Here is my 1980 Chevy Monza Spyder. She started out life as a 4 cylinder 4 speed no frills car. Only options were Spyder package, Gauge package, Tilt Wheel and Posi rear. I started to swap a built 383 engine with a Super T-10 4 speed. The trans has a 3.42 first gear. The only modification I made other than the engine swap was a set of weld in Frame connectors. That is why I have the seats all out. I soon found out that the bell housing is hitting the transmission tunnel. The bell is out of a 69 Camaro that had a 350 V8 in it.
I put the car on the back burner only fiddling with it once or twice a year for the last 8 years. The body has had one repaint in the original color some years ago before i got it. The engine I don't remember what was done to it as I didn't build it. I did run the engine before I bought it. It was in a 1979 Camaro Z28. I do know the crank and rods were balanced to the flywheel. And we can all see the roller rockers. The intake is a NOS Weiand from the early 80's. I have a batch of engine parts (Performance ignition, distributor ect..) to go with the car.
There are a new (But rusty) set of Sanderson Street Rod headers specially made for the Monza application. A brand new factory V8 radiator. I do have the front fender ground effects that are special to the 1980 model year Spyder. There is a ton of stuff new and used that goes with the car including a set of the 13 inch 10 Hole Aluminum Spyder Wheels with new correct lug nuts. 3 with NOS center Caps and 2 have Brand new tires on them!
I have clear title in my name. The car's body is in very good shape rust wise with the worst part in the upper part of the passengers door.
If you need a pic of something let me know and if I don't have it I will gladly get it for you.
No, I will not sell any parts! If I can't sell the car whole or as a roller without the engine and transmission it will stay here. ;)

Maserati Ghibli pricing announced for UK

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

Maserati's newest car, Ghibli, is a stunningly well-proportioned luxury sedan mixing the styling of the larger Quattroporte sedan and the GranTurismo coupe. We found it plenty good to in our First Drive review, and now we know how much it will cost (in the UK, at least).
Ghibli pricing announced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is for customers in the UK, but based on current exchange rates and prices of other Maseratis sold here in the US, we can estimate its MSRP for our market. The base Ghibli, with a twin-turbocharged V6 making 325 horsepower, will cost 52,275 pounds for the Bits, making $75,000 a good guess for American buyers. If that number holds true, however, the Ghibli would be in a price category above its main competition from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Take a step up to the Ghibli S, sporting a naturally aspirated V8 producing 404 hp, and you'll have to fork out 63,415 pounds or an estimated $91,000 here.
Just for kicks, the Europe-only Ghibli Diesel, which makes 270 hp and 420 pound-feet of torque with its diesel V6, is the least-expensive Maserati 48,830 pounds. Running an estimated $70k for us, we'd really like to have that one, too. After all, the sparkplug-less engine is the same one found in the Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel.

Alfieri headed for production based on strong Maserati sales

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

Maserati has been on a heck of a product surge recently. After years of subsiding on versions of the previous Quattroporte and the aging GranTurismo, the Modense automaker rolled out the new Quattroporte the year before last, the Ghibli last year, it will introduce the Levante crossover next year and - according to the latest intel - will begin production of the Alfieri sports car the year after that.
The Alfieri concept debuted just last month at the Geneva Motor Show, taking the form of a two-door sports car foreshadowing the brand's new design language. Reception was positive, but it appears that sales of Maserati's existing models is what's giving the Alfieri the green light.
According to Automotive News, citing an interview given by Maserati chief Harald Wester on Bloomberg Television, the brand has been getting 3,500 orders per month, putting it on track to sell 42,000 units this year - nearly three times as much as the 15,400 it sold in 2013. The profits generated off those orders could be enough by themselves to offset the losses which Fiat is expected to record this year based on flagging sales for the Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Jeep brands in Europe.
