debut on the interwebs, Maserati has trotted out its freshened Quattroporte range at the LA Auto Show, giving us our first in-person look at the changes to the top-of-the-line GTS trim.
Maserati has tweaked the headlights across the range, while the GTS gains new body-color trim pieces on the lower bodywork. Red badging on the wheelcaps and and a freshened trident badge are some of the more obvious changes, while new lower bodywork is matched to the main exterior color. While these tweaks are nice, we aren't totally sure they deliver on the "sportier and aggressive appearance" that the Italian company is aiming for in model year 2015.
What do you think? Could Maserati have stood to go further for the 2015 Quattroporte, or is this sort of super-light freshening just what the doctor ordered? Let us know what you think in Comments.
