2008 Maserati Quattroporte Base Sedan 4-door 4.2l on 2040-cars
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States
2008 Maserati Quattroporte Black Exterior/Black Interior 18,730 Miles This Maserati Quattroporte is in very good condition inside and out.You will not find another Quattroporte on the market for sale with the features this vehicle has. The previous owner put a very large amount of money into upgrading the vehicle to make it the way it should have come from the factory. See the list of mods below. I also have listed below a general list of issues these cars have with notes regarding this particular Quattroporte. Upgrades/Modifications: Stereo and head unit completely
redone - There has been a Kenwood touch screen installed in a way that it
overlays the factory system. All factory systems still function like they are
supposed to, but when you hit the factory TV button on the dash it switches to
the Kenwood unit. The stereo modifications cost almost $10k, and was worth
every penny. It gives you several features that you will not find on any other
Quattroporte. ·

SiriusXM ·
Ipod Connection ·

Touch Screen Custom Exhaust – This is a custom
system that has been fine-tuned, and sounds incredible. The tips are blacked
out. This is truly one of the best sounding cars you will ever hear. Angle Eye Headlights, and
upgraded HID’s – These add a very unique look to the car, and look great. They
can be easily removed. Custom Tune – This car has had a
chip installed, and was dyno tuned. 20x8.5” Giovanni Killis wheels
with brand new front tires. Rear tires are still in good shape. Factory wheels
included with sale. Battery Tender – This is a must
have for a Quattroporte that isn’t driven daily. If the battery dies on these
cars they have to be taken to the shop and reprogrammed.
All maintenance is up to date. Bushings – No play in the
steering at all. Super firm and responsive. All A/C and heat systems work
perfect with no issues or noises. Brake pads and rotors are in
great shape. Cam Variators – No noise on
startup at all. Just a smooth running engine. Steering wheel – The shroud that
typically warps on these has been replaced. TPMS works perfect. All windows work perfect, and
roll up and down smoothly. All suspension components are
solid, do not make any noise, and function properly. Rear sun shade works perfect. Rear tie rod recall – I have not
had a chance to have this done, as the closest certified dealer is 3 hours
away. This is free to have done, and if it is a concern I can make arrangements
to have completed prior to purchase completion. The exterior is near flawless,
with the only issues being some very small indentions on the rear bumper near
the trunk lid. This is from the previous owner leaving the battery tender
plugged in, and backing out of the garage. It is barely noticeable. The interior is in as close to perfect
condition as you can get with a used car. No tears in the rear console area
that is very common with Quattroportes. |

2017 Maserati Model Year Preview and Updates
Wed, Mar 1 2017From a storied past, to an almost-forgotten nameplate and to what it offers today – in the guise of two four door sedans, a coupe or convertible GT and its first-ever SUV – Maserati has, over the last several years, quietly exploded into the ranks of desirable brands. And with the introduction of the all-new Levante SUV (pictured above), the Italian marque once again confounds the skeptics. MASERATI LEVANTE: The Levante, Maserati's first-ever SUV, arrives in the US marketplace at exactly the right time, as interest in all-road capability has never been higher, and high-end offerings have never been more numerous. Supplying what Maserati describes as best-in-class on-road handling in 'sport' mode and leading off-road comfort, propulsion is supplied by your choice of two V6 powertrains: a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 345 horsepower in the Levante, and the same basic V6 with 424 horsepower in the Levante S. GHIBLI: Maserati's most accessible model, with a base price of just over $70K, is unchanged for 2017. GRAN TURISMO COUPE/CABRIOLET: Maserati's 2+2 coupe and convertible are unchanged for 2017. QUATTROPORTE: Maserati's luxury four-door receives an exterior nip here and tuck there, along with updated infotainment inside. Available in both GranLusso and GranSport, you can enjoy sport-oriented luxury or luxury-oriented sport. And unlike its siblings, which offer either V6 powertrains or V8 powertrains, the Quattroporte allows the buyer to select one from each column.
Maserati bringing new sports car concept to Geneva?
Tue, 25 Feb 2014Maserati is in the midst of a major product overhaul. The Quattroporte was recently redone, the Ghibli is a fresh new model and the Levante crossover is still in the pipeline. But what about its two-door line? Surely Maserati hasn't forgotten about those, right?
Not according to the latest gossip, it hasn't. Word has it that in celebration of its centenary this year, the Trident marque is preparing a new sports car concept to unveil at the Geneva Motor Show. Apparently smaller than the aging GranTurismo, the new concept is said to take aim at the Jaguar F-Type - not to mention the Porsche 911.
According to GTSpirit, the concept could pack the Modenese automaker's new twin-turbo V6 or V8 engines, but no matter how many cylinders, it's understood we're likely looking at a front-engine/rear-drive layout and an automatic transmission.
Why Italians are no longer buying supercars
Wed, 08 May 2013Italy is the wound that continues to drain blood from the body financial of Italian supercar and sports car makers. The wound was opened by the country's various financial police who decided to get serious about superyacht-owning and supercar-driving tax cheats a few years ago, by noting their registrations and checking their incomes. When it was found that a rather high percentage of exotic toy owners had claimed a rather low annual income - certain business owners were found to be declaring less income than their employees - the owners began dumping their cars and prospective buyers declined to buy.
Car and Driver has a piece on how the initiative is hitting the home market the hardest. Lamborghini sold 1,302 cars worldwide in 2010, 1,602 cars in 2011 and 2,083 cars in 2012 - an excellent surge in just two years. In Italy, however, it's all about the ebb: in 2010, the year that Italian police began scouring harbors, Lamborghini sold 96 cars in Italy, the next year it sold 72, last year it sold just 60. The declines for Maserati and Ferrari are even more pronounced.
Head over to CD for the full story and the numbers. What might be most incredible isn't the cause and effect, but where the blame is being placed. A year ago the chairman of Italy's Federauto accused the government of "terrorizing potential clients," this year Luca di Montezemolo says what's happening has created "a hostile environment for luxury goods." Life at the top, it ain't easy.
