Year:1985 Mileage:57510
Location:

Chatsworth, California, United States

This super cool Maserati needs work, but has tons of potential. Great style and lines, like nothing else on the road. Build your own unique James Bond Villain sedan! Appears to be all original and complete (missing one quarter emblem). Low miles, Ca and Nevada since new. Not running, no keys! Was donanted to me by a friend of my brand (ICON), but unfortunately I need the space more than (yet another) interesting project vehicle. This is a no reserve auction, and the proceeds will be donated to the Bill Foundation. They are a great charity in the LA area, involved in dog rescue and training. I found out about them when I adopted my third dog, Carly! Vehicle is located in Los Angeles (Chatsworth). Local buyers are welcomed to come see. Inspections are welcomed. I know nothing more about the car than what I have listed here! Thanks, JW PLEASE NOTE_ The VIN entered is not the correct VIN. For some reason Ebay will not accept the VIN. Proper VIN is ZAMBV110XFA305234 The Bill Foundation is a Los Angeles based 501c3 non-profit Animal Rescue. Here and now, we rescue as many dogs as possible to alleviate the suffering of those abandoned in shelters or on the street. We strive to provide the highest standard of vet care and training until our dogs are adopted into stable safe loving homes. Since receiving our non-profit status and beginning operation in May 2000, Bill Foundation has rescued and placed over 2200 dogs and counting. Our History In the beginning there was Bill, a 10-month-old Golden Retriever and Lab mix Jo and Peter Forman found starving and filthy, foraging in a trash can in August 1988. For ten years Bill was a part of the Forman’s family. He brought laughter, joy and the kind of wonderful companionship that only a dog can provide. When Bill lost his battle to cancer in 1998, the Forman’s resolved to honor his memory by working to save other dogs like Bill who deserve a second chance at life. It was shortly after that the Bill Foundation was born. Funding BIll Foundation does not have an endowment, nor do we receive any funding from any city, county, state or federal sources. We rely solely on donations to continue our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and place at risk dogs. Every dollar contributed brings us closer to the day when no dog is left behind. Your contributions directly support the rescue, care and placement of our dogs. With your tax deductible donation, we can continue this life-saving work.

1967 Maserati Ghibli puts the grand in grand tourer

Mon, 18 Aug 2014

Motor Tend technical director Frank Markus owns a 1967 Maserati Ghibli, bought back in the early 2000s when "they could be had for Camry money" - now Hagerty values them anywhere from $63,000 to $107,000. The grand tourer designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro outsold the more powerful and less expensive Ferrari 365 Daytona, and the more powerful and more expensive Lamborghini Miura.
Carlos Lago, host of the magazine's Ignition video series, figures it's because of the Ghibli's long-haul comfort and the tractability of its 4.7-liter V8 with 330-horsepower and 330 pound-feet accessed with a five-speed manual, even though he cites the powertrain and suspension as being behind the times.
There's no arguing about the Ghibli's sound, though. You can get several ears-full of it, as well as Lagos' and Markus' thoughts on the car, in the video above.

Maserati to show GranCabrio MC in Paris

Mon, 24 Sep 2012

Maserati sure seems to be milking the GranTurismo franchise for all its worth these days. In addition to plenty of limited editions and sport models for both the coupe and convertible, Maserati recently launched the MC version of the hardtop. Now, ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show, the Modenese automaker has dropped details on its latest iteration of the GT platform, the GranCabrio MC.
Visually, the droptop's most noticeable change is its new face, which has been lifted directly off the MC Stradale coupe. This means the car is a full 48 millimeters longer than the standard and Sport versions of the GranCabrio, but we like the decidedly more aggressive look to that big ol' schnoz. The large rear spoiler has also been reworked for the MC, providing even more downforce to keep that large body firmly glued to the road.
Maserati has not released powertrain details, but we assume that the GranCabrio MC uses the same 4.7-liter Ferrari-sourced V8 as the MC coupe, good for 444 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Maserati calling in new Quattroporte for electrical issue

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

Exotic automobiles are just that: exotic. As in, rare. While Maserati is trying is darnedest to emerge from the fringes, its products are still less common than competitors from Germany, Japan or even the UK. Which is probably - more so than any superior quality or safety standards - why we rarely see the Trident marque's products the subject of a recall. Although it does happen upon occasion.
Back in the spring, Maserati had to call in over seven thousand examples of the Quattroporte, GranTurismo and Alfa 8C over rust issues. Now that the new Quattroporte is upon us, the Modenese automaker has apparently run into another small problem.
This time the issue revolves around the wiring harness for the alternator/starter motor, an improper crimp in which could cause the battery cable to short and start a fire. As a result, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is prompting 63 owners of the 2014 Quattroporte GTS V8 to bring their cars in to their local Maserati dealer to have the wiring harness replaced.
