2006 Maserati Quattroporte on 2040-cars
Portland, Oregon, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : gene.honold@clovermail.net .
Putting up for sale my 2006 Maserati Quattroporte GT. Its in absolute excellent condition, as close to brand new
as a car can be. I love the car, only reason I'm selling it, I'm moving into a 2 seater. My kids just became of
driving age, no longer need a 4 door and I need to sell this in order to purchase this Lamborghini Gallardo have my
sites set on. These Maserati's have Ferrari engines and transmissions in them, it has the F1 transmission and can
be in just automatic mode or put in it manual mode and shift with the paddle shifters right behind the steering
wheel, its a dream to drive with just under 400 horsepower, and is very comfortable at the same time. All the
maintenance is current and I have all the maintenance records from the previous owner, I just performed an oil
change 500 miles ago, car needs absolutely nothing!!! I purchased the car from Ron Tonkin Grand Turismo dealership
in Portland, OR last year, I removed my personalized license plates and reinstalled the inserts from when I
purchased it. I will purchase a trip permit if you choose to drive the car home. It has a clean title, clean car
fax, never been an accident, never had any paint work done, ever!! Of course it has all the power options, factory
navigation, moon roof, very nice sounding factory Bose stereo system, key less entry, HID headlights, the car has
everything. Tires are 80%+, again it needs nothing, I've never had any mechanical issues, it has been babied, it
sits in a heated garage under its car cover. I can go on and on about how great it is and if I could afford keeping
it and getting my Gallardo I would!!

Only best-performing US Fiat dealers to get Alfa Romeo franchises
Mon, Feb 24 2014Alfa Romeo has been rumored to return to the US market so many times for so many years, it's hard to keep count. This time, though, Fiat Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne promises that it's for real. Alfa is scheduled to reappear in the States this summer with its 4C sports coupe as its introductory model. However, buyers won't be able to pop into just any Fiat showroom and leave with a 4C – it's planning to only sell Alfas at its best-performing dealers, according to The Detroit News. In fact, the first 4Cs sold here won't be sold at Fiat dealers at all. Instead the first shipment of cars in June will go to Maserati dealers, not unlike the handful of Alfa 8C Competizione coupe and convertible models that trickled in starting in 2008. According to Fiat Chrysler spokesperson Rick Deneau, the company is still deciding which Fiat retailers will participate in Alfa's reentry. Many of Fiat's US dealers are apparently not happy with the meritocracy approach. They built Fiat showrooms partially on the promise that Alfa would enter the US market in 2012, then 2013, and now later this year. Even worse for them, the prospects for more mainstream Alfa Romeo models in the US are still questionable. This isn't the first time that we've heard that Fiat plans to keep Alfa Romeo exclusive in the US. Still, Fiat only plans to export about a 1,000 4C sports coupes a year here. If Alfa wants to be a legitimate player in America and be a money-making concern globally, it will need far more sales than that. Maserati Ghibli GranLusso gets semi-autonomous tech and updated styling
Thu, Aug 24 2017Maserati's littlest sedan is getting a little bit of a makeover in the form a new GranLusso trim for the Ghibli. It will make its official debut at the Chengdu auto show in China, and it mostly consists of aesthetic updates. Up front, the GranLusso gets a grille that has chrome vertical bars in addition to the surround. They also appear thicker and more aggressive. The lower grille has been reshaped, with the outboard openings sweeping up and out, creating more of a smile shape. The headlights are less busy, with a very narrow LED accent strip, and square-shaped projectors. Along the side, the GranLusso gets some badges to tell everyone you got the newest fanciest Ghibli. At the back, the rear bumper has been ever so slightly reshaped at the base. Maserati claims the changes make the car more aerodynamically efficient, but don't give specifics, and frankly we can't imagine the improvement nearly enough to make any real difference to the way the car drives or performs. Styling tweaks aren't the only addition to the GranLusso though. The car will feature some type of semi-autonomous or autonomous driving technology. Again, no specific details were given. We reached out to Maserati for an explanation, and they wouldn't elaborate, saying that there should be more info when it makes its debut at the Chengdu show. No release window or pricing were given either. Related Video:
Maserati's Super Bowl spot may have cost more than $700 per car [w/video]
Mon, 17 Feb 2014It's no secret that Super Bowl ad time is very, very expensive, with a 30-second spot for this year's game costing around $4 million. For Maserati, which aired a 90-second spot showing off its new Ghibli sedan during this year's game, the price was considerably above $4 million, though.
Automotive News estimates that the spot cost Maserati the equivalent of over $700 for each of the 15,400 vehicles sold last year. That works out to nearly $11 million. It may have paid off, though, as search traffic for Maserati and the Ghibli in particular saw a significant spike following the airing of the stylish commercial, and the brand's total sales were already on target for record levels before the ad aired.
The Ghibli "deserved a wide audience platform such as the Super Bowl," according to Maserati's chief marketing officer, Saad Chehab. The sports sedan is Maserati's most affordable entry, with prices starting around $67,000, moving the brand further downmarket than it's ever ventured before.
