I have had this car for under a year, purchased from a retired friend of the family (original owner) in Woodside California then driven to Phoenix without any issues. The car is in exceptional condition with only few minor blemishes described below. First and foremost, this Quattroporte has a perfect running 4.9 engine, no parts missing & all original under the hood, air conditioning is disconnected from drive belt and is untested, heater is untested as well, fan blows inside the car front and rear passenger. It was serviced about three months ago with new plugs, wires, cap/rotor/brush. Carburetors were synchronized and jets replaced. Oil changed about 800 miles ago, emissions passed in Arizona with flying colors and is currently tagged until next year. Transmission is a three speed torqueflite which was rebuilt no more than a year ago with all new cooling hose to and back from radiator, torque converter and starter, shifts 100%, NOTE; When the transmission was rebuilt, the rear main seal to the engine was replaced as well for good measure, I personally drove the car around town attending car shows and just to keep it running, I recently went to fill her up with gas, pushed the re-set the trip counter button as I always do & the odometer/trip counter has failed to work since, I drove it home and parked it in the garage, needless to say I will not be driving it anymore in order to preserve it's original mileage. The car's interior is near mint, shows it's low mileage- Floor mats look as though they've never seen a shoe, leather seats all around are 100% no holes/tears/stains including the driver seat and elbow rest. wood interior is slightly cracking from age but not noticable until you feel it with your fingers, Steering wheel leather looks unused, cloth headliner is intact and looks new, leather in the very rear back window shows slight shrinkage from exposure to sun. The electrical system is needing some attention, let's remember it's an 1982, so not everything on this car will be perfect, with that said, let me state that everything on the car works electronically, BUT it's intermittent meaning some features will function sporadically (on and off when it wants to) assuming it's a relay issue, radio, fuel door, clock, horn, are showing power, but low voltage, the radio is an aftermarket removeable face type, I was told it could be the culprit for all these issues but I refuse to remove it. My opinion is a good electrician should look at it. NOTE: what was mentioned just now is the only true CON about this car, ALL the windows, turn signals, dash lights, gauges (fuel level, fuel consumption, speedometer, temp, oil, tachometer (idles perfectly) both mirror adjusters, trunk switch, DUAL power seats, etc work 100% otherwise with the exception of the odometer as mentioned before. The body & paint are VERY clean, with only a few rusty blemishes on the bottom of the doors and a spot on the rear trunk (shown in the photographs), Chrome is 100%, grille is 100%, bumpers are 100%, two wheels were re-finished but the other two need help with aesthetics, otherwise the Campagnolo wheels are straight and not bent with NEW tires installed no more than 800 miles ago. I had the car on a lift and it was inspected, the two fuel pumps are intact, no issues to report, brake pads are OK, tires show no wear, no cracks or broken or missing pieces, dual exhaust looks & sounds good. Trunk is clean & has full size spare Campagnolo wheel with Pirelli tire mounted, no tools or jack included except for a lug wrench. All doors including hood and trunk open and close with a tight seal, no missing parts on the body, and has all original glass from 1982 including heated windshield with no cracks, the car has clearly not been driven much, she is currently street legal and will run forever as long as it's maintenance is done and would not be hard to get to show room condition, a fine example of Italian history, Arizona free and clear title in my name notarized and ready for sale. Shipping will be buyers responsibility, local pick up accepted but not recommended to drive out of Arizona since it's in the 100's here and the A/C is unknown as mentioned. I'd be happy to talk to you regarding this car, I'm very confident that it will please anyone, feel free to call 602.503.1245 John, and dont forget to view the "AutoCheck" (States one owner but in reality I'm the second)

2017 Maserati Model Year Preview and Updates
Wed, Mar 1 2017From a storied past, to an almost-forgotten nameplate and to what it offers today – in the guise of two four door sedans, a coupe or convertible GT and its first-ever SUV – Maserati has, over the last several years, quietly exploded into the ranks of desirable brands. And with the introduction of the all-new Levante SUV (pictured above), the Italian marque once again confounds the skeptics. MASERATI LEVANTE: The Levante, Maserati's first-ever SUV, arrives in the US marketplace at exactly the right time, as interest in all-road capability has never been higher, and high-end offerings have never been more numerous. Supplying what Maserati describes as best-in-class on-road handling in 'sport' mode and leading off-road comfort, propulsion is supplied by your choice of two V6 powertrains: a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with 345 horsepower in the Levante, and the same basic V6 with 424 horsepower in the Levante S. GHIBLI: Maserati's most accessible model, with a base price of just over $70K, is unchanged for 2017. GRAN TURISMO COUPE/CABRIOLET: Maserati's 2+2 coupe and convertible are unchanged for 2017. QUATTROPORTE: Maserati's luxury four-door receives an exterior nip here and tuck there, along with updated infotainment inside. Available in both GranLusso and GranSport, you can enjoy sport-oriented luxury or luxury-oriented sport. And unlike its siblings, which offer either V6 powertrains or V8 powertrains, the Quattroporte allows the buyer to select one from each column.
Maserati MC20 GT2 returns the Trident to GT racing in 2023
Wed, Jul 27 2022Seems we got ahead of Maserati, but now we're on the same page with the Italian carmaker. We wrote about the Maserati Project24 earlier this week, a limited-edition track car not built to race a specific series, instead chasing Maserati's own performance targets. We wondered whether the Project24 was a pivot from the rumored GT3 program planned for the MC20 years ago. Turns out the Project24 is an offshoot of the GT2 program for the MC20, the Italians in Modena announcing they've developed an MC20 GT2 to compete in the Fanatec GT2 European Series Championship next year. The base tech specs listed so far for the MC20 GT2 are the same as the Project24. The twin-turbo Nettuno V6 shifts through a six-speed sequential auto with paddle shifters, sending power to the rear wheels through a mechanical limited slip differential. Brembo CCMR racing brakes hang off a double wishbone suspension with anti-roll bars front and rear and adjustable dampers, just behind custom, forged 18-spoke center lock wheels on racing slicks that can be changed easily thanks to on-board air jacks. A single seat in the cabin is accessorized with an adjustable, multifunction carbon fiber steering wheel, an adjustable pedal box, and air conditioning. Safety features include an FIA fuel tank, rain light, roll cage, six-point harness, and fire extinguisher. The differences that we know of include output, curb weight, and the aero package. Series organizer SRO says GT2 is "formulated to bring gentlemen drivers back to the front of the stage ... whilst being fast and spectacular enough to secure the values of SRO-promoted championships, should the current GT3 category become too expensive for too many of our teams and drivers." GT2 regulations cap output at around 630 hp, just nine more than the standard MC20 throws down — and 110 hp less than the Project24. The series' Balance of Performance rules will ultimately determine race weight and output. The regulations also draw limits around aero devices that Maserati Stile didn't need to heed on the Project24. The aero bit is especially important here because GT2 cars are more powerful than GT3 entries but designed to be less reliant on aerodynamics than GT3 cars, making GT2 versions easier for amateurs to drive at the limit. This is Maserati's first dip back into GT racing above the GT4 class since the MC12 GT1 that snagged close to 100 wins between 2004 and 2010. The race division will sell cars to individuals and race teams.
Maserati Grecale crossover gets a reveal date
Wed, Sep 22 2021The Maserati Levante's little sibling, the Grecale, finally has an official reveal date. The compact luxury crossover will be unveiled on November 16 in Milan. That timing also comes just a few days before the L.A. Auto Show. The Grecale is sized to compete against the Porsche Macan, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, among others. Spy photos have revealed that its styling takes after the MC20 mid-engine sports car, particularly the oval grille shape and the narrow headlights that stretch back over the front fenders. Speaking of fenders, the rears are wide and curvy. The rear taillights are slender and wide. Maserati Grecale 13 View 13 Photos The big question mark for the Grecale is for the crossover's mechanicals. Strong possibilities include the turbocharged four-cylinder from the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, and the V6s from the Maserati Ghibli. It will also get a high-performance Trofeo variant, which would seem to suggest it would get a V8 like the rest of the Maserati Trofeo models. We should have the answers to this question and more this November. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
